Motion for Audi connect

This is a sorry excuse for an app. Cannot believe a luxury brand like Audi is associated with this product. The app connects to the car (2017 A4), but does not talk to it. It shows my location as parked 50 miles away, the fuel reading is wrong, and it cannot detect my drives. Finally, when setting up, I was aksed to place a "test" call to the SOS service from the car. The response? The app asked me to call from a location "near" the car. I was sitting in the car the whole time. LOL.

Since the "myAudi" App no longer works (3G no longer supported), I can't remotely check if the car is locked or unlocked, and even more importantly, I am not able to lock/unlock the car remotely. Please consider adding this very important feature into the Motion for Audi Connect App. The App is incomplete without it. Thanks.

I got this upgraded on my 2018 Q7, was working well for few weeks and was pretty happy the app to have something than nothing after 3G sundown. But from past few weeks it shows me notification saying the car started a trip while it was just parked in my garage. Just keeps giving me anxiety thinking my car is stolen. Please fix it, if this continues I would rather stay without it rather than having to keep running to my garage to see if the car is still there.

First, I am not comparing this app the the previous app. I installed the app and got connected.. Some things I see that need improvement * Bluetooth connectivity. Disconnects when phone Bluetooth is present. That is due to having 2 phones primary and secondary. This app/device needs one of the * Auto health. If nothing is wrong you see nothing. There should be standard checks to say all good. Lastly, more functionality window/door open alerts. Tracking can be left to the GPS.

I called Audi Connect 9/12/25 to find our why my "MyAudi" app wasn't transferring addresses I inserted to the GPS. The AC agent told me it no longer supported 3G. She told me to contact Motion For Audi Connect. So, I called MFAC, they told me to go to my Audi dealer and they would install the app and connect my 2017 Q5 Premium Plus for free. WRONG!!! I went to the dealer and they had no clue what I was talking about! All they could do was upgrade my maps and charge me $800 to do it!!

App keeps complaining Bluetooth is unable to connect, but confirmed that the device is setup in the car as secondary phone, and connected. Loss of features from the old app: Cannot see exact fuel amount any more. Lost ability to lock/unlock remotely, see status of doors and windows. I'll likely disconnect the thing from my ODB port since it's pretty useless.

I have this device in my 2017 Q7 Prestige. This app replaced the MyAudi app when 3g was turned down. It provides none of the useful functions compared to the MyAudi app short of tracking the vehicle, and that's if the device actually connects to the vehicle. I'd say I have the device connect to the vehicle once out of every 20 trips, and even then the only thing that's of use is tracking. This is an awful replacement for the MyAudi service. UPDATE: 6/27/25, no additional features have been added

Stay away from Audi's letters coming home to upgrade from 3g. If you upgrade to this new service and app - you don't get the remote lock/unlock feature (which is part of audi care for 10 yrs since the day car purchased ) ! Why would audi come with such an app which can't even support remote lock/unlock !!?? Audi is going back in medieval ages with this app.

This does NOT have the same capabilities as the myaudi app. You are no longer able to unlock or lock your car remotely or even check if a door or window has been left open. Awesome. How much gas is in my tank? No clue with this app. Is the Warrington, PA speeding 30mph over the speed limit again while unnecessarily joy riding? No clue. (although I believe audi removed that from the myaudi app too) I do like the idea of the disturbance notification if someone hits my car in the parking lot.

Updated rating. After having some recent device connection and service issues, I reached out to support to troubleshoot and discuss. They were very prompt and regular in reaching out to troubleshoot and fix. 5 stars for their support! With their tips and this most recent update, I think we have gotten the issues resolved. Device connection and app are performing as designed now. Still have my fingers crossed hoping it stays that way. Not a perfect solution to Audi's 3G mess, but pretty good.

The app worked great for 3 years, but as of June 2, 2025, the app has been offline and won't reconnect to the car. I've read every blog and watched every YouTube video on how to correct the issue without any success. I'd give the app 4 stars if it worked, 5 it had as many features as the Audi Connect app.

This app definitely helped me out throughout the years, showing me my roughts to and from work while giving me a driving score to reflect on how my previous drives were. Additionally, this app is great for monitoring and showing any harsh breaking evens or rapid accelerations, which although I didn't pay particularly close attention to could be extremely useful for seeing how someone you let drive the car used it.

Trips tracking is neat, but important functionality that was in the old myAudi app is missing--remote lock/unlock, checking status of locks, doors, windows. These are security features that should have been available on day one. Seems like poor product and development planning on Audi's and Mojio's parts given that forcing us to the new app was something they should have seen coming a long time ago. The fact that we have zero choice once the hardware upgrade is done means the customer loses.

No way to turn off the trip history? So far, not a fan. This isn't a replacement for the old app like I was told. The old app can still lock/unlock. This one can't. Seems to much like a big brother app. I will say after speaking with their representatives on the phone it was clear that their company was contracted by Audi to come up with a replacement. I blame Audi for not knowing what their own customers would expect from this technology. This company designed it based on info from Audi.

Motion for Audi Connect website say if I use Android Auto, the Bluetooth connection to "Motion for Audi Connect" will get disconnected and be no voice service during emergency. What kind of a solution is this for 3G turndown?! I understand about technological obsolescence and 3G turndown. Why did Audi even use 3G connection for a 2018 model car when 4G had become so popular at that time? It's funny that a luxury brand like Audi decided to use 3G when they knew it would be outdated soon.

Had to get support for it to work on my Audi. Worked for one day and now the app crashes everytime i start it. Restarted the phone and same issue. Not sure why this has to be so complicated. My wife's Subaru has a better app and features. Seems like Audi's main goal is for this to be a revenue stream instead of an added feature.

The 3G sunset update does nothing worth the time and inconvenience of having the update module installed. The SOS button no longer works, Amazon music and Internet radio are no longer working.

That app does what it says it does. I think its a good alternative to nothing. I understand that Audi could have let us (their customers) lose everything (instead we get something) that are affected by the 3G. Please, if you read this comment, read the details about the app and the features, so you know what you are installing.

So frustrating, it worked only once and now it is not connected with my car anymore. The location of my car is in Maryland and the app shows Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Huge disappointment with this forced migration from the old myAudi app to this one. As others have noted, it has none of the useful features such as door locking/unlocking or window status. This app is more about tracking your driving behaviour and looking for engine fault codes than useful functions. I understand the developers are just doing what Audi requested but this whole migration has been a major failure for Audi. My Toyota app has so many more features for a fraction of the price.
