this time program has worked very well so far. it is inaccurate on the St Johns River but all tied programs are inaccurate on it. whatever they're basing at home doesn't consider a river that flows from south to north and changes directions every 30 minutes. it's easy to adjust for its error and I consider it a good program. I do highly recommend it.
Good app but : where I live tides can define our day! It would be great to enter a minimum height at which I can launch the boat and a maximum height at which the causeway (voss) is exposed in order to cross. Notifications to mobile as each is reached and/or calendar entries would be great.
Handy as I live near a tidal river. Nice straightforward, easy to use app. Has moon data too.
Great access to close proximity tidal locations, sunrise and moon info
This is a really nice app - it doesn't try to do too much, and the developer hasn't overloaded it with information, it provides just enough. If you're going to the seaside with children (it's easy to set favourite places), it tells you what to expect at the beach and when are good times for crabbing in the harbour. It throws in a couple of occasionally-useful functions, such as sunrise/set times & moon phases. Adverts are minimal and not obtrusive. All in all, a useful and well-judged app.
I've tried a small number of other tide time apps over the years but My Tide Times is a winner for me. It's clear and simple, loads quickly. Adds at the bottom are not intrusive. You can easily search by map or type in a location and then save it to a list of favourites that pops up when you open the app, easy. I have used some paid for tide programmes and apps for work, this is not the same, but it is very good for a free app.
My ONLY issue with this app is that you can't mark favorites. as someone who goes rockhouding on the coast all of the time it'd he amazing if I click thru a list of favorite locations. Without that the app is a no-go for me.
An excellent App, and very helpful/useful. The only reason I've given it a 4 star rather than a 5 star rating, is because for the area where I live (Gower Peninsula, UK) 2 out of 3 of the Tide Times for the nearest beaches to us are at a different 'angle' to our own local beach, so the others' don't accurately reflect the tides at any of the popular beaches on the South Gower coastline. Hopefully the Developer might be able to add a location/beach between "Mumbles" and "Llangennith"?
This used to be a great app until the dev decided to put ad banners, running incessantly, along the bottom of the screen. I've got no issue with ads, unless they screw up the functionality of the app. Which they do in this case. All I get now is a map of the British Isles with no auto-location facility which was the real benefit of earlier versions. What I do get is one bloody ad after another. Uninstalled.
Great app, but why can I no longer see info on currents? I use this app for work and having information on currents is critical for me.
tide times easy to use, very accurate
This isn't for real fishermen, or at least where I come from. Most of the reason I use tide charts is see when it will be 2.5m so I can know when I can launch and retrieve boats. Because this app does not use the regular "wave" where you can see what the tides are doing at any point in time (instead just gives highs and lows) it makes it useless for me. Which is a real shame!
Tide times for SE Ireland are wrong by 1 hour. I believe that they were ok last summer. Looks like a time zone / DST issue.
if this could show the king tides and tropical storm/hurricane systems as well, would be beyond perfect! including moon phases is a good thing. Key West life.
stop requesting location and wasting battery, favorite shows on startup by default fixes this, no selection needs to be made, just ads and tides chosen before. thx
Haven't been using this for very long but it's ideal for my wife and I to take our dog down to the beach. The low tide means we can reach a stretch of beach that gets cut off at high tide. We can plan our walk along the stretch to fit in other activities once the restrictions are over. The text is a bit light and would benefit being a darker colour for those of us with poorer eyesight.
Excellent app. Recommend it fully. I am using it for years in monsoon as we get flooded often. However, I request if you would please state in the settings whether the time given for tides is the beginning or when the tide has reached it's peak. It is puzzling when I find a 3 hr difference between your timings and one in other apps. Thank you.
Tried this one out, but there is no graph giving an indication of the height at any particular time. I have no sense of height or distance, so the number on its own really gives me no indication on whether there is a big difference in high and low, and where it strands at any particular time I might need to visit. Uninstalled.
Hi Jake, I have been using this app for a couple of years now with no problems. I have always found it simple to use and pretty accurate. But for the last couple of days it has been giving me crazy inaccurate info which just doesn't make any sense, both for the tide times and heights. I use it for Zanzibar. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and restarted my phone, but it still shows incorrect info. Please help as I really rely on this app!
Great for knowing what times the full tides and low tides are at, at least then I know that when I'm heading out to go fishing, I can rely on an app that makes sure I'm leaving at the right time and will be on time for the high tides. I love how you can type in the area you're in and see what times the high and low tides are at. This app truly deserves the 5 stars, wish I could rate it more than 5 ☺️
