Nice to have regional news, but I wish I could get rid of the massive photos in the list view. Edit (2/21/25): I'm prioritizing finding another state news source. It asks me to log in again every couple of days, and I can no longer do it from the prompt page when I load a locked story; I have to back out, go to the account settings to sign in, and then try to find the story again. Also crashing more lately, probably due to the awful clickbait ads it inserts every few inches.

I hate that it resets my selections about every 2 weeks so if I want to quickly pull something up, I have to go back and do it all over again. Now, there is NOTHING under the selection tab. Also, when I get a push alert and select it, it doesn't take me to that story. I have to go hunt for it. Provides local news but not without annoyances along the way. Almost not worth it

There's a glitch with the articles. Sometimes, an entire section is on the application's "Saved" folder. This MLive app stops and closes when I want to share articles; except on the Facebook application. I want to share and save articles on other apps. Facebook takes a lot of my memory. Fix the glitch to save articles on the app and the ability to share articles on other apps; besides Facebook.

I'm a paid subscriber, and it shows me logged on but it's stopped showing me subscriber-only content (I can see it fine on the MLive website). Support person tried a few things with me, none of which worked, and now doesn't reply any more to my emails. It used to work until a few months ago Uninstalled.

1. You can't share articles with their share button. It only shares the photograph in the article. Super frustrating. 2. When you click on a notification that interests you, it doesn't takes you to the headline you clicked on but instead it takes you to list of all the current articles and you have to search for it (if you can find it) even if you JUST recieved the notification.

I'm always having issues with this app which is unfortunate, because its a good source of news when it works. You click on one headline and get a completely different story. You have to go down 2 articles and click on that one to read the one that's 2 above it. Look at the last several months ratings of this app, way to get right on a fix for the bugs! Who proof reads these articles too by the way, good grief!?! I finally uninstalled the piece of junk, not worth the aggravation!

So, firstly, this app really should be just a sports app. More than half the 'Top Stories' are sports. Why bother having a separate sports page or Mlive Sports app? Secondly, I get notifications for stories & when I click on them it goes to the main page & then I can't find the article. Useless.

They started pushing notifications...which is fine but when you click an article in notifications it never takes you to that article, it just takes you to their front page. And half the time I cant even find the article after searching for a bit.

I want desperately to utilize this app. It is unusable. Local news is important, and I don't mind paying for it. But I should be able to access the content I pay for with relative ease on my phone, and this app/the mobile web browser make it nearly impossible to do so.

4 out 6 friends are having the same issue. The app will not even open our phones. What the heck?? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times. Shut my phone off and turned back on numerous times but it just won't open. Why is this happening? I used to love reading the app but can't remember the last time I was able to..

No matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall this app or clear my cache and cookies, I cannot get subscriber stories- although it says I'm subscribed and logged in. I have called this company numerous times and they keep "resetting it" but the next time I attempt to read a subscriber story: failure. Please do something to fix this app or this program. Can I rate it 0?

Downloaded to keep up with what is going on in my area and Michigan in general. The biggest fault is the push notifications don't coincide with the news feed. I hit the story and see everything but the item I am looking for. Or I have tapped on stories and the story before it pulls up. As I read other reviews I see the same issue

Every article is truncated in the app. Reading via a web browser reveals the full article/column. Pretty frustrating for an app that's been out there for so long. And two months later, no fix. Pretty lame.

If you are into local sports, like REALLY into local sports, you will love this app. If, however, you are more interested in the important things happening in the state, you're going to want to look elsewhere. I wanted news and politics and found myself out of luck. Seriously, how do you have categories for pro sports, state sports, high school sports, AND local sports, but not state politics? It. Makes. No. Sense.

Something has changed with this app and it's not good. Story photos don't load and headlines link to the wrong stories. Ive contacted developers multiple times and they seem powerless to correct. This has become useless for anything other than headlines. All my Android devices suffer the same problem.

Links for stories will lead to different stories instead, if you click on pictures while in an article it redirects you to a seemly random picture from somewhere on the website. Just kind of a cap app with little to no attention to quality or functionality.

Love the info but hate the fact it fades out, jumps from one story to another without notice, and it often slowly scrolls downward. I have uninstalled and then installed the app again and again but no luck. Very frustrating.

Clicking on notifications on phone will not bring up the story shown. Often the story is hard to find since it is no longer on the main page. Also can't figure out how half the stories are sports related when there are no sports to report on.

The app is good for news I suppose. However the stories never seem to change when you want to see a specific region's news. The worst part about this app is that it will literally take 5 minutes for the stories to load at times. Sometimes a shorter wait, but always a wait.

I get a notification for a story that sounds interesting, so I will click on it and the app launches to the main page, not the actual story I clicked on. More often than not the article that popped up in ny notifications isn't even on the featured stories page.
