Good app. Let's you search for products in specific stores and place orders for pick-up. I really would like the opportunity to review individual products. I have to shop for gluten free foods and have made some very unfortunate choices (the taste/texture was disgusting) in the past. I think an option to review a product would benefit both HEB and their customers.
Major glitches! the app doesn't let you delete checked items. stupid, since there are stables I buy all the time, I start with the same base list every trip. It also limits how you arrange the list. just let me arrange it in numeric and reverse numeric order, please. the app 's idea of "most logical" is not good! the most logical way to go depends on WHICH ENTRANCE YOU USE!
It's not Instacart. The app allows you to see what should be in-stock, which is slightly better than instacart, but their shoppers are the 1-star shoppers that got booted from every other platform. Nonsensical substitutions, rotting produce, and it's rare to get a shopper to respond when I try to decline the substitutions. Reviewing each order is very hard and reporting order issues is even harder. I'd like to support HEB, as the company does great things, but this app just isn't it.
Update: every time I go to look at my order my keyboard automatically pops up so I can add items. Can you make it stop doing that or is that something I have to fix on my end? It didn't do that before. I'll troubleshoot on my end. Great, convenient, easy to use app. Order through here all the time. No glitches. All is always good. I have been using it maybe 1 year & 6 months now.
I have been unable to use this app for almost a year. I have reached out via email and phone multiple times and have even tried creating a new account. My cases have "been escalated" and I "should hear back within 48-72 business hours" but I never get a call or email back resolving the issue. The website works after making a new account, that is, until I try to use the app for coupons, and then I am blocked out again.
I've been using this app for years now and I love it, so convenient, especially since I don't have a vehicle. I also love saving money with all the coupons that are available, sometimes I go a little crazy with them but it's kind of addictive once you start, lol 😆new note, still ❤️ this app but I'm so upset that y'all cleared my savings & started it over, that's something I was proud of & I used to show people how good the savings are. I wish you would make it show lifetime and current savings.
recently the app has been saying "something's wrong" when I try to search for anything, so I can't look up items to make my grocery list. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but now it won't even let me log in. I even reset my password. I typically love the app, it makes shopping so much easier and faster, but this is really disappointing. Will update my review whenever it's fixed.

Edited again (11/8/25): I'm now having to login several times a day, even when uninstalling and reinstalling. I understand safety, but if you added the biometrics to log back in, it would be a million times better. I HATE having to go to the website, type my email, go to the next page, then put my password everytime. Please fix.
I would love it if a feature were added. The ability to share shopping lists with someone else. It would make shopping trips with my husband much easier. If that isn't possible, I would love it if it's possible to shrink the items in a shopping list so that I can include more items in a screenshot. Currently, I'm sharing screenshots but I have to take multiple, even with the ability to expand the screenshot size with Pixel. Otherwise, this is the best dang grocery store app.
PLEASE bring back the sort by aisle option!!! It used to be great, but now it's way too sensitive - like when I go to scroll down to find something on my list, I barely go to swipe up and it deletes what ever item my finger is on, it opens up different store lists when I'm trying to put everything into a list for my main store, and I really don't like the new sort options. It was perfect when you could sort by aisle, but that option is gone now. 😞
This app makes itselfasks you to log in constantly, at the worst times. When you enter your credentials, you can't paste your password from a clipboard. Sometimes it sends you to a verification email, which you probably can't access because it's all under your wife's email. The coupons are all stored together so you can scan on barcode, but you can't take a screenshot of it for security reasons (what?), so your wife can't just send you the barcode. There's more, but I'm out of space.
A notification sent to you when an item is out of stock is needed. Not everyone dials in their order the day of; I work on the list throughout the weeks and I'll add items gradually to build up the cart, forget about it and order everything, assuming I'll have all my groceries, only to freak out when I was "missing" something, just find it taken off my list without warning. This app has undeniably helped me and my father, but we need better communication between its users and the backend.
This is a really good app. I've had a minor issue with the pharmacy part when I request a medication be refilled. If it wasn't at the store, after a few days it would appear as if I hadn't requested it at all. I have spoken to the local pharmacy and also the "app support" line and was told they might fix this in future. I think rather than dropping it, it should say "on order", "on delay", or something rather than dropping it. Just my two cents. Easy to locate items in store and take coupon pix.
I give it 3 stars for convenience but also because it's annoying that the app doesn't day what's out of stock. And by the time I get the text saying the item(s) was removed, I can't edit my order to replace the item(s) myself. It's so frustrating because I love HEB and pickup, but this has happened so many times and I don't have time to leave my groceries in the car to go pay for one or two replacement items that I didn't get.
Ok I hate the new shopping lists. Sorry friends, this ain't it, I don't like having only list two items on my screen at a time, and the aisle info is in duplicated for some reason? Make the list items small again please! Also the search UI is worse now too, I prefered the two items per row instead, more information on the screen at a time!! Less scrolling!!
So easy to use! Just so happy to have a simple, navigatable interface. Edit: Ever since the 04.24.2024 update, I have not been able to login to my app. When the app asks for permissions on my phone, I get a message saying something went wrong and to try again later. It has been a week- how much longer is later :< I have already uninstall and reinstalled the app.
I dislike the lack of ability to review a curbside order. It should not just be about reporting an item missing or damaged. Sometimes you also want to recognize exceptional service either the shopper or employee that delivers the order. In addition the coupon search is not comprehensive and it often takes several search terms to get what I want. The store is great; the app could be better.
App keeps asking you to login. After you login, it tells you to enter the pin sent to your email. After you do that and try to shop, it kicks you out. I did this a few times and even changed my password. Finally, I was in for more than 5mins and thought I could shop, only for them items to not add into the shopping cart and then was kicked out again.
I really like this app a lot. It is pretty well laid out but I have two suggestions. 1) search results should list common items first (ie: search on broccoli brings up everthing broccoli and actual produce broccoli, which is a common item, further down the list and 2) Please create a way for a user to add a comment line for each item in the shopping list. This helps me remember what I'm buying the item for (ie: potato - small for salmon recipe, or allow a user to create their own item in list.
Still love your stores but the digital coupons on the app broke with the last update and I just got an error message when I try to "view more" *update, newest version of the app seems to have fixed the issue I was having with the digital coupons through the app. Fingers crossed they continue to work and actually all go through at the register when I check out.
