Absolutely a must have for visitors! We went to NYC for a couple days and had many places to visit. I found this on the store and tried it out. This app is amazing, and free! Very easy to use, go to Directions and mark where you are (uses location) and search where you want to go (address, business name, area of NYC, etc.) and the app shows you where to walk to the nearest station, which train to get on, and WHICH DIRECTION. Tells you how many stops and where to go once you get there.
It's okay. I've noticed incorrect arrival times for buses and trains, or sometimes the arrival time will change from 10 min to 7 to 5 and then back up to 12 minutes. It's not accurate. It also can't find your current location unlike many other map apps. Also, it gives the incorrect location for some addresses. Like, a park near my house is located at 1020 st. But this app marks the park as being at 999 st. I don't know how to report this.
This app has been as close to perfect in displaying the actual and estimated times for arriving and departing buses and trains. I use this app frequently. I have tried other apps before using My Transit NYC. Now I am a loyal customer. Recently I had an issue where my favorites were not displaying at all. "No current trips" showed up for a few days. I relayed this information to the technicians. Not only did they respond that there was indeed an issue, they fixed the problem quickly. Great customer service, great follow up and resolution. Thank you.so much.
Sometimes when a train is run on a different line, the timings for that train won't show up correctly in these stations. E.g. when the Q is running on the F line there's no Q timings shown for the Rockefeller center station even though Google maps and the in-station boards show them. Other than that it's perfect, the offline maps are nice and the UI is really well-done and easy to use
Every train selection in New York City has been wrong. It has sent me to the wrong platform and even in the complete wrong direction on the wrong train!!!! I am deleting this application immediately. I will figure it out some other way. This last time it added thirty minutes to what should have been a fifteen minute trip when I was already exhausted. I am done with this!!!
Brilliant app, easy to use, easy to add favourites and real time travel information. A must have for public transport travel around NYC. Recommended 👍
not accurate and often leaves makes me incredibly late because of the outdated information. I'm uninstalling immediately 👎🏼
doesn't really work well. ads are annoying when you're trying to use it.
Excellent with on time monitoring for busses and trains.
my favorite feature is the fact it has the times for several busses in advance so you can plan ahead, (assuming nothing happens)
Still a five star app, use it whenever traveling. Still my go to when navigating MTA system.
I prefer this app than the other transit app. I suggest that the app helps with where you should be on the train for directions.
The My Transit NYC Subway and Bus App is a good one it works for me so far it been on point with the busses I've have taken and it can been a few minutes ahead or behind but mostly on time . 🚉🚍🚌
This app is very helpful, especially with giving directions on how to reach your destination.
The app gives pretty much on time arrival times very, very useful 👏
it isn't accurate. went the wrong way twice. both times I uninstall the app. will not use for directions, only for map
Very accurate and informative.
I used to stop for more than a year and it worked great. Then I reviewed it for five stars. After that it stopped working. I don't get it.
I downloaded this for a long weekend in Manhattan and it was fantastic. My favorite aspects were the directions (so you knew what your options were even when certain trains or stops weren't operable) and the ability to see the next and subsequent times for arrivals at a particular station. Will definitely use next time we're back.
the App has some good info but not the most important. > I can only see scheduled times within a 2 hour window (I can't plan times for evening trains in the in the morning). > I'm unable to see departure times got trains going specifically to my station (which is sometimes skipped by 'Express' trains). I need to look at arrival times for my station and subtract approximate travel times. > I sent inquires to their customer "support" 5 days ago without the courtesy or professionalism of a response
