I'm not sure why the app even exists if I can only use the app to view data and not edit it. I can view the information directly on my wrist already. I need to be able to modify the name of the workout so that I can keep track of my workout routines in the app. I was able to do this in the Zepp Life app and all other fitness tracker apps I've had for the last 10 yrs. Mi Fitness is failing to sync with Zepp Life, so I cannot document my workouts there either. No tech support in the US.
I just got a new phone and with it the newest version of the app, and the sleep graph is gone! It no longer shows how many times I woke up or for how long. I used that info, please bring it back! Get rid of the "sleep routine" if you want to remove something, it isn't at all accurate. But bring back the graph!!!? Edit: I noticed it also doesn't show my sleep cycles at all. it did notice I woke up twice, but it showed my entire night's sleep as 3 naps! What a mess
Forced to switch from Zepp Life to Mi Fitness when I upgraded my Mi Band 5 (which is still great aside from a dying battery) to a Band 9. It's a shame. There are some oversights that I can live with: You CAN'T log weight in pounds, or distance in miles; the sleep graph sucks. But the major problem is a severe background battery drain that appears after a few weeks of use. The only fix is to reinstall the app and configure it all again. I've missed alarms b/c this app drained my phone overnight.
I have had the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 for years, and it's been pretty okay, but it's trying to be 7,000 different things that it doesn't need to be. Same for their app. This device, and this accompanying app, are simple, to the point, and easy to use. If you're looking to have HAL 9000 to wear on your wrist and control on your phone, don't get this. But if you're looking for a fitness and time focused watch with simple phone integration, this gets my thumbs up.
I like it overall but I wish the calendar sync worked (it doesn't because I have a Pixel phone) and workouts should start being tracked automatically and the sleep seems less accurate than apps I've used in the past. I used to have a Amazon band and I used it a lot and and trusted the metrics and now with this one I find myself not using as much and questioning why it says I had a bad night sleep when I slept 8 hours and my REM sleep was 32%. I think it all should be fine tuned.
Vitality doesn't record properly on device. Doesn't store data for calories on some past days, on other days it doesn't store any step data. With very inaccurate storage if data the app is largely useless. Edit: I bought a new more expensive Xiaomi watch device. Vitality score is still very broken so this is definitely a software issue that nobody seems to want to fix. I run 4 times a week (~9km each) and my score doesn't go above 6. Please just fix it!!!!
It was a nice idea. I can't give it more than one star because, unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it work. My idea was to use zepp for my Mi Band 6 and Mi Fitness for my 5 (since zepp will not connect to 2 devices at the same time). But neither the 5 nor the 6 would connect, even when I told it it was searching for the 6. And Mi Band 5 was not on the list of supported devices.
This app is good. However, there are some shortcomings. First, the app is not syncing after any workout. That's even when you allow permissions in your phone settings for the app. Secondly, the app is utilizing the Europeon metrics. For instance, it's using kilometers vs miles which is actually used in the USA. This needs to be fixed or many users may find an alternative app for their workouts such as Google Fit. Just my observation.
The app is terrible. It never saves goal changes, it often won't sync to the point of having to uninstall and reinstall it. The directions to give the app permission to always run in the background are impossible to follow, the sleep tracker has only worked once, and it takes repeated attempts to get the heart rate monitor to work (although I'm told that could be due to tattoo interference). The hardware is great, but the app ruins it.
I am unable to change to US conversions for distance, weights, temperature. There are only 2 apps available and neither support this. I also noticed that when I changed wallpapers it would only let me use it for a few days, a big red alert would display and I would have to go through the settings again to apply it. It also froze when I tried to use one of my own photos as a wallpaper. So for these reasons I'm out.
Just installed the app yesterday to use with my new Smart Band 7 Pro. The band seems to record some data and I can see it in the overview on the small cards like BPM and stuff, but when I want to see details and click on the cards, it just says "No data". Logging my health stats is useless if I cannot even see the logs. I will wear it some days and potentially return it :(
I really like how affordable and customizable it is. I can focus on just the things I want to know. I have a very disordered eating history and I can remove the weight information. I wish I vould remove the calories burned, but I don't think any fitness trackers do that. You can customize your daily goals and set it as low as 500 calories, so it doesn't have to be triggering.
I received a new Xiaomi Band 7 yesterday and spent most of the day in frustration, trying to get it linked to the Mi Fitness app. Back on it today and the Mi Fitness device finally did complete a link. That's the good news. Part of the functions work -- but part of them don't. The device itself is very impressive, but the Mi Fitness app is like it was never ready for release. It's disheartening.
One of the worst apps I have used. It keeps disconnecting my band and to reconnect it, you will have to factory set the band. Which is a hassle. I tried everything. And nothing seems to work. The moment you exit the app it just disconnects the band. Which does not make any sense because the app should be able to work in the background after modifying the settings on the phone.
I've only had it for about half a day but I'm loving everything so far. Some of my complaints I think are due to my not fully understanding how to navigate it yet, and not being able to change between cal and kcal for the unit of measurement (though I also dont know the difference). But everything is colorful and legible and feeds my need to look at many tiny graphs and charts. Love that I can super easily control music with the band, something that has not been easy for me on other watches.
Works sometimes, but I'd say about 80% of the time I try to manually sync it fails...then it'll just randomly work when I'm doing the exact same thing. The first few weeks I had it, it would sync yesterday's activity even if I logged in after midnight...for some reason starting this week if I don't log in begire midnight, all the days info is gone. The band itself is good but the software is annoying me. Xiaomi Band 7, Redmi 12 phone.
The app worked fine with my smart band 7 pro for a couple weeks, but then it stopped transferring data from the band to the app. Even when manually syncing, none of the data (steps, heart rate, etc.) transfers over. I tried so many things to try to fix this issue (restarting both devices, clearing the cache from the app, force stopping the app, logging out and logging back in, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, etc.) but nothing works. This app is just broken.
Dear Mi Fitness Support Team, I’m experiencing an issue with the Mi Fitness app. The app is not syncing my workout activity data to Strava, even though the connection between the two apps is properly set up. I have tried reconnecting the apps and checking the permissions, but the problem persists. Could you please look into this issue and provide a solution? Thank you for your assistance.
I absolutely dislike this app. I was so excited to get my mi Band 9 Active, but it quickly turned to disappointment. I hate the candlestick style graphs. Switching from Zepp app to this feels like a downgrade. I noticed that it doesn't count the steps that good and it's not refreshing the data in "real-time", sometimes if feels stuck on the data being displayed. I'm going to return it and get a different brand most likely.
The app displays everything in widgets on the main dashboard, which itself is presented well enouy. It updates quickly and there have been no problems synching with the band (Mi band 9). However, the dashboard looks a bit crude and I don't like the method used to display the HR, SPO2 or the stress data. The display in these areas is poor and unclear. It doesn't seem to matter how tight the band is on my wrist, the displayed metrics don't show the data clearly enough.
