The interface to upload insurance card pictures is simply terrible, especially if you want to upload good quality photos, already corrected and improved to appear clearly. Perhaps not necessarily related to the app itself, but recent changes to Aetna Medicare for some companies, like splitting the card into medical and prescription coverage, with each having a separate card, makes it very difficult to enter the info into the app. Other than that, it's a good, but not excellent app.
I use it very often, very helpful in seeing everything going on with your medical care and treatment. It can occasionally be difficult to navigate but not terrible. I merged Penn med with MyChart thinking they could see each other. tried making an appointment but had to fax the order because they couldn't get it from MyChart. Still convenient for everything else.

If you have many meds. and illnesses. myPennMedicine is convenient to give you exact meds lists, illnesses, meds, appointments, scheduling, and Penn dr. messaging right at your fingertips. I use it constantly and it's easy. You even get your lab results as they are posted. So if you are knowledgeable about your illnesses you can help monitor yourself. It's also on your cellphone so you can access it from anywhere in the world.
Penn Med app is pretty good, compared to others. I wish there was a way to modify the list of medications and incorrect Information
Much improved! I found the highlighted areas - in blue - very eye friendly and quite helpful. Also, the new feature(s) that allows patients' info to be consolidated from multiple providers &/or facilities for easy, accessible viewing is a godsend! So far, I am very pleased with the new app upgrades and grateful someone had the idea to initiate the changes!
This is a great way to communicate with your health team. In addition, prescription refill requests can be sent to the right party. Most of the time, You discover that you need a refill when you're taking your meds at night. Within a few minutes, You can send them message to your physician requesting refill. Bottom line-is convenient!!!!!!!!!!!
the app is very very, easy to use! It's very easy to reach out to your team members and they can respond right away which they do and I have a wonderful team from my Psychiatrists, my PCP, Sports Medicine, my foot doctor, my counselor... My whole team, literally is the best! I wouldn't have it no other way.. wouldn't ask for no other people to be in my life! Thanks My Penn Medicine
Totally horrendous. I tried to use the app to pay an outstanding bill and it notified me that it could not process parent based on info. Tried a couple more times and the same thing, so I figured I would call the next day. Despite saying it didn't process, it removed $900 from my account. Absolutely cannot believe this. Don't use this app to pay for anything, it's awful and it's a scam.
Using this app is absolutely fantastic! Everything you need to do or see is available right at your fingertips! Plus nearly all the physicians I see are available to message quickly and that is a plus when emergencies or questions needing timely responses are required.

Not able to enable Push Notifications. Every time i try it says "An error has occurred on the server. Please try again." Then if you try again it says "The server is processing your request." But it never does and it continues to say that every time you try again until you close and relaunch the app. Please fix. *Edit* Also, i don't receive text messages anymore.*Edit*
In terms of appts., messaging, tests and medical records it's OK. NOT OK 4 billing/correcting wrong info patien. No staff seems "APPROVED" to make changes to INCORRECT info or who can do it, even when the error is acknowledged. IE: notice to schedule 2 Xrays that I have been done/paid 4. App says need to sched. And billing shows outstanding copay I confirmed several times with office they should have billed 2ndary insurance. Seems once info put in if wrong can't be changed.
This app is so convenient I can see all my appointments and test results and communicate with my doctor and make appointments.

This is by far the BEST app I have ever used. It's easy to navigate and ALL of your medical information is right there. You can make appointments, text everyone that is part of your care team, get refills, schedule test... I mean everything is right there. I absolutely love this. Thank you mypennmedicine
Pretty awful app. You will need to budget ten minutes just to get into the system, be prepared for a lot of verification texts etc, with patience you will eventually get through. And then you will not find what you are looking for, so call the office.
This app is the greatest tool to use for my healthcare needs. I can easily communicate with my doctor, schedule appointments and get my refills without going into the clinic or calling on the phone. No one should be without this app. It's a fantastic application. I can even access my covid vaccination records on it.
I've raised my opinion of this app slightly.. Very slightly.. It has useful functions but it has flaws too. One flaw is it will notify you when you have a bill to pay and when I try to pay with a cc in the app, I enter the cc number, exp date, name, address, save info for later payments. and when that's all entered the only 2 buttons available are BACK and CANCEL... Seems they forgot to include a PAY button...
I think this is the best app. It keeps track of your drs appointments, it has your health history and all your medications u take all in one neat little area, after my virtual appointments with my drs and nurses and dietitians it gives me an over view of how my appointmaent went ereèand keeps track of my goals³ and paper work or questionnaires for any of my appointments it doctors come through this app for me to answer.
This med portal has been around for 10+ years, maybe 15 years. This was the 1st portal I ever used so I judge others against this one. No others even come close to the ease of use, the comprehensive information and the charting over time of labs and other testing. My records go back 20+ years. Since Main Line Health portal has a co-operation with Penn. A majority of my health care providers are available at one portal location easily switching to and from the individual portals.
