I was really enjoying this game for its story, art, and fun characters. I got pretty far in and was in the top 5% for my class in level and CP. Unfortunately, I went to log in today and the queue was over 4,000 "players" long. I recently learned that these aren't real players, but actually crypto-bots causing wait times. I will be uninstalling the game until the company gets rid of the bots because it is essentially unplayable. Glad I didn't spend any real money on it.
Great and fun game, you know, when you can actually log in. Day 1 I was able to log in fine, 3 weeks later the queues have massively spiked, and I've been sitting in over an hour for a 3k queue (never been this high). I can only expect it'll get higher and I've seen numerous complaints from other people and nothing addressed from the publisher. Not sure if it's worth to keep playing if most of my time will be spent waiting in a queue.
The game is fun and I love the art style. However, the queue times are horrible due to a botting issue (probably due to the fact that the game has a built in crypto currency/NFT) and the only solution given was a in-game ticket that would let you skip queue times (which costs real $$). The game is also very p2w, relying on gacha systems which are hard to use if you're f2p. Overall it's a cute and fun game if you're willing to sit in queue for over a hour.
I really REALLY wanted to like this game. It's got the Studio Ghibli aesthetics - some of the best indicators of quality storytelling and a fun time for all ages (and one of the best date movie experiences). But I can't. The auto Continuous Quest Progress means you're not playing a game, you're watching a game being played for you. And the constant Conditional Perks notice that never goes away but is asking for $225!!!!! for these "perks" screams this is just another pretty cash grab. 😢 shame
I was really looking forward to this game. I even had it pre-downloaded. I was disappointed to see the PC version is in beta. The whole auto-battle was very disappointing and I never found a way to fully turn it off. Maybe that's because I was on PC, I don't know. I liked the quests and art style which the only reason I'm willing to give it 2 stars. There's also way too many micro-transactions and the "shop" notification didn't go away for me after playing after a couple hours.
I tried really hard to love this game. I wanted to so bad. I have a high level and high CP character that I've been working on since release. The game has become a money grab. There are so few servers that there is a queue to get in, which would be fine. Only instead of fixing it they want you to buy a season pass that allows you to "skip the queue." Congrats you have disgraced Hayao Miyazaki.
I really loved this game the design, fantasy, graphics, pets etc basically everything love the Auto Play best thing ever if you are a parent and can't play all day like me. I'm very sad that if you wanna progress quick you need to spend a lot of money #pay2play. Too many pop-ups, you guys had the chance to make an awesome game but went for a different approach.
The game has a fun story that I would have liked to discover further. However, the game is easy, and too easy at that — it plays itself, not just in combat but in navigation as well. It's lack of stimulation kills its momentum, and I do not see this game going very far. Still, what I have seen in the game makes me interested in the mainline games, so that's something.
Territe energy is TERRIBLE! Drop rate is like 4-8 an hour of nonstop farming. Territe is used to upgrade pretty much EVERYTHING, and the game requires an ABSURD amount of territe for upgrades. I love the idea of what this game could be. I've been in the top 50 players for my class since I started. I play a lot, and while there's plenty of grinding generally territe mathematically makes no sense. It ruins progression, and I can't in good conscience recommend this game.
Gen shin impact is better. I pre-registered this game after seeing an ad while i was playing seven deadly sins. I stayed awake waiting for this game to finally launch. "Edit, I dropped a star rating due to the game raking over the fights even tho I turned all of the auto play options off. It takes the fun out of playing when the game does everything. No skill required to watch a game play itself. autobattle off should mean auto battle is OFF. I want to play not watch the game play.
So uh- what happened? I haven't been able to log into the game for days due to their servers being overloaded, which hadn't been the case in the weeks prior. The game is 90% notifications. The 'gameplay' is just yoy watching your PC go through the game on its own, while you have to sort through menus and are getting notifications the entire time. It takes at least an hour to complete the daily notifications and tasks, which means it takes an hour to actually play the game. Not ideal.
A lot of different issues going on. Can't find the servers after I made character. Then if the servers are up, it won't let me sign in. If I do sign in, I have to wait two to five minutes. Made two characters already. I'll be disappointed/won't come back for a long time if I have to make a third. It's just sad because I think it would be a fun game if someone could access it properly.
Game wouldn't stop playing itself! I couldn't even go into settings to TRY disabling it without it autoplaying. Fights play too, cut scenes interrupt you if you're trying to browse settings. Game would have a lot of promise if I could actually play it instead of the computer. Unfortunately, I couldn't get far enough to judge the actual game because of the stupid autoplay, which is disappointing as I waited to play this game for months. Will try game again and adjust my rating if fixed.
Same as other people reviewing this game. Was a fun, beautiful game at first for a couple weeks. But then the past few days a queue has appeared everytime I tried to log in. And when it takes about 5min to move up 100 spots in a 500-1500 queue. It's not really worth it. I'm wanting to play a game, not wait in line. Edit: Tentatively going to increase my rating as I haven't had to deal with any queue issues in nearly two weeks.
The only thing you get more of the deeper you get in to this game is limitation. Territe is an absolute bottleneck for crafting gears. Drop rate is low for decent gears. Gold drop amount is very low. Everything is very limited and makes you want to buy. And the list goes on. At the end of the day, it's just another money grabbing gatcha game where only whales will win.
Love the graphics and all the features. But it's hard to play when I have to wait in a queue of over 1400(!!) people in order to play. I can't even do anything else with my phone for the duration or I would be pushed to the end of the line again. Hopefully can be fixed soon, a very nice game to play for casual purpose for me when I'm able to get in.
I hate the autoplay mode. I want to do the fighting and I want to move my character myself, but I can't because the game does it for me. It would be so much better if I could turn it off in settings. I uninstalled the game because there is no point in playing until I can manually fight and move. Edit: Also I want to be able to choose male and female versions of each character, more clothing options, more customization. It's fine if y'all can't.
Beautiful and fun, but full of issues as well. Too much automation. Grinding easy mobs on auto is nice, but instead of using the game to pass time you end up needing something to pass time while this game plays itself. Genderlocked classes. I get each class is meant to be a character, but they could be using a different gender avatar. Plus both girls are basically support roles... Why?! PLANNED TO ADD NFTs IN THE FUTURE. No. Just don't if you want to keep your players. NFTs are unethical.
Super disappointed. The game almost entirely plays itself unless you turn auto off. What's the point, it's not a "feature" to help ease grinds when the devs are the ones who made the grinds necessary in the first place. Just bad game design, I'd rather have a few dozen hours of engaging content than to just watch my character run around and beat everything on its own. And the game looks so great and cute and sounds amazing too. Such a shame. All of my hype died.
Queuing times are ridiculous. 3-4 hours just to get in, then being disconnected from the server after 30 minutes of gameplay and brought back to the *same* insane lines to get back in. I don't see sustainability in this game either. No big hooks to get people to stay long term. Feels like a 'finish the main storyline then bounce' kind of game.
