NJ 101.5 - News Radio (WKXW)

The app is pretty reliable I use it to stream the station to Florida. The few things that would be nice to have that works for other streaming apps. When the stream is interrupted by a phone call restart the stream when the call ends. When the stream is paused the controls at the bottom of the screen don't always work to restart the app. In some cases the ad at the bottom of the screen changes the position of the play button which is awkward.

I like the app as far as content. I do wish it were more stable. every hour or 2 the app stops. it either closes pitright or sometimes it gets stuck buffering and I have to refresh the app manually. I don't have a chea phone either. it's a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. fix the glitches, 5 star all day.

There's a 30 second commercial, THE SAME 30 second VIDEO commercial, EVERY TIME you start the app (or restart when it crashes) which you cannot cancel, click out of or even just reduce the app or else it STARTS OVER! You MUST WATCH this VIDEO ad for a RADIO STATION before you can do anything else with your phone. If they want to play an audio ad before the station loads, fine, but this is completely ridiculous.

I used to love this app. Traffic updates were a big help. Unfortunately it no longer shows details only cashless tolls. I get the traffic alert but when I click on notification I can't get the detailed info on app. I tried contacting a few times latest by email but no response. Going to uninstall reinstall if that doesn't work I'll be looking for another app that works...

When up and running,, it's about a 4-starvrating. Now,, 2 stars bc when it works it works but besides the very long ad upon opening, it keeps telling me to update and there's no way to get passed that pop-up. When update is selected, nothing happens. When uninstalled and reinstalled, the same issue occurs. Please fix!

Shuts off during ads,then you have to hit play button again several times. Someone you have to close and open again, Frustrating. July 2022 app keeps stopping, especially when they go to commercial, weather or traffic. Then you have to click play to start again. Then it stops during a show, click play, repeats about 3 minutes of what you just heard and stops again. If I were an advertiser I would get my money back and cancel. You would think a media company would know how to fix this.

Try to read news on mobile app and you get blocked by ad telling you to download mobile app repeatedly 8 times, not finished reading yet. Tried sending email, x out additional reminders, and have to prove not robot, clicking on pics and clicking on x again and disappeared. Oh well, tried to call, got machine, did as instructed, got same machine recording. Too annoying, listen to on radio all the time but ready to delete app

I used to enjoy the app, getting quick news shorts to keep me updated during my busy hectic day, and that would have been 5 stars. Unfortunately good things always end and yet again greed gas taken over. Now to view current articles you must watch a lengthy commercial first. honestly I don't have time for this so I am deleting my app.

Update: The on demand shows are working again, but not all episodes. However its a major improvement compared to all not working. Hopefully the rest of past episodes work again soon, when the app works, its the best!! It keeps my long hours overnight as entertaining as it can get! Thank you!!!

Your app I absolutely horrible. It is constantly just stopping during operation. Chooses when it wants to work and not work on Android auto. I drive a lot and use Bluetooth head phones while working but having to constantly restart your app will make me just find another talk station to listen to

I love your show. But I am old fashioned and bought a radio that isn't loud enough to hear you when I go to sleep. 😴 So I guess there is something else that I need to buy as well. I love all your contests and program. The station is also very helpful when it comes to information and all that good stuff.

I moved out of NJ but sometimes like to listen to the radio personalities on the station. That works great. But the app will never shut off and I get updates on news and traffic that I don't want. Also it drains my battery so I have to install just when I want to listen and then uninstall as soon as I'm done.

Love this app! I love that I can listen to Bill Spadea at any time I want. I listen to his podcasts. I agree with everything he says about anything! He has excellent ideas and opinions about many topics, especially about our government and our terrible president and governor. I also like that I can tune into their live station on the radio, right on my phone, without needing a radio. Very convenient and informative. I get all of my news from this app, and station.

Works! But they make you listen to a 30 second ad before you can start listening. Important because they have ads during the program as well. So if you use the app to listen you get an extra 30 second. That's the reason for the 4 stars, not 5

Used to be a great app but now just okay as traffic notifications NO Longer works. Should just go back to old fashion text method because this so is not giving notifications at all despite having full permissions to do so on my Android Pie mobile device.

ADS are killing this app. unusable. by the time ADS finish, I've already exited the app. I only come back once in a while to see if the ADS have gone. Uninstalling across multiple devices is next.

I was anxious to go to D&D's page to see the 10 minute footage of Floyd being murdered by that racist cop and I couldn't cuz I needed to update this app. I can only do this over WIFI which I cannot afford right now. So I have to walk a mile to McDonalds (and I hope I can pick up the WIFI signal while standing outside). The reason I give this app 1 STAR, is because the app was just updated on May 11th of this year. Another reason for not liking is the lack of pictures of D&D and other employees.

Everytime that looking to read the news. You have to see an ad first. This site is getting as bad as the news paper thevprice goes up and you get less news and more ads. Getting to not worth buying the paper.
