O2 Smart Box

The app is in English but all the setting up are in Czech. I set up my smart box with an old phone number, now it logged me out and I can't log in because the box sent the code to my old number that I don't have anymore. There's no other option and I have to set up a new account which is very inconvenient

strange. I reset my modem, followed the instructions on the smart box screen so I read the qrcode and connected to modem wifi. then I read the 2nd qrcode to install the O2 app. but in the app it says it cannot find the "smart box" or it says it's already paired, so I cannot check or change any setting. the reason I'm fiddling with this is my landlord changed the provider from O2 to t-mobile, and he said there is no need to reconfigure anything. ideas? thank you for your time.

Issue solved. Access to the functionality (entering network configuration) was different than described on online manual page, which should be fixed by the way. The review stars are for the reply, not for the app itself, I still think managing the router through smartphone is an unnecessary step.

It won't work at all without location. That is BS. According to Google guidelines, the app should be able to continue working without location permission, if that is not its main function.

The app could show how much bandwidth is used by the devices, many features are accessible only through a Web Browser, which is kinda silly when you can open it in the phone browser

Hi Dear Unfortunately this app does not working in UK I did does try it on my wifi at home and this app stuck and seems does NOT working at all ... is that blocked only to O2 wifi ? or it is working on any broadband ? I just finished reconfiguration of my network and encountered no problem with the app.

O2 stupid box would've been a more realistic name for the worse most expensive and unpractical internet provider. 2 jahre Vertrag und noch 2 darauf um einen Vertrag zu kündigen!

Minimální možnosti nastavení, i zařízení za pár stovek mají užitečnější funkce než "Smartbox".

Intuitivní...

Tragické. Aplikace vyžaduje, aby Smartbox byl připojený k internetu (default v síti O2), jinak se nedá spárovat. Pokud je potřeba cokoliv v konfiguraci SB změnit, aby se SB připojil k internetu (nastavení DSL jiné než přednastavené O2) nebo DSL nejede, tak aplikace se nedokáže k SB připárovat (buď totiž má internet, ale není připojena k wifi SB, a nebo naopak je připojená k wifi SB, ale nemá internet). Bez připárované aplikace se nedá do SB dostat - je potřeba heslo generované apkou.

Tuto aplikace nechal bych hipsterům, které pc nezvladnou. Pokud umíte něco kromě telefonu, aplikace vás jenom zatěžuje, ale bez ní dostat ke smartboxu se nedá. Smartbox je pro běžného uživatele také hlavně sadou zbytečných funkcí a zdrojem bolestí hlavy.
