unfortunately it's logging me out of my account like every 5 minutes. I can't scroll or even add to cart without it logging me out. I don't notice sometimes and it's becoming a large problem. Also, something that really bothers me. I go to "orders" and it's just showing me the items and delivery dates. No totals, no order numbers, nothing. That's just stupid design to not have my entire order together with order numbers. You did it in an email and website, you can do it on the app.
Glitchy, buggy app. If I add a 2nd or 3rd of one item, every other selection in my cart increases as well. Can't get my credit card to work (only PayPal payments go through), and search is hit or miss at best. Absolute trash most of the time, which stinks because my local stores are out of stock all the time, so I'm stuck trying to order from an abysmal, frustrating app.
Normally, the Michael's app is fine. A little slow here and there, normal app stuff, but for the past 2 days, the app has been completely unusable. Every search brings up an error message, no information on promotions or anything else will load, just error after error. Even after reinstalling the app 3 times, no improvement and it "can't locate any stores" within 200 miles anywhere I put in.
If I could give zero stars I would. I have used this app on and off for years. I don't always keep it on my phone for storage reasons. But never had a problem with it when I've downloaded it. Tried to download it tonight and as soon as I choose a home store it keeps experiencing a run time error and won't let me do anything. The only options are to restart or close and whenever I try to restart it just happens again. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my phone. Nothing.
The previous update was already bad enough (I hate shuffling through 3rd party items), but this latest one (as of early April 2023) just constantly crashes. Goes right along with your lack of good coupons nowadays and mediocre sales. This used to be my favorite art store to buy supplies for my business. Now, the competition gets 90%+ of my business. I miss the old Michael's. 10/2024-Still always something. Trying to make a purchase, yet app won't save my information for me to even checkout...
the app WAS fine until a few months ago, then it started doing this thing where a little clock pops up and says processing request, and you can't leave that screen. but sometimes it works, not very often though. but it's almost always when im about to check out and need a coupon or a reward. I uninstalled the app, and installed again, hoping it would fix the issue, but its still there.
3 items in my order were canceled. I tried to cancel the whole thing, but I purchased as a guest and it wouldn't let me cancel. Kept being directed to login. Ugh, I should have just went to Amazon instead. Now I'll have to go to the store to cancel my whole order as those canceled items were REALLY needed. I'll just order online and lesson learned. Michael's might end up following Joanns with this trend of canceling order pickups they don't have no digital representatives to assist with orders.
shopping cart and order tracking needs to be fixed. shopping cart feature is really buggy. the item listing will say 999+ available, but after adding to cart, the second you refresh your cart or navigate away, it will remove the item saying there is no stock. then if your order has multiple shipments, there is no way to see updates for the second, third, etc. packages. you can only see the first.
They initially had a really good looking, optimized app that catered to the rewards member, but now parts of the app is unflattering. Prior to the recent update you had your rewards barcode present on the screen, and swiping through vouchers were nice. Now, it is blocky and outdated looking. Even so, navigating to the events can be difficult.
strange error upon opening the app stating: "processing request." not sure if this is Michaels app possibly running some sort of background task like collecting data for individualized pricing, but I have my suspicions that it may be more than just a technical glitch. prices have been removed from almost everything at my local store recently so that you don't know the price of the items until you make it up to the register and they got rid of price checkers at the same time. suspicious timing.
App no longer works properly. When I click on the account, rewards, or cart tabs at the bottom the app freezes. It shows a pop up saying that its processing my request, and if the page doesn't refresh automatically to resubmit my request. I cannot navigate away from that pop-up at all, and I have to close the app. This has made it impossible to do anything on mobile, as the mobile website keeps trying to redirect to the app.
Every time I try to add something to my wish list on this app, I get an error message saying, "Don't have permission to operation." which continues to pop up even after clearing my cache and reinstalling the app. Additionally, the UI is very cluttered and it feels like a poor transfer of the desktop website (which is similarly laggy and glitchy) into a mobile app.
Somehow you broke the app. Constantly says "processing request" with no option of what to do other than cancel if the page doesn't refresh on its own. Has a wish list that you can add things to but when you try to view, nothing is there, even though it says it added it and shows "3 items". Very frustrating. Need a "save for later" option in cart and saving to favorites needs to save the EXACT size/color/other option selected, not just the product. Doesn't allow password manager login either.
This app is currently useless, and it's the only way I shop at Michael's. First I was having issues staying logged into my account. Then I couldn't log in whatsoever. So I deleted the app to reinstall, and now I am stuck in the app setup where it continually says there's no locations in my area (there's plenty). I can't get past this part, it then goes to a blank white screen.
I like Michael's products and variety. Their online pickup, not so much because I DO NOT like the grab and go. People take items not belonging to them. I've ordered for pickup and had items missing. Also the inventory is not on par with what's in store. I've had more order cancelations than anything.
clunky and awkward UI, it almost makes things inconvenient to order online, I mostly just use it to check the stock and availability for my store but even that is hard to do on most days. also has third party sellers on the app that sell things at an insane markup. the app as a whole feels dated, almost like early 2010's, you just have to fight through the slowness, resubmitting requests to look at something, and glitching
App has same issues as others for months. Emailed them with screenshots, then update finally came 8/25. Put together $350 order from supplies needed for months of waiting for them to fix the app. App said it can't handle over 52 items. Reduced order to 38 items at $250 and app will NOT go to payment screen, same problem I emailed them about before the update. Local store doesn't carry the items on my order. App caused an unexpected response - Goodbye!
The app is atrocious. It constantly needs to reload when prompting simple actions such as adding an item to your cart - with a never ending pop-up that says "Processing your request". It's a shame that the virtual interface is so poor considering Michael's has been limiting most of its coupons to Online Only this year, and while most crafters prefer to see products in person they are disinsentivized from browsing in-store, having to opt for a clunky, abysmal app experience instead.
your app is messed up. I for one will not be using it to buy anything now. it jumps all over tells you you are not a reward member when you are getting rewards, doesn't recognize the person signing in, takes you on a wild goose hunt. not worth my time to use this app to buy anything. not running in circles, also would be nice if I could reset my password but that option is not available, app would get a big fat zero if I could!
Terrible app, wasting of time and phony online rewards. There's always a problem to sign in. It doesn't accept any kind of payment, like 5 credit cards are not good enough. It's funny, as all the banks show, that the transactions were successful. I couldn't buy anything through the app. Eventually I couldn't use my online rewards.
