NYTimes - Chinese Edition

Good articles, but the app is missing lots of basic functionality, which makes it feel a bit like an afterthought. For exsmple, there is way of changing font size, save articles for offline reading or even of searching for articles (or anything) within the app. I get the feeling thst the people programming the app aren't actually using it.

Has a bug where it shows simplified characters upon a fresh install, despite it claiming to be set to traditional in the settings. Manually switching to simplified and back again fixees it, expect for notifications which remain simplified. Also, you get "Please note, as your phone has less than 3GB of RAM the full-page screenshot feature may fail." when tapping the full screen screenshot button, even if you have 12 GB of RAM 😅

I'm a NYTimes subscriber and I enjoy the articles. It's wonderful that there's a Chinese app so that mom can read as well. But there is no search function on the iPad app!

This is a terrific app for learning Chinese - use a character identifier like Hanping Popup to read the characters and compare them with the English translation. Great for improving your knowledge of the syntax of longer sentences, as well as getting some reportage from China. A big thank you to NYT for this!

I have noticed a technical issue with the application. When I select traditional Chinese as my preferred language, the news articles are displayed in simplified Chinese instead. Could you please look into this matter and rectify the issue? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The option for Traditional Chinese is broken. The articles only render in Simplified Chinese no matter what you select as your preference. Selecting Traditional Chinese only changes the app interface, which is very limited in and of itself.

Good articles free of charge. (Reading NYT on the English app is chargeable.) Fast and easy-to-use app though my phone can't open the English versions at the bottom of the articles.

I keep getting the message that cannot connect and to please try again or enable VPN. I don't use a VPN and my mobile data is fine. I cleared cache. I deleted and reinstalled. Still not working. How to fix???

Zesty propaganda. This app has Chinese and English articles. Dual language articles have the English paragraph and then the Chinese counterpart directly underneath.

Easy to access. Variety type of infering news report. Beautiful writing. Thank you.

Can't share articles so can't read text on an e-reader making it not functional anymore.

NYT. In Chinese! Doesn't get any better than that for my wife so she can read the NYT in her native tongue. Thank you, Nee York Times!

This is an app that full of bias and without any criterion, they just say what they can degrade in the affair of China, I got know why are those app blocked here

Worst app. Not even usable. I like English version better.
