This would probably be an alright app if it didn't install as a pro app only to get hit with tons of full screen timed ads. The options are a little out of date as well. Instead of linking a shortcut directly to each option under the explore tab, they only take you to a set of instructions on how to get there. And the dialer codes are put off date as well, at least for the Samsung models. I just can't recommend this right now. Just the fact alone of constant ads in an app labeled as pro is crazy
Is the name Phone Check or PhoneX ? It appears to me as PhoneX on the Playstore, but Phone Check as the name listed in my phone's apps. When I initially installed the app I thought it was pretty good, showing me lots of useful info about my phone. When I try to use the app now, I'm bombarded w annoying ads! When you make any AND every selection, I'm forced to watch an ad. Even if I'm just selecting the back arrow. There are SO MANY ads, it makes it very difficult to maneuver about w in the app.
Dark blue theme looks better instead of light blue. Also previous UI looked nicer. Like in the demo images. I hope we get back dark blue. Looked unique.
My experience has been that I found there weren't enough mobile types covered as I own an Alcatel and it wasn't covered. The alternative was you had Google with codes which I'm not sure would work as it's meant to be dialled from your phone app. So yet to see if that will work. I like the idea and it helps for shortcutting a lot of searching in detail. More codes for folk who aren't code savvy and a nice app. Hoping the update includes more models. Cheers.
Get ready to turn off this apps notifications. I was getting as high as 20 notifications a day to look into their application for different codes. If I wanted an application to bug me all day long, I will turn the notifications back on. Otherwise, the codes for Galaxy are incomplete. I can ask Google and get better codes. My final takeaway is -- don't bother getting this app. Installed v4.0.4
Hides the codes very well. I can't get past the ads. Can't pass up the opportunity to delete it. Edit to response. Thank you for your response. I may not like them but understand the need for ads, unfortunately I couldn't use the app as there did not seem to be a way of closing them. Perhaps a paid version?
Absolute garbage. Once you get passed the ads, you get a bunch of random numbers that don't work. Dev keeps saying "The ads are necessary so we can work on the app" but clearly didn't work on anything, so that's a lie. This isn't an app, since it doesn't do anything, it's just a convenient UI to look at ads.
You're not going to be finding anything really useful to be truthful. Or unlock some awesome feature the phone company or cell phone maker was holding out on. Nor will you get free access to a service you would normally have to pay for. There mostly displaying informational specs to help techs with make, model, firmware numbers that sort of thing. Kinda cool if your a geek out on things like that like myself. And if you are you would not need this app. You would already know how without ads.
Waste of time, you have to watch several videos before getting to view your information. The ads are long, and there's clickbaits all over the screen. This app doesn't contain any features that should be paid for. Poorly executed app. We know you need revenue, so an ad here and there is fine. At this rate, mate, you would become a billionaire after 3 uses.
Everything about this app sounded great, especially the codes you call to make sure your phone was working like it was supposed to. I really wanted to see if my phone had high radiation so I was really looking forward to using that on top of everything else. But my phone would give me an error message saying my phone could not call those numbers so as much as I wanted it to work it wouldn't do it so I had no choice but to uninstall it. Maybe next time...?
The android codes all function and are correct. I'm still not sure about the rest of the codes, as I only wanted to quickly see all of the android codes and to try them, which I was able to do with success This application is now very intuitively put together, it's simple, and it is also easy to use.
Just an encyclopedia of ads. Overlay everything. Do NOT download this app. BTW I have nothing against ads. I don't expect a programmer to create apps for free. A banner ad is fine. But constantly bombarded by FULL SCREEN PERSISTENT ADS. Also no option to pay to remove. I am removing this app.
I see no added value provided by this app. Tools are actually not really tools, but rather instructions to perform actions already enabled on the phone, with the exception of those that actually don't work, like enabling/adding a second user. This feature has been removed from Samsung phones. Edit after reply: never said difficult, I said useless. Accent on wrong instructions that need updates cause based on deprecated features.
It seems to be an app with potential but I'm sorry I don't respond well to ads on just about every other screen, I am not tempted to purchase the app just to find out if it is good or not. Suggestion give potential customers a trial free period before interrupting them with constant advertising, you will find them more responsive if they enjoy the functionality off it How come it doesn't even show my new S24 has 5g mobile capabilities? And that I can use extra STORAGE Internal storage I can't
I'm not a programmer or software engineer or anything like that, so I have no need for this app and do not know what it is used for. I do recognize developer settings that are left behind by the hacker sometimes, I have a registered myself for whatever service or app was advertising. I don't do that often because I don't understand a lot of what they're asking for but a lot of the times the hackers leave developer prompts on your Google accounts or apps.
Hey hey!! I don't mind what many say about in the reviews. But this app team does more than most. Unlike alot of apps, that are just spinning the wheels. This app has,can,and... could help us in everyday life. So I appreciate this app for informing some extra education and learning experiences about many phones as well as my own. Keep up the good work!! Thanks! +++ J.Lingo
no disadvantages, everything is just great in this app , full phone info , 5 stars
This is absolute garbage - a total and complete waste of time. It has one section with a list of phone codes that anyone can find and download directly for any existing phone and the rest of the app is nothing but full-screen ads and app installation suggestions - which many of the suggestions are ads as well! I was tricked into installing it and I will now be removing it once THIS message has been posted! Ugh!
I am a 42 year old man that has a 12th grade education from public school. I can understand everything in this app. The information is presented in a away anybody can learn how to use these commands ,tricks ,ETC. I wholeheartedly give this app five stars. I look forward to the new issue of this app. This app has some advertisement but nowhere near annoying. I do recommend checking the app on a desktop to make sure they have your phone in the database.
Doesn't deserve a one I couldn't answer phone calls, couldn't find messages and had no idea where some messages came from. Also no option to look up info anywhere. Support is a joke. Same answer for every question. I reported each problem and got no response at all. Also no fix at all
