I've been using this App for just over three weeks and it's absolutely brilliant at monitoring and recording my calorie intake. There's a massive amount of advice and motivational information in the App and it also shows your progress week by week in numerical format, I would prefer if this information were to be in graphical format. Additionally there is a food database incorporated in the App but it's quite limited compared with the food database that's in the Nutracheck App.
over complicated input of food, even choosing an egg was confusing due to the selection wording. you also can only enter whole amounts, so I had an omelette made with 3 eggs, could not select this because there was a 2 egg omelette option but I could not select 1.5 portions, I then tried to input it as individual ingredients but this was over complicated as mentioned above. I gave up the app after trying to enter my first meal.
Helpful for tracking but needs several tweaks in my opinion. I like that you can favourite things if I want to have eggs, for example, as a favourite for breakfast and dinner, I have to save it twice. Also, you can't tweak the amounts for favourites, so if I had 30g pasta one day & 40g the next, I'd have to go and find the calories again and change them. Also, it would be good if you could change the grams of food instead choosing from the list, because I usually end up having to input manually
This is hard work! I was hoping to use this in conjunction with another app I use, but it takes forever to input a meal. e.g. cheddar. small chunk, medium, matchbox size? just say 30g. or better, give us the option to input the weight manually. Pepperoni isn't even recognised. Milk only gives you certain measurements, so it's not accurate. Admittedly, my other app i pay for, not much, though, and I just scan every product, tick/type exaxt measurement, and it's done. This needs work.
Great app to keep it tracked, but there are some bugs. On the diary, it reads STA instead of SUN. Also on Sundays, the meals you enter from the home screen don't show up nor update in the diary as there is no Sunday, but STA. It only allows entering data for Sundays via the diary. Also, the ability to backup data to the cloud would be good to have.
Update. I sent a message the email address provided and this seems to work but my progress was just set back to week 9 and now the same thing is happening; I have to delete all the previous days input. Is it just supposed to work for a set period? it's a shame because weight loss journeys usually take a,lot longer than 3 months. Just stopped working. The calorie input part usually resets every day but yesterday's calories are still there and I can't reset it.
FINALLY a weight loss app that doesn't bombard me with adverts and demand I pay an extortionate amount for a job that could easily be replaced by a calculator and calendar. Will never use an alternative app again. It is rudimentary with limited features somewhat but if all you need is calorie tracking and weight management, this is perfect.
It's been easy to use after a couple of days finding my way round. Several months on, I have had a couple of blips with my weight, I don't think that is anything to do with the app! It is a good monitor and keeps easy records of my eating habits. One tip, fill it in daily, don't leave it a couple of days as you soon forget what you have eaten, especially "snacks." 4/2/26 It continues to be easy to be easy to navigate, I just wish you could use & in the text.
I like that you can track meals without having to calorie count -you can just log portions (you can calorie count if you want, but it makes me obsessive). You can't set how many meals a day you have and I don't seem to be able to put my interim goal in, so I've knocked a star off. In conjunction with other apps, it's helping me lose weight.
This app is easy to use. There are encouragin̈g and interesting articles to read. It is easy to make a record what you eat. Calories can be found for basic foods. Many foods calories are on the packaging and once recorded the app stores them so that when used subsequently they can easily found saved on the app. There is a lot of encouragement to move more and exercise.
effective, free, easy to use if you follow the tutorials by the letter, which have very useful tips. no sweet edible rewards, like other paid apps: better for me. after you finish the cycle, you can continue to use it. you can also restart the programme without losing your previous data, so you can track your progress with time. It works.
Very easy to use app. I enjoy it because I can log and monitor everything in one place. Adding meals and tracking calories is simple and easy to compile a favourites list. I like that I can add activity and exercise manually without needing a tracker. Keeping track of drinks is quick and easy. The app has loads of advice and motivators to keep me on track. Best one I've come across yet.
As it is just a calorie counter you still need to be aware of the carbs, fat etc.... This has made me aware and changed my eating habits alot. The additional information and tips alongside is great. I have used this for 2 weeks and lost 2.3kg. You need to remember it is not a diet and not to cut out things you enjoy, it gives you a perspective of how much to eat of things. Enjoy what you like as this is a lifestyle change not just something to do for 12 weeks and revert back.
I started using this app 3 weeks ago. I have tried loosing weight so many times and lost and then put it back on again. I am now in the next two weeks going to be 74. and yes I am overweight.this app makes you look at what you eat everyday. service targets, which you don't always make . But when you fail you make it up the next day. I am loosing 1 to 3 kg per week. which i think is an achievement give it a try you just might find it helpful. Christopher Gray
Really glad I got the app. It certainly keeps me focused on what I'm eating and drinking. I like the idea that I'm able to note what I eat everyday in a very easy accessible manner I.e. what I have for breakfast, lunch etc. Brilliant way to count calories and keep them in check. Also adds a fun element to the whole process.
I attempted to lose weight prior to Christmas, but wasn't very successful. Post Christmas, I had to change something. I already had a good grounding of healthy foods, but my portion sizes and snacking had gotten quite wayward. This app is great. I use it mostly for accountability and to see what habits I could do with changing. Putting all food in to a tracker makes me think more about portion sizes and how many snacks I'm having.
Great app. Records activity and food diary with calorie finder. Has really helped me. One minor critiscism - you can set favourites for food etc. but these have to be set individually for a specific meal time, not as a general list that shows for each meal - so if you have a favourite for lunch, then have same for dinner you have to enter it again in the dinner section as a favourite as well.
Great application for counting calories, especially the integrated calorie look-up. Works while offline (excluding calorie look-up). When online, it does appear to connect to a server and it's not clear what it is logging when doing that. So a little more clarity around that would be informative. Improvement suggestions: 1) Provide CSV data export for recorded calories, weight and waist measurements. 2) Allow the weigh-in day to be changed without resetting.
works well with my analytical brain. It's NHS so they're not trying to sell me anything, they have well researched and well informed articles with good advice and an easy system for logging calories and looking food up. I'm very pleased that there is no AI integration as well, I was worried that that would be forced on me.
I've used all the calorie counting apps. This one is my favourite now and it's free. So simple and easy to use. You don't have to look up food, simply type in what you have eaten and add the calories. There is a limited food database and the things you eat often can be added to favourites. My rule which helps is add the food before you eat it, that much easier than trying to remember what you have eaten later in the day.
