Okta Mobile

Was..ok, now trash. Always ran heavy and slow but now i can't log into my workday or any other app within OKTA. Last couple days i tried to connect to workday and it times out. Updated and now it just crashes. Cleared cache and data to no avail. Mandatory for us at work but going to try and find alternative. Usually dont review many apps but this one is necessary for jobs.

Awful app. It can not be that difficult to get an app to do the most basic function, signing in. It never lets me sign in. When I try, I automatically get redirected to an error web page. I'm using the app, not the browser. Why does it take me to the browser? Moreover, why, why, why do I need a password to be 16 characters??? My personal bank doesn't require that many characters, and who the hell is going to remember a 16-character password without writing it down???

This is the most extra app. It's not worth it just use the browser version. To even setup the app you have to download another app and go inside that app and set that one up, and scan a barcode. THEN you can finally setup this app. It's not worth it. Save your time.

Stupid app. I was asked to download and I downloaded. It then asked me to enter my octa domain and credentials but there I have never set up anything like that or asked to set up any. No place to set up domain, user name or password. After said and done, I have to uninstall it and never get to my documents after spending several hours on it. So I am not pleased with the app. Not happy at all. So disappointed.

So far this app is useless. The 4 apps that are suppose to be in there don't show up. With Biometrics enabled, I should not have to put in a dam code every time. There is no account page. Verification should happen with in this app. There should be no need for a stupid verification app. Now I have lost access to 2 out of the 4 apps. I will go back to logging into each app separately. So much easier.

It's an ok app. I can fill out and submit my timesheet and check my work email, but that's all I can do. I can't fully utilize the Lawson and Cornerstone add-ons to to view my PTO hours, past paystubs, complete trainings, and more, even when I put it in desktop mode. It kind of defeats the purpose of the app if I can't have access ALL the important stuff I can when I get on the desktop at work.

Fails to install on my device. Tried clearing cache, restarting phone, and multiple different internet connections and it still will come up with an error. Based on experiences of other reviewers who actually managed to install, you're probably just better off accessing Okta through your phones native browser. A shame that Okta does not go through the effort of supporting older devices.

This app randomly stopped working in the last week. It didn't register anything on the touch screen anymore. I can't even log in with my pass code. The problem is still happening after closing the app, restarting my phone, even reinstalling the app (now I can't even log in since the app won't register my touch). Please fix the bug. It was working fine the entire time I had it but now it's literally useless to me.

Never works, always asks for credentials even after setting up PIN and finger print ID. Waste of time as i cant access the app for workday or dimensions and have to use a computer browser. Cant look at shifts on the go, pretty much sits on my phone unused so, to put it down to one word; useless. Unfortunate really.

Terrible app and support, sent a email over a week ago, still no reply. App won't let me log in with valid credentials for ages now.....the same credentials I use for the Web version fine! Waited a while to see if a dev fix came in with an app update, sadly no luck. Not gonna try or wait again, just gonna delete and look elsewhere for a tool like this as many others have had same issue.

Complete waste. Worst app I have ever been forced to use. Won't verify or push a code despite having to use my fingerprint to even get that far in signing in. How is my fingerprint not good enough? No support due to me not being admin. Wouldn't even talk to me. Edit: spoke with their tech support multiple times, still nothing changed. If I could give a "0" I would. A "1" is too high.

The app is functional, but it doesn't always work in ways that make sense. You can't go right to the areas you need, having to navigate through the menus every time it signs you out (which is often). If you try to bring the app back up via the icon it makes you go through sign-in again even if you just signed in. It is a minor inconvenience once, but having dealt with it daily for months, it is just a frustrating user experience.

Worked just fine before the recent update a few months ago, seems they'd rather update it for pc rather than phones, the myday app (Advance Auto Parts) within overlays all the script to look like alphabet soup, Instead of having the button and then drop down bar, it's now a side bar that doesn't even register tapping and sometimes reacts at a snails pace... App runs like I'm on 2/3g internet in 2023 👎

It sort of works but has annoying features. My chief bugbear is that it doesn't sync my Outlook contacts so am having to add these manually over time, which is really irritating. Doesn't seem to be any way to import contacts. Less critical but still needlessly annoying is that it uses its own ring tone (different from the default setting for the phone) with no obvious way to change the ringtone. I definitely would not use this app if it were not mandated by my company!

It would be great if this app was optimized for a mobile device. I shouldn't have to flip my phone into landscape mode in Dayforce in order to clock out for a meal. (This problem exists on Android and Apple.) I have to uninstall and reinstall every few weeks in order to login, and that gets quite annoying. You guys can do better then that.

I was directed to use this app with instructions to simply download, install, and once I'm logged in, to scan a QR code. Only, in order to login, I need to specify a domain. No domain name was provided, and it's a free text box, so it could be literally anything. Great work!!

How they have this set up is by connecting to the Wi-Fi to clock, in or out. Of my knowledge, every other app that does this sort of thing, does it off location not Wi-Fi because if the internet goes down yeah, no one can do anything with this. Maybe it's time for an update. The time that i'm uploading this, I physically cannot clock in or out on my phone or the computer, please update it

We have been asked to use this app for workplace training and workday issues. Been trying to open learning site from the Okta app which seems next to impossible. no matter how many times I have restarted the app or checked my internet connection, this thing doesn't work at all. I wished to use it while I am travelling to work, but what can you do if the app doesn't do anything for you.

This is one of the most painful apps to use. If I didn't have to use it for work I wouldn't. It doesn't save my information when I tell it to so I have to relogin every single time and it is now frozen so I can't use it it all, which I see other people are having problems with as well. I even reinstalled the app and it still isn't registering anything that I touch so now I have to use workday which takes even longer to login because it also doesn't remember my information.

"Sign in error". That's as far as I could ever get with this app. It worked on the website via laptop, but even website via phone got same "sign in error" message. Uninstalled, wish I could get the time wasted trying this app credited back to my life expectancy because this app was not worth my precious time.
