This year, 2023, the app has become a piece of junk!!! The app forces me to login every day that I need to use it to get to my tickets. Often it tells me my credentials are invalid. Then, after several login attempts, using the same stored credentials, it decides I'm OK. I have also experienced multiple problems with the Interactive Games, all season long! There must be something wrong with the 8-8-23 update as new problems have arisen.
super easy to purchase the tickets, but they never showed up in my "wallet". there's no customer support number. just a link to "chat" for support, where you're getting the run around with the same 3 questions and answers. I have tried the "link account" link multiple times, type in my email but still unable to see my tickets. This app needs updates/fixes.
Slow and difficult to buy tickets, frequent errors and unresponsiveness. Update: banging my head against a wall for the past 30 mins, the ticket buying is just the website inside a bad browser. I ended up just going to a PC and using Firefox, because I've had problems with Chrome before too, and FINALLY was able to get through selecting tickets and paying. It's bad when you can't even buy tickets through the ticket buying app, I've never successfully done so but keep trying for some reason.
First, do not give them your email: you'll be sent an email every day and, despite clicking unsubscribe on each, you will be sent another one from a different list and trying to manage those preferences does nothing, so you will end up contacting customer service to tell them to do it for you. I guess MLB is cool with spam. Also info in the app was incorrect for drink pricing and I had to troubleshoot the create account page to sign up to do anything with this app. Not the best experience.
congratulations! you win for the worst app ever made. it took 30 minutes to change my phone number. 60 minutes later i still couldn't change my cc info. it takes you to a 382 terms and conditions page with ADS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND NO WAY TO ACCEPT! it fails every time and forces you to start over from scratch... but you can NEVER finish the purchase. so dumb. gpay also fails because of new google security measures. total junk app. DO NOT USE!!!
Overly complicated and doesn't work all the time. Was unable to enter a game as a parking pass and all tickets never arrived. Only a single ticket would show. I'm updating my review and dropping a star. I tired using it again for a recent game and purchased parking and was quadruple charged. I sent aessage to customer support and just like my last issue, it's just a ploy. They have not contacted me back. Customer service doesn't exist.
Just updated the app today because I got tickets through work. Unfortunately, it keeps telling me that I need to update the app and forces me to come back to the Play store, even though I don't actually have to update. Also, it's very annoying that I can't save the ticket via screenshot or some other method in the event that my internet connection is spotty later at the ballpark.
First time I've seen a developer remove features with an update. Almost all value to me has been destroyed. Now that the journal feature is a shell of what it was, I won't be using this app, outside of the 5 seconds it takes to check-in at a park. Also, now I'll buy all my tickets through resellers like Seat Geek and Gametime because they're easier to use, plus have cheaper ticket prices.
The login/password procedure is totally messed up. It's not just the app, it's MLBs crazyquilt account system. You have an MLB account, a Ticketmaster account, now something called FEVO, using different logins and passwords for each. And they use an email for a login to a phone app, rather than the phone number, which is actually unique to the phone. This week I've spent more time troubleshooting the ticket app than I spent attending games. They have to fix this.
When I first got the tickets more than a month before the game, they weren't in my wallet. I called & they fixed it. I forwarded some of my tickets. Some people struggled to get them & some disappeared completely. I called customer service well before the game and had to call at the game because the tickets still weren't there. I had to go down to the box office & show them the "solutions" weren't working. I kept getting error messages in the app. Finally, got some physical tickets in 5th inning
The app displays the ticket bacode too small with no way to zoom in. This makes it very difficult for the venue to easily scan the barcode on the ticket. Also, the app doesn't automatically set the screen brightness to max when viewing a ticket. Again, this makes it more difficult for the attendant to scan the ticket. It would also be nice if there was a way to transfer purchased tickets to other users/family members so that they can use their own device to get into the game.
If zero was an option, I'd use it. MLB needs to fix THEIR APP! I lost my tickets and can't even find them. Only way to contact customer service is through email and then it's back and forth that way, multiple times getting the same "fixes" time and time again. So I ended up missing the game. No offer of replacement, it's "my fault". How hard is it to port over the tickets from an email? I'm all for digital and contactless in the covid-19 era, but if YOUR PRODUCT DOESN'T WORK, IT DOESN'T WORK!
Very poor. When I buy a ticket within the app, the ticket typically will not show. First time, it caused a lot of problems at the gate as I tried to get into the park. It wouldn't show in the app no matter what I, or the person scanning tickets did. The guy scanning tickets finally suggested that I go directly to the team's website, and go to the ticket inventory there. Lo and behold, there was the ticket with the bar code. Figured I made a mistake. Nope.
Somehow my sister's account got linked to mine so even though she logs in with her email, my email shows as the ticket account, and I can't always access my own tickets. We've made multiple attempts to separate the accounts, but no luck. Each time they do, no one has access to tickets, then when they fix that, we're linked again. Very fruatrating.
My experience was awful. In order to just to redeem tickets, you had to sign up for an account, which involved verifying it, and you needed to click a clink to do that. After clicking the link, it then told me to get the app, which I obviously already did. The only way I could get it to work was to tell my phone to display it as the desktop site which was very complicated and very hard to figure out.
I guess this would work well if the only the app did in fact download. It has been 1 hour since I installed it twice now, and no download yet. For anyone having trouble, call Sloan Park and speak with the receptionist. The tickets can be printed there. Just need the e-mail address you used and the credit card you ordered them on. So much for technology. Exactly why I hate using apps.
Yeah, this app is very unintuitive to use. Took me an inordinate amount of time to locate the tickets I'd bought and then been instructed to download the app to retrieve. Good thing I had a day prior to the game to figure it all out. If we must be forced to use this app then please make it more user-friendly. For example, you'd think to find your purchased tickets you might click on the "tickets" tab. Nope. Got to go spelunking in the depths of the wretched thing to unearth them
Stole hundreds of dollars of Tickets. App will not send verification email, so can't access my tickets. Cust. Service response was basically, sucks to be you, good luck with that. EDIT after posted response: Called Customer "Service" on the phone and after a 20 minute conversation was told flat out they can't fix it and there was nothing they could. ABSOLUTE FRAUD. Next call is my Credit Card to dispute charges.
Check in won't let me add comments and it doesn't post to Twitter or Facebook after I synced the accounts. No support help. The app keeps getting worse every year. This year tickets don't pull up, frequently crashes, freezes, won't recognize you on some days, most STH pages won't load & if they do it loads a blank page. They really need some code work done if MLB is going to to force us to use this. Overall, very poor and frustrating app.
Even when you are logged in and select tickets to buy, it asks you to log in. After using valid logging in information, there are always several error messages. Then, all of a sudden without doing anything differently, everything works. Also, I stay logged in. There are times I use the app for several consecutive games/days - it may work two days, but the third day, I have to log in. Awful app, unfortunately, there is no other choice since ballparks claim they can no longer print paper tickets.
