The content is great, but I stopped paying for the service back in November I think, because it would no longer stream on my TV. When MT+ first came out, I could watch it using my TV web browser and it rocked! Then, only the app on my phone and casting it to the TV would work. Now, all I can do is watch it on a computer or phone. Until this is fixed, I am not paying for the service. I saw a recent review from within the past month saying they still could not stream. Hopefully this gets fixed!

Best car guy content you will ever see in one place, but the app needs work. Video's don't play great if you have crappy internet, on the other hand Netflix had the same problem at the beginning and now it's fixed. Doesn't save shows for you unless you book mark it. Basically copy Netflix and you will be golden. One last problem is can't stream on my Samsung TV, it says you're working on it, but just letting you know it's not fixed yet.

You are now required to cast from your phone to the Xbox if you want to watch anything. Cancelling the subscription is turning out to be impossible as well. All of the links you're supposed to navigate through do not exist (at least for me), so now not only is the app unusable for me, they also get $50/yr from me still. I'm in the process of contacting customer support but I think we can all guess how smooth that's gonna go.

I've never felt the need to leave a review on an app until now. Since MotorTrend decided to take Roadkill off of YouTube, I downloaded the app so I could watch my favorite show. I figured that maybe I could still get episodes for free on their app after a month or so like they used to do with YouTube, I guess not. Apparently Greed pulled creating great content out of the drivers seat and speed off. The absolute worst thing about the app? having 5 sets of 3 ads that are all exactly the same.

The most recent update breaks streaming to other apps. I used to be able to stream to my LG TV or my Xbox, but I no longer have the option. The casting feature is either non-existent or grayed out. I've been watching motortrend content since the YouTube days and even jumped over when they went to a paid app. If this is the future of the app and how they'll handle casting to other devices, I'll be cancelling my subscription. Being stuck with watching on a phone or computer isn't what I pay for.

I love the content and the shows are great but Jesus Christ try and have it load!! It's touch and go at best. Seriously, unless you absolutely have to see Roadkill or Roadkill Garage as soon as it comes out just save your money and watch on YouTube. That's what I do. I'm basically paying $4.99 to see shows the day they come out and for old shows I go to YouTube because I know they'll play reliably. C'mon guys, figure it out!! Update: it's better now

The app isn't very intuitive nor is it stable by any means. Takes 3 tries to launch the app, then when it finally goes, the video freezes every 30 seconds. Tried to watch it on my chromecast but it keeps crashing the chromecast. Worst app I've seen in a LONG time. Update: The app has had many improvements, including fixing chromecast, but still is a little clunky for a streaming service. All together I think I would recommend it to a fan of Motor Trend.

It won't work on my Android TV, it won't let me login, and it pretty much hangs it up. So, I have to run it on my Chromebook and cast to my TV. The navigation is horrendous. I just logged on to catch up on Top Gear America. 3 episodes had posted since I had watched last. It wanted me to watch the newest. The is no easy way to just see all the episodes. I thought I had found it, but alas, no, it just had previews of all the episodes. I had to keep randomly clicking to try to find Episode 4. Why does it have to be so hard?

It really sucks to pay monthly to watch three shows, and then not be able to watch them. The glitchiness of the app is just horrendous; I used to usually be able to Chromecast an episode, and now I cannot at all. I might as well sidestep the app altogether and wait until the episodes make it to YouTube. It was a stupid idea to monetize MotorTrend videos anyways, well...unless it's your pocket that's receiving all that money. UPDATE: One year later and still no Chromecast fix. Wow.

I don't even know where to begin. First, they turned a free show on YouTube that I LOVED to watch into a paid subscription that I don't even want to bother with. Second, there are just too many ads and I can't enjoy any of the free episodes. They should a) make the videos free a couple weeks or months after it comes out and b) tone it down with the ads. 3 - 5 ads in 30 minute episodes are fine and all but 10+ just gets annoying and makes it hard to enjoy any show, ya feel?

Good content, app video play has issues. Watched bits of LeMan and some series for the week trial. Video player never opened correctly on the first try, instead it always played audio but with a frozen picture, and had to skip back to get it to work. Autoplay for series also restarted episodes multiple times instead of playing the next. If I'm paying monthly for content, I need the basics done well, which isn't the case here. Maybe I'll try it again next year.

Great content but an awful app. My Xbox is only on demand so if I want to watch a live race I can only do it on my phone. But I want to use my phone while watching a race. Constantly getting messages saying episode isn't available. My smart TV app literally has no content, it just tells you to cast from your phone (what's the point of the app?). My phone app works fine, but I can't cast to anything for some reason. Get an actual tv app made and a live app for Xbox and it would be amazing

They broke it, used to work well to watch on 70-inch TV. Now I suppose to install another program that runs nonstop ads! Either make an app for the TV, or make one for the android that goes to the TV, not make one that uses another one, so it can transfer to a 3rd device. What a disaster. EDIT loaded on an android box to watch on the big TV, that works sort of, you cannot select the episode you want to watch because the app does not have a scroll bar, episodes drop below screen.

The app doesn't work on my Sony TV with Android TV. When I launch I can only select the sign-up button. The up, down, left and right from the remote doesn't work. UPDATE: The above issue is only resolved if I disable Bluetooth on my TV. Then the system worked for 1 day! Now it hangs on a black screen. I don't have an option in the phone app to cast, so I'm stuck. Tried clearing data and cache. Love the content, but hate the app. Also, FYI the QR code for sign in has an invalid URL!

Downloaded and installed the latest version of the app to my Samsung Galaxy S8. When I open the app and play an episode of any show on my phone, it plays fine with no interruptions. However, if I try to cast the same exact same episode to my TV, it will play for approximately 3-4 minutes and then the app will stop playing and the connection to the TV drops. I can reconnect it, but the problem will repeat. This is the ONLY streaming app where I experience this problem.

I'm powering through this app because of my love for automotive enthusiasm. However, this app makes it tough. I am constantly having to close the app and restart my phone to get it to work properly. Wifi streaming is also tricky. After every episode you have to close the app, reopen it, re-select your streaming device, and then select another episode to stream. After that it's rinse and repeat. It's not bad, but it could be better

I've never paid for something for so long and on a regular basis, that was this quality of service. No matter the connection, time, place, number of tabs open, updates, anything, this app crashes, buffers every 4 seconds for 30 seconds, loses quality Down to 144p for no reason whatsoever, it's actually ridiculous. I've had, and paid for this app well over a year, for one show specifically, and I dont think I've ever got through a session of watching a couple episodes without that happening.

I absolutely love this app and all of the content is fantastic but one of the things that I use all the time is Chromecast and with this app, it just flat out does not work. When I first downloaded the app a few months ago it worked great. But now the little 'cast' icon doesn't even show up anymore. I know my connection is solid because i have no issues casting other services like youtube, etc.. kinda bums me out.

i hate that motor trend got their grubby paws on these great shows. now only 1 episode is available at a time, and only for a short time, and if you miss it you're out of luck. and they make it unwatchable with ads. like every 3 minutes of playback there are 3 consecutive 15 second ads. and the same ads. all the time. some variety would help. but then they also show more ads if you try to fast forward to where you left off earlier. horrible useless app. uninstalling and wont watch anymore.

Love the content. The app itself no longer stays workin. Everything always starts off ok and within a few minutes the audio is delayed, about ten more minutes go buy and it stops working all together. Shut it down and reopen and same thing happens. This is happens no matter the device used, TV or Phone and has be an ongoing issue for some time now. It's really frustrating.
