Microsoft Power BI

PowerBI as an app is slow to load. The program overall crashes for days at a time, and is half a day behind on sales data. On a positive note, it is very analytics heavy - so if that is what you need it for you might be happier than we are. I find it to be an exceedingly cumbersome tool.

UI desperately needs overhaul. You need to change those big blocks of boxes for the quick view. It's so cluttered between "Recent and frequent", "Favourites" and and "recommended" they take too much space and serve the same functionality. Inefficient flow. The copilot button isn't needed. Takes up real estate on the screen if it's not used, and I don't see a use case for it. Apps and workspaces should be the focus point and streamlined because that's whats primarily used.

Use this app for work and it helps a lot. Not to many issues, actually works great.

Only allows 3 reports to be favorited. After adding a 4th report, one favorite is forgotten.

Really quite straight forward to set up and getting to use, I'm only using it for rather basic visuals and I am sure there is a lot more that I could utilise but becomes a bit technical and long winded from MS documentation

That's not mobile at all. First of all, there is no infinite scroll for you reports. Meaning that if you have many visuals on the same page, you won't be able to integrate all of them on the mobile view canvas. Buttons does not work very well. Tables are not really responsive (you cannot set an auto-columns width just for the mobile view). On top of that, this mobile view is just avalaible for the mobile app, not for the published-to-web reports or online reports. A shame in 2020.

Forever to load/update. Not easily navigatable.

Not fit for purpose. So small and fiddly that you often can't even click what you meant to, even if you can see it. Very slow to load anything too. Overly complex. It has the potential to be excellent, but just isn't.

It takes a while for the data to load in the morning. Even after it does, the integrity of the data is always questionable as it changes again later in the morning. We can't see previous days/weeks data. We have to sign in three times to access the desktop site. The filtering capabilities suck. It's hard to know where to click to filter, not intuitive at all.

Slower than it should be. Web browser version seems so much quicker. I think more work also needs to be done to make the default visualisations more appealing for the small screen. Eg. A table resize event and properties to fit onto the small screen to say which columns are fixed. Or slicers with smaller margins and text capabilities with a scroll up capabilities when set as horizontal choices for the big screen. Tick boxes are not app friendly. Other features such as page zoom would be nice.

Had for over a year, constant issues, 0 (ZERO) support, been unable to access anything for weeks now.. have open tickets from over a year ago that I've heard nothing on. Even when it does work properly it's as sluggish as can be with even simple things like zooming in and out. Galaxy9+, apple 11(brand new).. doesn't matter android or apple. New update, uninstalled updates and still getting "Something went wrong, contact support "

Great app, and my team is using this mobile version more and more often to view reports on the fly. There were some frustrating bugs early on but they've mostly been resolved. I do wish I could force a refresh of a data set within this app. I still have to use the full website each day to do that as part of our data production/reporting.

I think Power BI is one of the best and easiest analytics programs on the market. I'm a manager of Data Analytics for work so I think that says something. This app is their weakest link, however. Here are my reasons: 1) The touch interface never works right. I can never touch the right thing in the right way to get the data to filter how I want. 2) I can't set defaults, i.e. default start screen 3) I can't refresh the source data or manage data in any way.
