NGL: ask me anything

I definitely had the same problem everybody else had I've had this app for a while it seemed really fun I decided to bite the bullet and pay the small amount to get the subscription. And lo and behold not only does the app not tell you who sent the messages which I think is direct false advertising, If your app only does two or three things, and then the feature that is advertised doesn't work is a scam and there's no way to fix it. Scamming everybody out of this little subscription cost 0/10

It was cool the first day. Until I realized that I got asked the exact messages as my friends who also used it. Then I paid $10 a week to see "who sent" the message only to find out they only give you the location, type of phone, and internet. Here's the worst part. I noticed 90% of the questions coming from one person with MY location and internet, but the app says it was an iPhone to disguise it, like I wouldn't figure it out 🙄 Dumb. And a waste of money. Definitely don't do that.

I like the concept but the app isn't working right. The link never matches the theme. Example: the confessions link completely disappeared. And the describe me in 3 words has the ship me link. So frustrating. I have already deleted the app and reinstalled it but to no avail. If you fix this problem I will stay. Otherwise there is no point. The messages come in and when you tap on it to read it there's nothing there. The notification is faster than the message it's. It's delayed and won't show 👎

The questions the app sends should be disabled by default because they're REALLY creepy and unsettling. Save to camera roll doesn't seem to work on Android whatsoever, also it's very annoying getting a notification that says "new messages" when I don't have any. I get like one of these a day and I'm fairly sure it's just to bait you into opening the app.

I try and answer questions on X (Twitter) and it won't save the question to my pictures gallery. Also when I click share I get an error message saying something like "it's not your fault, we're working on it." I sent an email to support and just got a message saying support is busy and gave me a link that is no help. I brought the rating from a 2 to a 1 star because they haven't contacted me and don't seem to care about customer service.

I had terrible experience with this app. I paid the subscription to see who sent the messages but it doesn't give you anything useful. All I could do was blocked the person. Something safely is neglected. There's something that needs to be done with safety and identity. Especially being harassed and bullied. I deleted the subscription and would like my money back. What a rip off.

I’m giving 3 stars because having to pay just to see a name feels restrictive and leads to a lot of overthinking for those who can't afford it. The Fix: For your next update, please consider a "Surprise Reveal" event. Maybe once a month or during the holiday season (December), give us one day where we can see the sender for free. It would be a great way to reward loyal users and stop the constant guessing games without makmaking us pay every single time.

The app could have been good, but most of the messages being sent are AI-generated. I even subscribed for one week, but I wasn’t able to use the subscription at all. It said that I would be able to see the sender’s hints, but I didn’t get to use that feature either. I am really dissatisfied and I don’t recommend this app.

I am writing to formally report an ongoing issue I have been experiencing while attempting to add my bank card in order to access the full features and complete experience on the platform. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts, I have been unable to successfully link my card. Each time I carefully enter my card details — including the card number, expiration date, CVV, cardholder name, and billing address — the system either declines the card or displays an error message. No, not all messages from the NGL anonymous app are real (i.e., sent by actual other users). Many are fake/bot-generated by the app itself.NGL (Not Gonna Lie) lets people share a link (usually on Instagram Stories or bio) so followers can send anonymous messages. In theory, real messages come only from people who actually click that link and type something. However, the app has a well-documented history of automatically sending fake, computer-generated messages to trick users.

it was working perfectly b4, all of a sudden, it stop showing new messages. it will show the notifications that a new message just dropped but when I opened the app, it will not show the new content. I think I'll have to delete the app until correction are made

I downloaded this app to receive anonymous messages through my Instagram story. However, I noticed something concerning. I uploaded my NGL link and my Instagram story had 0 views, yet the app showed that I received 3 new messages. This makes it feel like the app may be generating automated or fake messages.If the messages are system-generated for engagement purposes, the app should clearly inform users about it. Transparency is important, especially for younger users who may feel confused.

A very good App yeah.,But why receiving false messages that keep coming even when have not posted anything on my status? This makes it fake, yes am saying its useless. secondly make it have options for replies. Lastly,make it easier to know the senders, we can't be subscribing to something I can't read interms of names. you can do better

the app is fun and good but after a few times of using it the loading circle just spins and the app doesn't open, then when I delete and re-download it, it takes AGES to load and you can even create your new account or log back in. and they should add an option to send messages to other people through the app. 4 stars

This thing is being disgusting, stop bots messages, I want real people messages, it’s highly dangerous, if in an app like thissssssss, people gets the wrong messages or etc, that isn't meant for them or someone else, it must have some options in the app.. To know who is sending messages without paying money, then an option to "approve bot to send messages incase if you feel bad or turn it off" then creating a new account, driving them differently without deleting the other one... and many moree.

This has been a pretty fun and pretty cool app for a short time, but it has run it's course for me, and there is one gripe I have... The $5.99 a week subscription, completely ridiculous. Okay $5.99 a month would be fine, but a week?... give me a break, complete BS. Time to uninstall this.

Can you help us stop that loading of a thing cos it doesn't make sense, I had to delete and install the app again and my old account is gone. Even the one am stuck in Upload Camera for more than an hour which isn't normal.

This app is total rubbish. Even after receiving notification of new messages, I didn't see the new message. I even wasted my money on a subscription that is a scam. kindly work on it so as not to lose your customers. What is it with the ngl team sending me messages on the anonymous? It's uncalled for now. Work on those things mentioned.Thanks.

You’ve had the same issue for over a year and still no fix? That’s honestly disappointing. The app works fine at first, then suddenly after a day or two it just refuses to open—or when it does, it’s only the inbox that keeps loading nonstop. Like, bruh. how does this keep happening? And mind you, i have a good internet connection.

It's been good. If there can be a feature for you to reply messages in the app, it will be okay. it seems every reply would have to be posted back to whatsapp or instagram. it's not ideal. There can be a feature where you would have to reply the person and all in an anonymous way. Pro version is a scam. I intentionally sent a message with my other phone and it gave me wrong location and IP. If improvements can be made, the app will be fun
