I had some signing in problems, but Octopus have been active ln helping to resolve that. The app is good and provides helpful information. Since I do not have an in home unit, this is the only way I can track my usage day to day. Yesterday's smart meter readings are often slow to appear. In theory they should be available from shortly after midnight.

I really don't like the latest update. Although including the daily standing charge in each days usage is not a bad thing, now it's really difficult to see the daily breakdown- it's all under my finger tip! If I adjust my finger to be able to see the breakdown then I can't see the date. Before you added all this extra info, a simple tap revealed the usage and the date.

Logs me out all the time saying "for security reasons we log you out every 6 months". 6 months would be fair enough, but I got a new phone a week ago and it's logged me out twice already. Usually I'm lucky to get two months without a logout. I Wish it could show the Greener nights forecast too, for some reason this is only on their webpage. it's like they don't want their customers to easily get hold of this information. Otherwise it works ok and mostly does what it should.

I love the app bar one irritation. In the account details, there is an entry for your forenames and family name. However, a name change can only be made by contacting customer services - fair enough. This isn't an issue until you look at the app. My example is adding my wife to the account. Online there is no problem, but in the app it shows 'Welcome back Mr Alsop &! It would be better if the surname only had been entered in the Family name field with forenames above. It's a bit of a mess!..

updated app (11/2) still not working! still doesn't show gas readings even when added manually defeating the purpose of "smart meter" (error "is something went wrong"). have told me that readings are sent from my meter but have not explained why it is not on the app even after a day or 2 as told to another reviewer. Have been told not submit a manual reading so let's see how long i go without a gas bill as only ever received after a manual reading unlike my electricity.

0 stars if I was able. not able to sign in and octopus are not interested in trying to help me. to be honest I think the whole octopus franchise had gone down hill and had nothing but problems with them lately. I'm now looking for another supplier between recent billing issues and this app issue I think I'm over octopus if they can't even be bothered to help a customer who has been with them for over 8 years

Had a smart meter installed but the app is now useless. Unlike the web page, the app has not been updated to read gas in cubic metres instead of cubic feet, and so it shows all my usage as 2.83 times higher than actual. As you can imagine, until I worked this out it was quite a big shock to think I was using such a huge amount of gas!

keep on telling me I need my meter replaced, never any appointments available. got in touch and spoke to someone, said my only availability is weekends. they then said I didn't need to have it changed. now just had an email saying it needs changing, no appointments available. useless. they used to be different to other suppliers, now they've got big just as useless as all the others.

Edit to previous review. Someone contacted me from octopus about the issue below and a reset of my password got me back in again. It's nice when a company goes the extra mile to fix things. So all working again thank you. App has stopped working. Login details are wrong apparently. Then I tried on the website same details works fine. I tried everything but still not working.

too many "something went wrong" etc. does not rotate with screen, cannot zoom on charts (when access is available) they read the meter every half hour, yet the information is not made available to the customer for at least 2 days why can't this update every half hour even if that is half hour behind the meter reading? on the plus side - no ads

Freezes when you try to refund money to your bank!! Thieves! works perfectly, fun little octopus and confetti to make you feel good. But as soon as you try to return YOUR money to YOUR bank, the app completely crashes and you have to restart. What a coincidence! I'm sure it suits them not to fix this. "Don't worry you can still call us", knowing that people don't want to sit on hold for 90mins to get their own money back. Super shady.

Useless. All it does is send me notifications every hour or so telling me "Unable to control your device". The app itself appears to major on getting existing customers to sign up as a new customer. Just amateur clowns. Disappointing as we are are British Gas refugees, and had heard great things about Octopus.

Issues controlling our car, but generally good. The majority of the functionality is good, and keeps improving. However, we're on Intelligent Octopus Go and it doesn't work properly charging our Skoda Enyaq. It'll generate a charge schedule and start charging the car at the time it's stated, but then reports that it has failed. It seems to charge the car according to the schedule, but I don't know if it's charging us for the electric at cheap rate, or if it's at the expensive rate!

Don't leave octopus if in credit... they don't give reasonable offers in the app, British Gas beat them easily. The app will tell you how much they owe you a few days after you leave... you can only communicate via email. They tell you as you are no longer a customer it'll take 6 weeks to work out how much they owe you, despite this being quoted in the app...4 weeks later they give a date over a month in advance... Then tell you it'll take place 10 business days after this.... DO NOT JOIN

I love Octopus and the app can be great when it works, it's a bit hit and miss tho on my phone. tried today to enter my meter reading and I just get the spinning windmill and won't again open the page. I have cleared cookies, storage cache, re started my phone and still won't work.

okay, but no reason to use, as the web interface has more features. What's the point of an app, if you have to use your browser to do various things - like signing up for power ups and power downs? An app should be more powerful, not less. in this case, why not have -say - notifications when saving sessions are about to start and end, and also a copy of the info available on the smart meter?

The Octopus Energy app has become completely unreliable. Even after the latest update, it still crashes instantly, opens for a second, then closes and disappears. It just keeps crashing. I’ve tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my phone… nothing works. It’s frustrating, especially since this used to be a solid app. Really hoping the developers fix this soon. I can't even get my free coffee...

unfortunately I've got an Android phone which as I've found out seems to be the poor relation using the the operating system which has glitches 😢 . I've experienced faults with crashes and the intermittent freezing of the spinning 😫 wheel feature. As I've got multiple properties to supply reads for it ends up as a dogs 🐕 dinner. why is it that the iPhone version of the app is so much smoother 😟 ?? Hey ho.

I have not been able to see Octo Go usage information since March! My bills appear to be accurate but unable to see it either in the app or website version. I have contacted cust.serv. but have been given no fix date. I am also using the Ohme app and charger.

for years it has been Ok, a few months ago the app log me out and says "for security reasons you'll be logged out after 6 months", problem is it logs me out multiple times a day, I have cleared data and cache, reinstalled app and it still has the annoying bug!
