1.) I used to play this years ago and it was much better back then. Lost all my cars including the Bugatti Chiron and can't even get it again because there's only two S1 cars in the shop. 💔 2.) There's also no longer TapJoy offers, so earning coins takes forever. 3.) Lastly there's a glitch that occurs when trying to participate in the Drag & Drift season "Technical error on client, please try again"
Revision !!!Don't spend real money on this game!!! I have played a lot of racing games, and while this one is easy to use, it is still very challenging. I really like that you can always race one way or the other, no fuel to spend and wait to replenish. I would like better customization options, bit is already hard enough on small screens anyways.
A decent game, but it likes to match you against unbeatable opponents later on in the game. It goes from being a fun game, to a horrible grind fest very quickly. Wish they would balance multiplayer out a lot better, but they won't. Tried it again, and it's the same garbage gameplay. You get to a point where everyone else online is faster than you no matter how you tune, what upgrades you have, or anything else. kinda fun, but still a cash grab pay to win at the end of the day.
I love that theres no gas limit, so you can race as much as you'd like. Everything is split into classes, the upgrade system is like loot cards that you equip to your ride, and it is luck based. Career is split into classes like everything else in the game. Great, great time killer, and car customization is expensive yet only limited to your creative ability. If you customize, you'll figure it out easily enough.
I've had some gripes with past updates (especially upgrade kits). They just dont seem all that necessary, and I liked it a lot more in 2016 when you just bought upgrades with money, but I can see how those can make more revenue for the game through in-app purchases. It's kinda p2w but not to the point that its unforgivable. Theres still a lot of balance with the races. The game may have drawbacks, but it's still probably the highest quality drag racing game you'll find on the app store.
5th review. Decided to try the game again. Still the same problem! FIX MULTI-PLAYER MODE!!! Game matches you with higher ranked cars that you can't beat! Love the game but really come on!! Devs said there's nothing wrong with the system. But when you have a B class car and steadily get matched with C1 and even S class cars that just leave you in the dust 5 out of 5 races. I'd say something isn't right. Good luck gamers you'll need it in multiplayer!
This game stands out from many of the similar drag racing titles. Classic, imports, and exotics can be found. As well as a wide variety of upgrades, and cosmetic appearances. Although my biggest problem with the game is the bugs. Every race I've done so far, I've basically lost, not because of my skill, but because of the fact once you shift into 2nd gear, your red light is on telling you you're overshifting. Even if you're on the green, I'm still misshifting, and it's that way for every gear. Edit: Game plays great now!
Fun game to play to kill time, graphics are nice and the drag and drift mode is a nice idea if you want to go more then a straight line. However problem starts when you have to put in money into the game to progress further, its nice in the beginning, you get a foot in what the game is like but once you progress further in and get hooked on the experience, it drags you in further to the point where your really spending from little to alot of real money to purchase any currency items in game.
I like the game but it's ridiculous that the best cars from each tier are always "sold out." Also, the extra racing (drift/drag) you can do outside of career mode is always locked to only higher level cars. You literally cannot progress through the game normally. You have to spend money if you want to not keep doing the same races over and over.
Updated- Game is beautifully designed. I do miss the old drag racing game. They give you chump change in the races until you get to the "boss." The winnings is exactly the amount to get the worst car of the next tier. There's no way to consistently grind money. "Watching videos isnt always an option, cant do rumble races, and selling parts gives me 1-2 gold coins. T2 cars are like 40-90k dollars." So the best way to get money is to play other other games. That's dumb.
Decent graphics. Speedy servers for 'live' multi-player races. A ton of different challenges with two styles of races, drag and drift, with a wide variety of cars. One part i dont like in the career section is that in order to continue to the next stage, you gotta buy a certain class of car, cars that i dont like or want. Its good that its not too difficult to earn the money in game and doesnt take too much time, unless you want a really expensive car. It can get pretty technical with the tuning
Nice to play without paying attention to fuel or energy. Able to race as much as you want without pauses. Graphics are quite good. Cars are accurately designed. Money can be slow to come by, and higher level car upgrades are rare, but it keeps me racing to see if something will drop. Biggest issue for me is a notable lag in the accelerator control. Used multiple devices and have difficulty getting perfect starts off the line. Don't have this issue with other drag racing games.
Graphics are nice. 2/5 stars because... 1. It has network connection issues pretty regularly which is something nobody really enjoys so it's hard to stay committed to it at times. 2. Could be more as far as customization goes. 3. Some of the race categories don't show the length of the race until you start the race. 4. Being able to choose which tuning preset you want without having to go all the way back to garage would be nice. 5. Store Prices and Car Upgrades are ridiculous.
Overall the game is really fun and there are tons of cars to choose from to build. The drift part of the game is really fun also. 3 stars because it takes FOREVER to get the things needed to upgrade your cars. Once you get to s-class in some cases it costs 500k and 250 kits to put on 1 upgrade. Considering you only get at the most a few kits per race. You're looking at atleast several days or weeks for ONE upgrade. What the dev says is true. Even with all that it still takes FOREVER.
Player for at least 7 yrs. Best game hands down!! However over time the creators have made the game less about the experience, and more about generating income for the sale of cash and gold. There was a time when the casual player could just play the game, and us diehards could spend $, but now I don't see how any casual player could actual progress w/o spending $. Over time I have watched upgrades become too expensive, rerolls become to expensive, and now pay to race in season. Too much!
This is one of the best drag racing games on the market hands down, and its free!!! The game is very well balanced between career and multiplayer and a fantastic selection of vehicles. I see a lot of reviews complaining about being matched against higher class cars and not being able to win or lower tier cars beating high tier cars. That's what makes this game a challenge. Mastering tuning isn't easy but you will dominate races if you do.
Great game, easy, fun, and fairly realistic. Would like to see an easier way to get all upgrade categorie items, and possibly a larger increase for each race. One per race just doesn't cut it, I'd be more inclined to make purchases knowing I'll make good headway, getting to a point where I don't see investing any more time or money, currently at stage 6, and almost to my first A class.
I really enjoy this game. Great controls. Great graphics. For the most part a person can do fairly well without spending real money, but the trade off is a steady grind of earning credits and new parts. ...Edit... Now in S class and I'm pretty much at a standstill. It seems like none of my cars in any class win anymore and for that Im pretty much screwed as I cannot earn cash to buy upgrades for my recently acquired S class car.
The only thing I can say is the value of currency could be more. As in like could win more money each race to increase cash flow and be able to progress more smoothly through the game. This is my second account I'm at the end of A1 struggling to grind money and perf item things that vary in amount needed to upgrade. But making the $250,000someodd dollars, I need for my next licences first car takes a long time even later in the game. Love the game to pieces, but please take this to thought guys.
***2014-2023: I've been playing since it came out, and once you learn all the tricks, it's easy enough to get either the gold or the cash. Yes some cars are faster than others that's how it is in real life too, it depends on what you upgrade on your ride, I also do have good info, it's 37 customizable parts, not 33! The suspension helps in the drag mode too not just drift mode! Pro tip: burning out or pulling wheelies are bad for ETA's!
