NTTA TollMate®

A neccessary app but this feels like robbery and the toll ways are extremely expensive. Would not recommend but I have to have it which isn't cool. Some toll ways are as expensive as $10 even if you drive a mile and even if the highways are the same speed. Also doesn't count when there's a wreck, you still pay full price. 👎👎 theres also a "reward" system which requires you spend money to "save" money. I have like 50,000 points

Notifications don't work half the time. So account goes into negative and get a zip cash statement. Which then isn't even sent out on first notice and they hit you with all the charges. I don't allow automatic billing. Because you're not going to take another 20 or 40 when I still have 20 on there! And then you can't view invoices on it. All it says is there are monthly statements linked to this toll tag. Actually always says that even if they're paid. Come on get it together!

This app sucks! It's not allowing me to login bc of the same issue many others wrote on their reviews." This app doesn't work on a device that has been, etc...." the same reviewI read over and over. While I'm here I agree the toll is way too expensive. But the other issue noted is the perks of the point system, all to give you discounts if you spend money at specified places. For all the money many people put into the toll way, there should be items you get for free with the points.

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!!!! I call myself saving money by getting a TollTag so I started off with $20, I went through 2 tolls and my balance went down to $6... After calling I learned that the price can change depending on the time of day and where you are, and can get as high as $25 per toll... I've never heard of this nor have I ever seen a sign that said this, I really wish I could get my remaining $6.57 back from them because I'm never going through another toll ever... Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Have had this app for several years. It usually worked fine, but the last couple of months when I've tried to log in, it just runs and runs, and then says "please try it later". I needed to add funds as I had driven on 190 the day before and had accrued a negative balance. I ended up logging in via a browser to get this accomplished. Rating it 1 star and uninstalling.

Don't expect too much from this. You can do the basics, but the UI is going to frustrate you. Every time I change pages I have to click through the terms and toll perks pages. Can't hit the back button to go back to account summary. It's very... Clunky. Doesnt show account number, the pin set up page has the boxes all over the place. It's like a 3 year old designed this.

Will not run on my Samsung phone or tablet. Says "Error: For your security, Tollmate is not available on simulators, device with debug turned on or devices whose operating systems have been changed from original factory settings." None of these apply. Would give zero stars if I could. The DMV has better QA than you clowns! Do better.

This is the worst app. You can never log in. I had everything reset and was able to get on that one time and back to the same old $h!+. So now I have to call in again to see if they even got my zip bill (due to not ever being able to log in) taken care of with what I payed last week. This is so frustrating 😤. If I could rate it lower, I would.

Currently I'm very frustrated with y'alls update "progress" to Tolltag app. I haven't had a problem with the app until about mid December when I couldn't access my account at all. I also haven't seen any charges go through my bank account which has me worried that the few times I used the tollways will be pulled in one lump sum which will put me in a financial hard spot. So, so far I'm not to pleased at all.

For some time now, I haven't been able to log in via the app. It just keeps loading & loading until it ends up stalling. I have to now go online to a browser to do anything. Too time consuming for something that should be so simple. I will be sure to only use the toll road ONLY in needed times, where I used to hop on very often. Its just not worth my time to have to go to the browser or call in anytime I want to pay my bill or load on my tolltag.

APP DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE. I haven't changed anything on my phone, but now every time I try to login, it says, "For you security, Tollmate is not available on simulators, devices with debug turned on or devices whose operating systems have been changed from original factory settings." Now I cannot check my account...24 days later and the app now just says, "Sorry for the inconvenience, our mobile app is temporarily unavailable. Please try later." FIX. YOUR. STUPID. APP!!!

App is not working. As soon as I try to login the app displays an error message: "Tollmate is not available on simulators... " , etc. Called NTTA support and they told me to reinstall the app, which I did, but the error is still there and the app is useless. Update: Called again to NTTA support, it's a known bug that they are working on and they claimed it should be fixed by May 7th

I hate this app and this company. I have been traveling to North Texas for 3 years and have been able to add rental cars to my account quite easily in years 1-2. This year the app changed, and I was able to finally figure out how to add a rental car earlier this year. On Labor Day weekend the NTTA office was closed, and I was unable to add the rental car to my account after receiving an error message on both the website and the app. There was some underlying issue that occurred, but they were unwilling to look further into my issue. Therefore I will be charged surcharges from the rental car company for tolls that I wanted to pay from my toll tag account but was unable to due to technical issues from NTTA. They were unwilling to resolve my issue. I hope something can be done about this awful organization.

The designing team of this app should be fired and forced to pay back all their money. I have never scrolled on any app as much as I have to scroll on this one. There's no way to sort transactions by license plate which seems to be an utterly essential tool, and every time you have to view a transaction to look at the license plate and then go back to the transaction list, you have to start at the top again. Horrible experience.

This app has always been difficult to use now I'm receiving an error message that says the app won't work on my phone because "For your security, Tollmate is not available on simulators, devices with debug turned on or devices whose operating systems have been changed from original factory settings." I don't even know how this applies to my phone and the app has at a minimum allowed me to log in in the past. I haven't changed anything yet now it doesn't work at all.

App doesn't process login, it just shows the loading loop for half a second, then it disappears and nothing happens.

Never works. Always says the password is wrong. Or will say security answer but doesn't have the question. update 2026 still does not work. Just updated password and wont sign me in.

Can't even create my account. Process gets blocked at the toll tag id question. So frustrating.

at the moment I cant even use the app. all it does is accept the password than kick back to asking for it again. it could be worse, which is why I give 2 stars right now. at least the website is working

This is a big deal to people who keep low balances in their bank accounts. The customer should be able to decide if they want to check the box to leave their credit or debit card on file for future payments when funds are running low for their toll tag account not the NTTA to default and check the box to store customers card for future payments. The customer has to remember to uncheck that box with every payment transaction they make or NTTA will add funds without the customer's knowledge.
