They want to switch everyone over to digital cards but this app is incredibly unreliable and buggy. I have not been able to sign in via the app for over a year, which means I am unable to use the digital card to make claims. I have been relying on my physical card. When I sign in, I input the code it sends to my phone, then when it returns to the app it says "something went wrong". This will happen in an endless loop until I give up.

Every time I go into the app, it wants me to set it up again, even if I've already done it. It is a frustrating process as I have to get the one-time code and set up a pin. Then after a few hours or even over to the next day, I have to do the set-up all over again. Bupa can you please fix this as it's caused me to lose my place in the queue on the chat and makes the process slow when I try to use the digital card. Before the last update, the app was working fine and I had no issues

Everytime I open the app, I have to sign-in with an email and password. then dry up a pin, and finger print login. this happens even logging in the next day. This has been an issue for years now, unbelievable it still hasn't been fixed. it's super painful trying to pay at reception and the delays this causes.

EDIT: 06/09/3025. the app don't even open now.... The point of setting up a pin to use later is exactly that. bupa, sort it out. you have no issues charging everyone their premiums on time. but have issues working out a simply bug when logging in? why do I need to go through the setup EVERY TIME I open the app. making it difficult to take advantage of your membership benefits, or using your digital card to claim back your health services... what am I paying you for?

This is a truly terrible app. Couldn't/wouldn't find my pharmacy but said I could submit a claim anyway, could not submit a claim anyway. Doesn't use it to own language when instructing you on what to do next. Says click the box below marked next to continue... There is no box below marked next, only one marked start... etc. Convoluted and not intuitive. impossible to navigate no matter how hard you try or how long you persist. Do better Bupa.

honestly this is the worse. super concern that we trust you with health insurance when the app can't even open without crashing. doesn't hold a log in. and they don't allow you to add your membership card to your google wallet. App is great once in (other than adding to wallet) but like can you fix log in, so I don't have to mess around trying to log in. every. single. time! come on! be better Bupa!

Awful process to set it up. You have to jump through all these hoops, with stupid password requirements, verying details multiple times, mobile AND email. And no fewer than 12 tracking beacons on the process. Lovely stuff. Then the call centre uses that awful colpilot Voip with the bad super inflection grating robovoice. I think I'll change companies.

Great app but it should just be named "Bupa". Many of us have phones that sort apps alphabetically. So we always look for it in "B" but then realise it's in "M" with a bunch of other poorly-named apps starting with "My".

Brand new Bupa customer and I can't even get into the app. Just sits on loading. Had to order a plastic card as I can't get my digital card because the app won't load. Update: it's now the 15th January 26 and I still can't use the app. I have to go online. It says my phone is compatible, so I don't understand the issue of it not loading.

Terrible login experience. Signs you out regularly. Sign ins don't work if you don't have the latest version of the app but the app does not tell you it's out of date. If you try enough times you get locked out for 10 minutes but you still can't sign in after waiting 10 mins and have to wait days to sign back in.

This app is constantly asking to be updated, yet it still struggles to do one basic job: give me access to my digital card. It's constantly signing out, having issues signing in and just overall, slow and laggy. It shouldn't be this difficult.

terrible app. always has been. never improves. How many times do I have to set a six digit code. a million times? why on earth will it not keep that code instead I have to reset it constantly. When doing a claim and trying to search for a pharmacy. There is a bug and I cannot get past one particular screen. this is driving me mental and I think, is a way for people to not claim any money back because you give up and just want to throw your phone out the window.

So now the app fully doesn't work. Forced me to update only to be stuck in a verification loop. Uninstalled in disgust. How dare you disallow me from taking a screenshot. This is my device you have no right to take control of it. Every time I go to use the app I'm locked out due to "security" updates.

since the change in the app, I have been constantly locked out of my account despite changing my password so many times. K have written all my passwords for my own record and it kept saying incorrect etc whilst I recently just changed it. super annoying to use and will constantly log you out!!

Almost impossible to make a payment in this app - so buggy, it times out, crashes etc etc every time I try to pay my fees! This is a profitable company, you can afford to upgrade your app UX etc.

Imagine needing to sign in everytime you need to use it. Now imagine that the sign in function is broken beyond belief and doesn't log you in, then after ten minutes of trying various troubleshoots results in a ten minute lock out. Now imagine that same company had a 59% increase in profit, while being unable to make a log in function that actually works. If your CybSec is as good as your AppDev we may as well just cut the middleman and sell our own data ourselves.

I've used this app regularly over the years and have found it very useful. however the last few months the app is unusable on my Galaxy S24. As soon as it opens, it crashes. Therefore, I'm forced to use a physical card or make a claim later as I can't access my digital card. I reinstalled it once and it worked once. Now I'm going to reinstall again to see if I can get it to work. So painful!

App never works. Can never sign into it. Can never make a claim when you need to. None of Bupa's technology has worked in YEARS. I don't understand how they can be so bad for so long. Your app has a 1.5 star average review. Don't you think you should do something about it.

This app is the worst. After I successfully login once, then go to open it again it automatically closes itself. I have to either reinstall or clear app data after every use to use it. Not great since I am still waiting for my physical card to come in the post. Given all the reviews stating the same thing, one would think the issue would be addressed.

I have had issues for about a year where app wont stay logged in even though I set up biometrics, etc, and need to re-register every time. Frustratingly it is now even worse as the app logs in now, but crashes before it can be used. Work around now appears to be to reinstall each time I use it! Looks like the old plastic card will need to make a comeback.
