If you're looking for a no frills metronome this is a great app. It has just the basic metronome functions but that is all you really need if you're starting out. Plus it runs on your phone so you can set it next to where you play guitar and have a metronome whenever you need it and you can plug in your headphones so you can hear it over your guitar. Also the version I got is add free.
Is a good "free" metronome. The tap feature is really the only thing that I actually use consistently. Tho I with the metronome had more voices because I don't think that paying for just four more sounds is worth it Another thing. could there be any other way to visually see the metronome? The sliding ball just isn't doing it for me For anyone reading my review, I do recommend this metronome, but don't don't git your hopes to high. It is still free and doesn't have ads, and that's all I need
This is a good metronome for my nonmusical needs. Like others I use this for breathing exercises. Set on 11bpm, I get two unique sounds spaced 5.5 seconds apart. After reading someone else's review I also use it as a reminder to scan my mirrors while driving. Brilliant, a good habit is developing. I wish there were a volume control. I sometimes use the app while listening to podcasts and being able to control the volume would be great. I didn't need the extra sounds, bought them anyway.
I love this app. Your think it'd be easy to find a good metronome app, right? But most free ones have ads or have a bunch of extra stuff you don't need. This app has all the metronome functionality you could want, all ad free, minimalist and takes up almost no space. For any musician who wants a metronome and just a metronome, download this!
A great app with one fixable problem that is discussed incorrectly in some reviews. There is no delay between tapping "Start" and hearing it start. The first sound is weirdly quiet, so it sounds as though it is starting on the first subdivision rather than the down beat, which is confusing. The interface is simplified. Instead of selecting a time signature, you select the number of beats per bar and the number of subdivisions, much easier than selecting from a list of many options.
This app is a metronome. It always turns on. It has never crashed for me. The visual and auditory cues are clear and pleasant. It can be adjusted to all of the rhythms I've ever wanted to play without annoying ads. As obvious as "Beef - it's what's for dinner!", I say, "Metronomes - they're what's for keepin' time while you develop your technical skills!" (And you can kind of hear Aaron Copeland play Bonaparte's retreat in the background while you say it.)
NO ADS!! It's the simplest metronome app on the play store, which is what I was looking for. It goes all the way down to 1bpm, which is great for if you want to have the metronome click once every 8 measures so you can practice keeping a steady tempo on your own. It goes up to 300bpm, which is faster than I will ever need it to go. Furthermore you can choose how many beats per bar and how many subdivisions of the beat you want (from 1 to 16 for either). Great app!
I like this metronome overall. There is one thing that bothers me: lack of certain clicking sounds even after I paid for the app. Can you add sound patterns such as "bon cha cha" for waltz? This will clearly distinguish the accented first sound from the rest. For the cowbell and wood block patterns, the first sound is fainter than the rest. Thanks.
This app is exactly what I needed: a simple metronome doing exactly what a metronome is supposed to do. I find it easier to use than the physical metronome I've had since I started playing the piano at 8 years old (though that still sits on my piano!). This one sounda pretty much the same as my physical one and I can, obviously, put on my earbuds so I don't drive the house crazy. Great job at creating this app! I'd love to support what you're doing, please let me know how!
I've been using this app for years. It's my steady companion. Being able to increase the note count within the tempo is what's valuable. I'd love to see a couple new features added though. Like a timer and also a way to create phrases by adding measures with different time signatures for the metronome to follow. Sincerely, your Drumline tech. 🥁
This app integrates well with fitness. I use it as a timer for my stretches and other exercises. I can hold stretches, with my eyes closed, and just count off the beats. It's great for breathing exercises, too! Keep time without staring at the timer, and focus more on your movements.
Love this app, use it every day a few hours a day for drumming practice. So simple and so pleasant to use. A request for an option to reverse the high and low sounds, make the low sound the main beat and the high sounds the subdivisions, also perhaps another set of sounds, maybe a low clave, agogo bells, some more wood block sounds, maybe shaker sounds. All best. Sat Naam.
This is the most useful metronome I've found, elegant, effective, and it has no ads. Excellent visual indication of the beat. The only drawback (developer - please take note!) is that at least one of the sounds needs to be louder and more penetrating. I paid for the additional sounds in the hope that one would be audible above my own voice (I'm a classical singer), but they're quieter than the free woodblock sound.
Have a look at the permissions that the other metronome apps are looking for. Then have a look at the permissions this app is looking for. That's right! None! There other apps want to own your phone. That aside this is a great app you can buy some extra sounds it you want, I did to support the developer, but no ads regardless. Really simple and easy to use. Really nice app 😄
Does pretty much exactly what you'd expect! The only slight disappointment is that having paid for the additional metronome soundss, only two of the four actuallybproduce sound. OK, the money involved was not much, but it would be nice if they all worked :( ...But aside from that, it's fine!
Streamlined but Slow. Full marks for creating a compact, visually-appealing app. -- bonus points for no ads and no nag screens. It's very easy to change beats per measure and beats per minute, and the included wood block tone is easy on the ears (additional tones available in-app). Where it loses me is on the lag time between when you hit play and when you hear the first beat. It is a substantial delay that makes beatmapping recorded music for my band quite difficult. No cigar here.
I love it. The best thing about it is that it stays on if you go to another window. That is, you can sing something to the metronome while reading the lyrics on some website. I tend to sing with the up beat on the forth beat of the bar rather than the first.
GREAT APP! Uncomplicated, uncluttered, easy UI. Works every time; doesn't lose the beat to buffer it's memory. 👍👍 My only wish is that the buttons were bigger (esp. the tempo slider), so I don't have to pick up the phone each time I want to adjust the tempo a little on the fly while practicing and arranging - I've deleted all other goofy, feature-cluttered, menu-heavy, gimmicky music apps from my phone. Natural Metronome does only one job, and that's all I need it to do. (on a Samsung A54 G5)
Just the right amount of app. It's a metronome, it's easy to use, and it has a couple of extra features like tap tempo but nothing useless or distracting. Best of all, no ads! I paid the 99p for the extra sounds but the app is fully functional without that, which is a rare thing these days.
I never thought I would love a metronome. This app has been nothing but a pleasure to use. It has facilitated countless hours of practice with no invasive ads or pop ups. If you are debating between metronome apps, this is the one. There are a variety of options for how to parse the beats in a measure in order to feel where the micro an macro beats are in each measure.
