Won't let me log into my account. Whether I try to re-register or reset my password, I get stuck in a loop of entering the one time code, and then not being able to log in again. Went to an Optus store and they had no idea what was wrong. When I logged into their desktop in the store, all of my information was there. It's not even just the app that isn't working, it's also my phone's browser and the desktop version as well. My phone is up to date and the app is up to date. Horrible, 0 stars.
Terrible app, can't register account correctly, support doesn't help they just troll and beat around the bush for 4 or more hours to do a simple thing. Been a customer for a very long time, was always happy in the past but now it's just issue after issue, and unprofessional support team that think its funny waste your time
This was a really good app until a few weeks ago. When I try to sign in now, to verify it's me for example, I can only enter 15 characters for the password. My password is a little more than that so now I can't verify it's me or sign in for other things.
long time Optus customer. This app is useless for online customer support. I have been trying to get a confirmation if I was to cancel my account, will I be charged with cancellation fees. I keep getting a different person and then have to go through all the messages. Can't wait to leave them.
The developer comment below is simply not true: I can still not access the app fully - they lie to you! atrocious app and online experience. no chat available on mobile web, redirects to app. app won't let me log in (have reinstalled, cleared settings, new phone, nothing works). app demands location all the time. mobile website doesnt show all details. really awful stuff from a supposedly leading telco that seems to constantly leak sensitive data about their customers.
International roaming is never immediate and there is often several hours delay before connecting. The latest technological achievement is a ham-fisted log in system which is badly designed and cumbersome. It is mixed with a simple four digit login. Welcome to Australian technology and customer service. Totally unreliable roaming service in Spain. The new roaming system is unreliable except in its billing which happens regularly and with absolute enthusiasm. The service however is terrible.
If 0 stars was an option, I would give it. The Optus app doesn't do many of the things you expect from a telco mobile app. The things it does do are complicated and slow. Slower if you're using their network.
USELESS HOPELESS DISSAPPOINTED < POOR WIFI CONNECTION< I phoned and spent hours waiting , got through , identified myself and the got cut off and so call customer service didnot bother to call back. Currently trying to find another provider . After 25 plus years of loyalty to optus, it means nothing to them. My advice is the fix problems short term , then problem reoccurrs and they just want to sign you up again with new modem and contract. NOT AGAIN. Finished with optus. not about service just
Can't open own App, how pathetically slow internet can be? I have been dealing with this slow network since a month, Reset done, switched on off done, done everything as possible. Once you move a inch and its gone. Switching to Vodafone.
A bottomless pit of incompetence. I cannot recharge my plan because of a system error, and Optus has been sending me around their multiple services without success. I have spent hours texting and chatting, and it really dawns on me that nobody knows what they're doing in this company.
Took two stars off. I was about to delete the app and change services. I thought they removed the $5 data day, but nah . they just made it harder to find. What's with companies changing things that aren't broken ? reminds me of the BOM website. Anyway, took 2 stars off for the unnecessary scare.
Worst customer service i ever experienced. They can't get things done. Change plans, phones, cancellation etcetera. Main reason is to keep you connected with the most expensive plans by throwing up barriers to frustrate you to change anything.
rubbish app the widget stops showing data then you have to open the app and sign in again and do 2FA after it works again until then next day where it's back to the same issue
my phone connection is so slow, browsing is slow lately it takes a long time to connect to things. I've tried resetting, airplane mode on and off, can't even do a speed test or check connection setting it's just not working. optus is hopeless, there is always so many area's I go around were my internet just basically dossapears. I'm in melb cbd now
fix your app. i have to constantly login nearly every time I open it, it's a complete pain to use. also the widget consistently fails to load making it useless. the apps usefulness is negated by its non functionality. this has been going on for years now. I now have a s23fe. Good app except on my new Samsung s21 ultra it (the widget) doesn't work. Doesn't update unless you open it and so has out of date info or is displaying a message saying that it's updating/refreshing. Needs a fix.
When my direct debit doesn't go through I use the app to make a manual payment and just before pressing SUBMIT, the app wipes my credit card data and I've got to start again. It still doesn't work so I need to use the chat feature and it takes hours to get a simple link to make a payment. I've given feedback about the bug and it's still not resolved.
worst customer experience I've ever dealt with, app messaging takes way to long to respond, 10min between each message is absolutely disgusting customer service and the wait time on the phone for customer service is from 45min to 2hr waiting period and you get someone that can hardly speak English and can't resolve the issue, you can't go in store because they don’t have the facilities to solve your problem. A multi-million dollar company has the worst customer in Australia and need to do better
thanks I've already called your useless experts a number of times I have finally set up the voicemail after a week of trying to get through to somebody I keep on getting stuck with an AI bot that doesn't seem to know what it's doing so it doesn't help. I can't download the app anymorekeeps asking me to set up my service over and over again. this app is useless and I've taken it up with your support and you're so called experts
This is an absolutely useless app and has never worked for me. What makes it worse - you can't talk to anyone to get the issue fixed! I'm going to ditch these guys. Optus is an option anymore.
it's rubbish just had nbn installed received a message saying that I was off line and to switch modem etc off and on again and gave me link to this site which tells me nothing about trouble shooting connection get your act together .
