I found the app page while trying to figure out access the NYDN subscription.. on my Windows PC. The top review by Staley states that customer service told him that the app doesn't work with Android anymore, and that's why it keeps asking to subscribe even though they already had. This is exactly what's happening on Windows 10 in chrome and Firefox. NYDailyNews needs to fix it's entire account system, don't give them money until then. Update in February. This problem still persists. Now try to cancel.. their website won't let you. I haven't had time but got a wakeup call with a $15 sub charge. Okay thats on me. Site says 'status of your subscription is: Active'. Billing says "You are enrolled in EZ Pay, autopayments". Only option says 'Update Payment Profile'. When I click: 'Not Eligible for EZPay. Only Active subscriptions can sign up for EZpay." Their customer service system is a joke, it starts voice activated but doesn't recognize my voice ever, you have to wait for it to give up and then give you number options. Just to tell you after 20 minutes of this that they are closed. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO DIGITAL NY DAILY NEWS.

Just got off the phone with customer service because app kept asking me to subscribe even though I am already a subscriber. I was told that the app no longer works with Android phones and there is no timetable for fixing it. No apology provided by customer service agent. He just acted like it was no big deal that it didn't work.

It keeps crashing. Whatever the "update" was that they did, absolutely ruined it. Have deleted it. Now, the app has stopped displaying photos with the stories. Shameful.

a great newspaper I enjoy reading.

If, for example, you want to terminate your subscription you call a number -- and discover, much to your horror, that there is only ONE NUMBER given to address every conceivable problem you wish to address. And then you discover, the exceedingly politeful young lady or gentleman with the stitled tongue is speaking to you from the Philippines. Not what I call an ideal circumstance.

I can't view any articles in this latest version. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've also cleared the cache, and I can't see any articles. I have a Galaxy tab S10+ tablet. For now, I use the app on my S25+ phone.

Deleting app. Can't read even a few articles for free. You must subscribe. It's not worth paying for this very slanted newspaper. No wonder readership had declined from millions in its hayday to a trickle. Good luck....

This had to be the worst app ever. Paid for a subscription, and as soon as I want to read an article, I'm asked to pay more money.. Definitely uninstalling..

This is a really good app, no issues. My whole life, my Mom brought the DNSP every day. I have my alerts on & I'm enjoy being in the know. My only thing is, can you update the app to allow read aloud, like websites? Allow the story to be read to me. Thank you in advance 👍🏽

It asks for your custom alert preferences, but then all you get is the latest crime story. It's more of a police scanner than a news app.

It worked great, until it didn't? Something happened in the last couple of days and now I only get Connecticut news on the app. It's somehow pulling from the Hartford Courant and other CT sources. Nowhere to change anything, so not sure what to do with it now!

The latest update makes the e newspaper edition almost unusable on a tablet. Can't be read in landscape and it's barely usable on portrait mode.

I don't have a problem with the paper itself I just can't download it so when I'm on the train trying to read the paper I can't even read the thing and that's the only reason why I bought it that signs me up for a recurring subscription and doesn't notify me before taking the money I feel like that's stealing

Don't fix it. Why mess with a perfectly good app? It crashes seconds after opening. You guys have forced me to uninstall until this monstrosity is fixed and install the New York Post. AND I HATE THE NEW YORK POST!!!

Paid for digital subscription, logged into app, doesn't recognize subscription, says reached limit, subscribe, which, again, I did, paid for.

No major issues with the current version of the app. It needs to be updated to include the new "Evening Edition" though.

Still love reading the NY DN. Easy access on my phone. Clear and smooth transition. Very well done via my phone. Ads are everywhere tho. Annoying.

I clicked on the first article and it said I've reached my limit I have to pay. Uninstalled it 2 seconds later!
