Cancelling. I've used Norton on every device I have for over 20 years. I'm done! Ever since LifeLock took over, this app went from the best to the worse. I constantly get ads that I tell not to show again that pop up with stupid scare tactics for me to buy more stuff, invasive popups, and overpriced services that don't work as advertised. Password app has horrible integration in the Android ecosystem for the price they charge for the suite.
Safer than other free options, plus, additional tools like password generator are really useful. Ads don't exist in this app, which, ironically, gets me a bit worried, because Norton and any other company will gift you anything, and, I wonder how they get money with this kind of "business" if the product is free, and no ads. Sometimes I change from one app to another quickly, and the app seems to be unlocked, which isn't good at all. To improve app security, Norton has to get rid of that bug.
don't do it, find an alternate. way overpriced and constantly bombarded by upgrade requests. the password manager tool seems archaic and pales in comparison to Robo form. customer support is a bit of a joke. I had an upgrade option of $343 and I called to see if they would be able to come down on it some. the associate came back and offered me a plan for $599.
Great experience with the app so far. A couple of quirks that could be improved upon. when I click on an account to view the password, it doesn't all fit on one line on my phone if it's 17+ characters. If I need to see the whole password to type it in somewhere else, I need to click to edit the account so I can scroll back to see the whole password. The second item is when I click Close Vault on my phone. I've found myself needing to click Close Vault repeatedly until it takes.
Norton lost my password vault. Do not trust them with any of your data. I had been using for a few years, then all of a sudden they lost it. The help desk is a blackhole with no knowledge. Thier answer to every problem is to uninstall and reinstall the app. It's not an app problem, it's a backend problem. There is no way to escalate, and they blame all problems on you.
This password vault app is really very good, with a few improvements needed. It can be used to unlock your vault on a desktop PC or laptop with biometric security for convenience. It can rate your password for how long it would take a hacker to brute force the password. One annoying problem, though, is the way in this and some other Norton product apps the text on the buttons cuts off. Some polishing is needed.
Only for single-user though it is offered with a multi-device plan. It saves passwords, but is really only useful for reference. This app claims to be able to detect password entry on device but it never works - ever. Usually, it is disabled everytime your login times out. If you really want to get the most use out of it, use it on your laptop or desktop. Also, avoid the built-in browser, it's just awful.
This had been so FRUSTRATING! I think I've been able to access this app twice. I always have issues signing in. I have to go through the Username-Password-are you a human cycle over and over and over and 9ver and over and over and over until I finally give up...annoying, right? That's exactly what I think. I can't stand not being able to access this account. So I actually think I'm being very generous giving a 3.
Add Notes!!! The login and password are obviously necessary, but additional information is also needed sometimes, and there should be a place to capture that without having to create a separate note record. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the app, but it is not currently an adequate replacement for my other password app. UPDATE - After posting this review I realized there is a note field in the mobile app, but it isn't visible, or I can't find it on the desktop.
The vault only automatically adds passwords to sites used by using the built in browser, which does not really work. It's extremely slow and freezes. Can't even report the issue, because that page won't even load. The only useful thing is having access to information manually entered. Copying that info into whatever other browser I may be using. The Norton identity safe on my laptop has hundreds of items in the vault, but have not found a way to sync them. Does not stay logged in even though in settings it says it is.
And around I go!! After multiple installs, Uninstalls, and reinstalls, I always end up in the same places. One device won't work without having a secondary device, constantly needing to verify passwords on each feature of the program. I have spent multiple hours on the phone with Norton, Microsoft and Windows 10 technicians, each of which point me in the direction of someone else. In the mean time, my devices are never fully secured using this program.
I have used Norton Password Manager for a few years now. It has been a true lifesaver for me. As long as I have an I internet connection to the application I have always been able access my password vault. It is possible to save a password and go back to find that your update did not save. I believe this may be due to a loss in internet connection or the Norton Vault has a session length and stays open a set amount of time. either way it has happened more than once so be aware.
In today's world of endless logins, passwords. pass keys, pins a little and more, a safe place to save passwords is a necessity. Norton's Password Manager (NPM) fits the bill. Simple to use, all I have to remember is 2 logins, fewer if I use the app on my phone as it can utilize fingerprint and facial recognition. But I don't just need an app. I can login from any computer. Love it. I have over 120 passwords saved.
It sort of works sometimes. It often doesn't capture passwords when I enter them. I need to manually keep a list of passwords which defeats the purpose of the app. It doesn't remember new passwords when I update them. This is even true when Norton suggests a password. I have an unintelligible password that's not kept by the app. Great. Sometimes it works though. I haven't been able to figure out how to get it to work consistently.
Norton has lots of features. It can be a little annoying when it comes to the vpn and the split tunnel settings. (I do love the option). Plus, I am attempting to unblock certain pop-ups that are necessary for my job, specifically when using the password manager secure browser. However, once you figure it out, it works very well. Definitely making things easier.
I have used Norton on my computer/tablets for years and feel they keep me safe! I was thrilled to find they finally had a password manager for tablet. Very disappointed, many glitches, more trouble than it's worth. Kind of a pain to get set up, unlike the computer version which asks if you want to save a password. Wish that would be a feature on the tablet / phone version. Here you have to build a list and then half the time it doesn't work. And now it has erased my entire list without warning.
AVOID THIS APP! When it works, I love it. BUT -- at seemingly random times it requires me to enter my password which it always says is incorrect. I can use a desktop with the same credentials successfully and access all the information I have stored. Customer service always advises me to delete the vault, which I can access through anything other than my phone, but this sounds like they don't want to fix the actual problem -- being able to log in through the app on my phone.
The movement from LastPass to Norton was horrible. I ended up with a ton of duplicates and my comments didn't move over either. Sometimes (not often) there are delays in receiving the approval to open on another device, so probably a server issue. The notes should allow for more characters. Sometimes doesn't autofill some apps, but in general, I'm happy with this app. I know how horrible Norton tech support can be so fortunately I haven't had to use them.
This is a great app for keeping track of all your sure websites, logins, and passwords in one place. It even helps generate random passwords for added security, where you set the password length, whether it should use lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and/or special characters. You can also easily edit the random password if the site allows some but not all, special characters. I use this app for every site where I need to keep track of a secure password.
Perfect for web username and passwords. The app has slowly improved over the years and is almost perfect. The one wish for is the font used to display username and password could be changed. The current font makes it hard to visually differentiate between uppercase "i" and lowercase "l". Also problems between 0 and O. this causes problems when trying to read this text and type into another computer.
