App does not save progress. had to go through the photo Id and identity questions numerous times because if there is no one available, it throws an error and you have to start over from scratch. if you do get connected with someone and you tap outside the video box, it ends the call. terrible design and user experience. does not give the option to upload photo Id instead of having to take a picture every single time
Was skeptical after reading some poor reviews but did it eventually and it worked out fine. I was connected quickly to a notary agent and the process went smoothly and didn't take too long. I did it with my mobile phone and it might've been a little faster on a pc. Payment was even less than I was expecting and reasonable. Would recommend based on my experience.
My overall experience with this app was stressful. The notarizing process was very quick and easy, 5 stars for that. My problem was when I logged in and clicked "sign document" I kept getting an error saying please try again. I was able to reach customer service (with a desktop computer, not the app) and they were quick to respond and helpful. After emailing back and forth a few times, they were unable to solve my issue. I was only able to get this to work through a desktop, NOT the app.
For once, something that was actually easier than it sounded. My notary was friendly, professional, efficient, and courteous. The app worked flawlessly. I was stressed out about the logistics and kept delaying doing it, but it was all for nothing. The process is much better than trying to locate and meet a local Notary. I would recommend it to anyone!!!!
Bad experience. Their notaries don't seem very experienced. They also bail out if they see more than a few pages. If I need to do remote, then I'd rather just do it with a local notary via Zoom. Also more cheaper and easier to just go in person to a local office. App is also crazy to setup and unstable. Doesn't actually save if you use the camera. If you took a picture of multiple pages and press back, everything's gone. Just do in-person or mobile notary. Local is still better.
The first time using this app was easy. The second time, I've never been so stressed in my life. I am having to pay to start the 1.5 page form all over again for a name that wasn't added the first time. And the amount they charge, just take your documents to your bank. So now, I'm paying twice for something customer service just told me to go fix since he doubled back and said, oh nevermind, can't do that after waiting 30 minutes to ask.
Absolutely useless. Their AI systems they're using for the background questions are not accurate. I finally got through to a notarized to get a live agent way to 10 minutes if it's spinning over and over and over again and finally gave up. When to do it again a few hours later and they start asking the same questions that are incorrect. Customer service says they will not and cannot delete my information from their system. 😡
I just used this app yesterday, and I'm really glad I found it. I haven't had much time and recently decided to refinance my car. Let me break down the problems a lot of people have stated: the camera scanner IS a little finicky, but this is easily resolved by simply uploading your documents. It took me less than 2 minutes. My wait time to connect to the notary was also less than 5 minutes. Very friendly. Pricing is also clear: $25 initially, then $10 per signature after.
Failed 3 times... never trying again! This is not a quick or easy process, and there is no way for customers or notaries to control the in-app processes. I have tried using this app three times, and the final recommendation from the support team was to use a different app (Notarize Cam?). I am waiting for that link to try something new. Customer Support and IT were unable to provide assistance and can not override their own software to validate credentials. The developers have some work to do.
The app didn't work to upload a picture of my ID for verification. I tried so many times. It actually uploaded and put me in front of the Notary, but then she said that I needed to upload it again (even though it was clear to her) as the computer didn't process it. I wasted time with the notary and wasted time doing the process over and over again. Another app worked well. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because I wasn't charged.
Helpful and easy to use. My only problem is that you have to close all other apps before starting a call or else the audio will not be received. I couldn't hear anything for 5 minutes before the notary on the other end suggested that I close everything and start again. Next time notify users beforehand to save time.
I was excited to find an app that would allow me to use a notary in the convenience of my own home. however, I quickly became disappointed when I could not upload a photo clearly through the apps camera. The app refused to focus correctly. I tried taking a photo manually with my phone's camera and it worked fine, so it was just the app that refused to work.
The point of the review and signing process is being able to read the documents, which is nearly impossible because the type is too small, and when zooming in you have move the text left and right repeatedly to read it. The app doesn't respond to holding the phone sideways. I hope there is a PC web interface because this one sucks.
Absolutely terrible app. I went through the procedures, downloaded the app, uploaded all my documents, and waited for an hour and a half for a notary to come online. No one ever came and then the app disconnected me. I tried again and go through the procedure. And again the same thing. They're advertisement that a notary is always available is complete BS.I spent about 2 and 1/2 hours with this app and uploading, pure waste of time. If there was a rating less than one star, I would use it.
3/3/21 - Notarize offers the option of taking a photo of the document to upload. Unfortunately they do not mention this results in an inferior quality document that may not be acceptable to the requesting source. Customer Support told me the $25 spent for an unusable photographed document is not being refunded because it was "not considered a notary error" and we "recommend uploading a PDF copy". UPDATE 3/5/21: After several email exchanges Notarize eventually provided a refund.
Video kept crashing in the middle of the call. Also the "notaries" have no idea how to troubleshoot this app. If an issue arises they don't have a clue where to go from there. You can't move forward and they have pictures of all of your personal information now....very sus.
Notary tried to scam me and had me upload a duplicate then notarized both and tried to charge us $55 instead of $35. The customer service team said iw ould have to pay the money and they would refund the $20. I tried to use this since it seemed like a quick and easy option and it was neither of those things. Just got to a notary in person.
I added this app because it offered a convenience based on my current location. I do not have a notary nearby. After starting the process and then seeing a note stating that notarization started at $25, I was unpleasantly surprised. I had a 1 page document and notary usually averages around $5 at least to start. This app is not for.me at this time. Detail your pricing up front.
All I can say is wow, what a time to be alive. Beyond the app itself being really easy to navigate and convenient to use, the service is outstanding. No long waits, professional notaries (at least in my experience) and a near 24-hour service (which is really convenient when living in different time zones). I wish Google had the option for more stars, because this app would get it.
Garbage app. Avoid if there is another service. I was able to get the notary right away, but I couldn't share the document from the app itself. The help chat was no help - questions like, "do you have a pdf reader? Which one? That must be the problem" - it's 2021. I have five ways to open a pdf on my phone, but yeah, that's the problem. I ended up going on my desktop to share the document. Huge pain and time waster.
