Just says "null". This app doesn't actually do anything anymore. Update Aug 2022: The new version of this app now works, but it's pretty awful. It is more ad based. It also doesn't let you use the location you set manually as your default location, so you must leave GPS on at all times. If it can't find the GPS signal, it won't pull from the default location you set in your GPS settings on your device. Nope, it will just assume you're in Colorado. It looks "cute" now at least. Still 1 star.

This app used to be one of the best weather apps for Android. Unfortunately, it has now become entirely unusable. On my x86 tablet, it won't detect the location or show any search results for cities. It is even worse on my phone where the app simply crashes every time I open it. Wiping the internal storage to start from scratch doesn't resolve the issue. Hopefully Microsoft can sort out the bugs soon.

Wow. I usually like Microsoft apps but this is truly terrible. The search function in the widgets doesn't work at all. In fact, there is no way to add the widget as this causes a dead end in the program setup. That's just pathetically poor from a software developement point of view. The application itself at least sort of works. But the whole thing needs a drastic overhaul and rewrite as this is just embarrassing for the company. This shouldn't be on the market in this condition.

I'm trying to make a Microsoft ecosystem on my android, and I REALLY want to like this app!! However, it's really only useful for showing the short range forecast. Much browsing on the app and it crashes and is buggy literally every single time. I have not had a fluid experience yet. Sadly I just use the widget. I'll probably have to go to another weather app if Microsoft doesn't make this a viable, always working app.

Display screen is too tall for my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) so the hours along the bottom are cut off. Plus the sunrise, sunset and moon phase aren't visible. This could be fixed by reducing the size of the abnormally large temperature value. Adding favorites does NOT work. Entering a town or zip code does nothing! How could you not have tested this? Hourly precipitation % would also be nice in addition to temperature.

If this app just had the weather app and not the Home, Bing, Tabs and Apps, this would be a decent app. Also, the widgets are too big, have an option to size the widget to 1x1 or 2x2 at least. And, there's not an option for the ongoing temp in the tab bar on top and or on the lock screen please. Otherwise, the weather is more accurate than most. Thank you for that.

Good when it works, but it only works reliably when utilizing WiFi networks, as such it is kind of useless because it can't be trusted to work when needed, which is sad because it has the potential to be one of the best weather apps available, it's simple and easy to use, and it focuses on weather, not weather news, or climate change hyperbole, or ridiculous ads, just fix it so that it works reliably when utilizing cell data.

Finding a great weather app is challenging. This one & Weatherbug are the only ones I've found that don't have invasive pop ups that make use more frustrating than useful. This MSN app seems a lot more accurate than weatherbug (which often is off by a LOT), but the info presentation of MSN is lacking. I want to see all info (temps, wind, precip) in the same graph, hourly forecast, 10 day forecast without manually picking them 1 at a time (& default feels-like =off). They reverse the priorities.

I like the desktop version of MSN Weather. But the app is unhelpful. It decided on its own that my location is in some tiny town I've never heard of and will not for any reason let me remove that town or even let me set something else as the default. Even the instructions to fix it on Microsoft's website just didn't work. It looks like it would be great if it worked, but I want a weather app to show me weather in my area, not some random tiny town.

Used to be an awesome app on Windows Phone, but on Android... HORRIBLE. Buggy, as all get out. If there are warnings, it crashes on startup. Starting on mobile data, it won't open (Wi-Fi data is fine). The interface doesn't match the Windows version anymore. I really wish this app was fixed/updated, as it's still my favorite ad free weather app.

I consult Forecast Advisor for the most accurate forecast service in my area. Microsoft has consistently scored among the highest services so I downloaded the app. The data seems accurate but the interface is in sore need of an update. Only one (large) widget and it is buggy. Often switches to Celsius on its own and doesn't do a good job of updating. The app itself is ok but only a section of the MSN Start launcher. I'm hanging on for now, hoping for an update soon...

This app used to be good. Weather was usually accurate. Unfortunately, they messed it up with a recent update. Now the information is not presented clearly and there is a stupid pop-up every time I open it, wanting location permissions. I just want it to open to the location I set and don't want another app trying to track me! It was so bad that I uninstalled.

Like many others have stated, there is no widget. Wish there was also a persistent notification so I don't have to go into the app to see a quick update. Precipitation layer map doesn't work, it either doesn't show anything or is a static image... Gives more info than the weather tab on Bing despite being the same weather source/company yet Bing has a weather widget. Hopefully they can boost it all because it's a nice app and seems to provide pretty accurate info.

Have to fight with app every time I open it for it to show any weather at any location. I've deleted this app twice and re downloaded it and it makes no difference. I'm going to delete ti for the final time and go with something else. I've had this app before on other devices and had no problems this device is supposed to be just as compatible. Won't work on my tablet either. I'm really disappointed for I've had msn weather for almost 8 years and on several different devices and now, no.

The app is nice due to the lack of ads. However, this is only when the app functions. For a while now I haven't been able to use the app. I have cleared cache, data, and reinstalled the app. All I get is "null" when I open the app. Also, it crashes when I navigate the favorites menu. I have to search each city to view the weather there. The search function also only works like half the time. The pop-up doesn't work at all, but the search from the main screen does work.

some unusual UI features. a novel approach to displaying the forecast. some symbols a bit small. don't need the news at the bottom of the home page, can't find out how to get rid of it. I like the incorporation of Met Office weather warnings with mapping. No data on the maps page. it says "now casting data not available". Is that because we are not in the USA? I like the monthly display. adverts are the normal scams, using the internet to bypass rules on accuracy and financial probity.

Update: Removed another star as I can't add widget anymore. Only option is to search, instead of using GPS location (removed?) when attempting to add widget. Normally not a problem, but search for my location returns nothing. I'm in Canada, so I tried New York as a test but that also returned nothing! So, it feels like something broke. The info you can get within the app is nice and ads are not that prevalent compared to others. The weather accuracy is not the best, but it's decent.

Weathy report is accurate most of the times. I see an issue with widget though. It doesn't give me any results while searching (it could automatically pick the location I set but it's not). So unable to use widget. An additional feature I and many might appreciate would be a live wallpaper, showing the current weather. Thanks, keep improving.

The weather seems accurate. From my experience, it's better than a lot of other weather apps I've used in the past. Im not bother about the extras with the news, etc. But honestly, why does it open a separate window on my phone every time I click a link? I have to shut down about 5 or six different windows every time I use it. It's an annoyance at most, but would give a higher rating if that wasnt't the case.

Ive had this app for awhile and used to be really happy with it. It used to show weather exactly where I was rather than Belfast, which is 12 miles away & across the Irish Sea, and because of the "E-tree" scheme, fab idea used it to plant 3 trees so far..... But recently I can't get on to any of the maps and it's stopped the every day log in feature for the E-tree It's quite frustrating now. Has the project stopped?
