Extremely unreliable piece of software garbage (on a good day)! This app is working sometimes, making otherwise a good car a questionable choice! The latest insanity is that they have started to charge 5EUR/month if you want to control your cars air conditioning. Dear Toyota - when you charge 50000EUR for a car, I expect to be able to use all of its features without monthly payment! Because of small app profits you will loose loyal car customers, including us.

It has a weird (and very slow) way to refresh info out of all car apps I tried. For example, when you drag down on the main screen, you're only refreshing the locking status (not the fuel and battery info, as it would be normal). For that, you'll have to press the ⛽️🔋 icon... 🙄 Another thing to adjust is the charging time estimation, which is about half than what the app estimates, when charging at 220-240V. Aaaanyway, is there any chance for a dark theme option? 😇

I would like to know what is going on with the app; icons for remote services appear and disappear with each upgrade (sorry should be update); remote start occasionally works and then app 'support' ask you to leave your concerns with them while they try and fix the app then get back to you, but need chasing for updates - so the frustration continues... If they cannot get an app working it is, at times, worrying about the software that controls the car. Oops just had its second recall :-(

Remote climate control doesn't work. Different error messages every time. Support stopped replying to me after they asked for and received additional data. If app control is important to you - avoid. I have asked both the dealer and app support if there are any workarounds, starting on a scheduled timer or similar - doesn't seem so, dealer says no, app support not responding. Looking forward to yet another cold and icy morning in a brand new car that doesn't do what was advertised.

The car location does not get updated (sometimes for days!) but the most annoying fact is that something as simple as being able to change from miles to kilometres is IMPOSSIBLE in the app. They seem to REFUSE to put in a simple switch from the metric to the imperial system. Not even the authorised service people were able to help me (they have given up!). 2 ½ stars is just about fair, in my opinion.

Could be a handy app, but unfortunately it does not register all trips. The remote control functions are helpful, but commands are send very slow at times. The map function has potential if it could also be used to send navigation destinations to the car while it is off. Edit: After a few software updates almost all issues are solved. Changed rating to 4 stars...

Terrible app, very unreliable. 9 times out of 10 when I try to use it it just says 'Error occurred, try again later' - so not even any diagnostic information. At random times in the day I get messages saying the doors are unlocked but these are false alarms, delayed messages from the last time my wife or I used the car. It's a new car (2025), the technology shouldn't be so poor. I miss my old reliable Skoda. This was apparently a Toyota network-work problem. They rolled out a partial fix.

App keeps on telling me the 12v battery is empty and I might not be able to start the car. This is despite long drives that day. I have had the battery checked and it is ok (3 yrs old). So I reckon the app is faulty. Anyone else had same? Otherwise l like app, warm interior from inside house, reminders when unlocked etc.

The app is very good but there is no way to change units. I'm stuck with stupid imperial units even though I live and drive in civilized Europe where we use the metric system like the rest of the world. Please fix this if you want 5 stars. Changing the locale for the whole phone (which, even if it worked, would be an unreasonable requirement) did not fix it. If the app cannot detect the region correctly, maybe just leave the user the freedom to choose units? It's simple, guys. Fix it.

Hopeless - completely and repeatedly fails at the point where it's supposed to activate to detect the vehicles mileage. Have rebooted endlessly, asked Toyota support and no joy. So I've no idea, maybe all the connected services are brilliant but it's useless if you can't access them. On an EV its a massive limitation not being able to control the charging from an app. Feels likes Toyota is about 10 years behind the curve. It really doesn't have to be this difficult.

Using Toyota EV vehicle since past more than one year and still can't trust on the charger provided by Toyota and fixed by their partner British gas. If you plugged in car for the charging in the night then there is no guarantee that it will be charged in the morning. App is rubbish and Toyota themselves recommending to use settings in vehicle rather than app. Shame of big name Toyota who can't fix the issue with app.

would be great if you could close windows and roof too, but also set the climate from the app. It could be you have your climate set to 17 but need it on high for the frosty morning. Then you need to go out and set it or remember to leave it on high when leaving the vehicle.

7.10.2025: I am again disconnected randomly and asked to login again. Disappointing for such a simple feature. Later edit: seems that the disconnect issue was improved. Happens rarely now, more when the internet is slow. One wish is for more functionality, like being able to open and close the windows to air the car. initial review: Barely works. Disconnects and ask for user and password constantly. This is the most annoying issue. Takes 30-60 seconds to send a command to the car.

The climate control occasionally fails to contact the car, and today it didn't work at all even after umpteen attempts. Strangely, the app doesn't seem to have trouble getting the battery status from the car.

everything is wrong with the app after the update.. now i cant active the control climate from my phone or make schedule for the Climate control or departure time ... also i cant lock or Unlock the car from the app... the only time what i can do now after the update is see the status of the car nothing else

Mostly works sometimes, the remote functions doesn't always work, even in a good coverage area which is very annoying. The constant need to login with password is annoying. Even in the car I feel like I have to login everytime. Then they ask for these long passwords with symbols. Like just let me drive. The interface is also very uninspired. Tech wise Toyota is stale and old. But the quality of their cars are unmatched. To bad they hate tech

Seriously what's the point of this app? No service history, no calendar of up coming service appointments and when you try to book a service, it just takes you to a website where you have to log in again!

Booked a service on the app, twice, twice my local garage called to tell me the dates were not available. Why have it if it doesn't work. Get it joined up and stop it wasting my time and your staff at my local garage.

App never work when you most need it, put on climate schedule no Luck trying to turn the climate manually no Luck, what is the point of having this FEATURE when you have to go out and scrap the ice with your hand? My next car won't be Toyota foe sure, (BZ4X) changing my rating because ATM it's working fine but not sure is it because weather is mild or it's fixed, only way to find out when temp go down to - 1 again.

worse mistake of my life moving to electric car the app is awful. anxiety through the roof. App and all the electronics designed for one platform OS apple only. If you use Android look elsewhere. Nothing works or links
