Too glitchy to be useful. Once you can finally make it passed the login (good luck!) then it becomes user friendly. However, even after logging in, if you want to use additional features, you have to log in again! Pretty pointless. I'd rather they lower our bills and/or increase account security rather then put money toward this app. This offers no benefit from just logging in via a web browser
Faulty sign-in issues. The app was up to date but I couldn't sign in. I had to go to their actual website to pay my bill. I uninstalled then reinstalled and was able to sign in. Apart from that, the app is actually very user friendly. I just hate that I have to uninstall and reinstall every 1-3 months in order for it to open...
Well this seems useless as is. I keep getting Endpoint Errors at every turn. I can't see the amount that's due, can't make a payment, can't view my bill, can't view my usage history, can't change my account info. At least I was able to log in to my account which is more than I can say for PSE's website on my PC which keeps crashing since they've made updates to their website. Guess I won't be paying my bill early.
The ability to take care of and find out about such a large variety of things is great, unfortunately, I have never been able to access them. Even with multiple attempts over a few months, trying at different times and days, it never worked. I could see most of the home screen, and make a selection from the menu, but when it went to open it would load indefinitely or give a message apologizing and explaining that it was temporarily unavailable, . If fixed, I would give it another chance though
This app is awful, at first it was great, I could pay my bill easily and with little to no problem but after a month in the app always seems to be down and I haven't been able to get it to show me my balance, outages, and after I reinstalled the app now it doesn't even let me log in. If I could zero star it I would just because there hasn't been an update to fix any issue for their customers.
Absolutely Useless. Every single time I log in, it demands an email verification. The email verification link opens the browser and confirms the account is verifying. It does not return you to the app once verified, just proceeds in the browser. The app never recognizes its been verified, the only option is to return to the home page, restarting the process. The only thing this app does is email a link to do it on your browser.
App shows power on at my house when it is not. No longer shows boundaries of where outages are, so can't tell which outage is affecting me. I live in Gig Harbor and it lists NO outages there! Fingerprint sign in never works! App used to be much better. Very frustrating when one's power is out! Considering the money PSE has, they should be able to put some money into fixing this app.
Ever since the last update, I am unable to make payments through the app. I contacted PSE via phone, and the agent told me to clear my app cache, I have done this, multiple times, to no avail. I click on make a payment, and the loading starts dor a second, then nothing changes. I have also uninstalled and re installed the app, and even tried using the website, yet I am still having the same issue. I have only been able to make a payment from the automated phone system. Please fix!
Have been trying to get the app to work for months with no luck. Reached out to PSE via their web page and their social media pages and eventually got an email back saying I should clear the data and cache, uninstall, and then re-install. I've done that at least 10 times, still no functioning app and no urgency from PSE to fix it or communicate with users about it.
App OK, Status Updates Not so Much. The app seems to work OK, although during the recent widespread outage (on 1/6/2019) the PSE servers were overwhelmed and the app just wouldn't work. What value is there in having outage reporting, updates, and maps if the app doesn't work when it's needed the most??? A major shortcoming is that PSE never updates outage status. My power has been out for 34 hrs with NO updates. App should provide estimated time to completion, or status several times per day!!!
This app could be a solid 4-star app from my 4 year+ use, but recently, it went down and stopped working and has not been up once. Since June of 2024, whenever I try to check or pay my bill, it has just been an "unexpected error check back later." There has been no update that I've seen. Maybe this is abandonware?
While the app is good for paying bills and looking at statements, I found that during an outage, which we're currently going through right now, the outage notifications in the app and via text messages are considerably different. For example, the latest status reported when I text STATUS to their number returns an estimated recovery time that is hours away from the estimated time for my address in the app. Can't PSE beer more consistent? Seems like we have power outages every year.
I tried to create an account for myself, so I can get notifications about outages, etc. Instead of creating a new account, it converted my wife's account to my email address and phone number. There doesn't seem to be any awareness that multiple people can live at the same address. Even though I clicked "create account" it didn't. So, now it's calling me by my wife's name, and she's no longer getting the emails and cannot login to the app. Why? Why‽

SUPER “AGRESSIVE LAWN CHAIR” ACTIVITY
Repeatedly fails to inform me that my auto payment failed DESPITE the app saying auto payments have been applied. The customer support regarding this issue has been less than helpful and borderline apathetic. All they say is, "I'm sorry sir, but there's nothing on our side that we can do to help you. Don't worry though, you won't be charged any late fees." Their continued lack of response informs me of their inability to troubleshoot inefficiencies regarding their program.
11/19/25 Update: Worked again for several months. Another update yesterday and now I can't log in again. This app was great, but has not worked in a month or so. All I get when trying to use the app is, "Error, we are experiencing system issues. Please try again".
Yeah, even after the update, I keep running into errors with everything. Won't display bill amount, can't see bill statement or much of anything else. I've been having to pay my bill through the website ever since the app broke :(
It's great when it works. Unfortunately as others have reported it often refuses to log you in with useless error messages (indicating issues at the back end).
This app was helpful and fantastic for quite awhile... The last two months... I get an error message EVERYTIME I try to sign in. Super frustrating! edit number two 10/02/25 I used this app after I moved, it was effective and wonderful for all of 4 months. And then the exact same thing happened. I get an error message every time I log in. I have tried downloading, deleting clearing caches, changing my password, even changing the email within my account. Will never use again!

I can pay my bill, but that's about it. Constant errors and blank screens. And it is never updated during a power outage.
