I've been looking for a minimal launcher for months now. I remember scrolling past Olauncher and it just seemed too good to be true, especially with so many other competitors. It's been a few weeks since I downloaded Olauncher and set is as my default launcher (it took me some days to transition) but I am so happy with it now! I've reduced my screen time, got back into reading more, and most importantly I've stopped opening apps for no reason. On the downside: I miss having some widggets!
WOW!! I love this. Simple and elegant interface. I love the idea of Litephone, but I need access to some apps. Olauncher grants that. Vanilla, text-based interface that allows normal use of all Android apps. I do miss Google's weather and calendar widget. I like that apps auto-launch when search becomes unique. I don't like when apps have duplicate names and I can't tell what they are without icons or publisher info. That part of the app drawer needs work. Actually, it already allows renaming.
Olauncher is an elegant solution that eliminates a big problem: distraction. I hope I am not the only one who gets their phone to look something up, or type something out, and then ten minutes later you're in a rabbit hole deeper than than the marina trench. Olauncher cuts out all the noise and gives you the essentials. your apps. 11/10 awesome launcher
I've had it for all of 10 minutes and already I love it. I have a super ultra mega minimalist setup now that still lets me access what I need to, but hides away the stuff I don't need to access as much. Super smooth and fast too. Love the gesture shortcuts. EDIT: The screen time feature doesn't work correctly, it shows wildly inaccurate numbers (15 hrs or so when I've only used my phone for a few minutes). Edit again: I got a new phone a while ago and the screen time seems to work now.
Pros. It doesn't change my wallpaper or lock screen unless I enable it. It allows me to disable the top bar (with time, notifs, power, etc) while on the home screen. It removes easy to click icons while still being quick to navigate. It has quick access for important apps I pick. Cons. It opens the app if there is only one left while searching my apps, not allowing me to click on it myself. The top bar is still there within apps. Popups on homescreen for updates and rating.
Super useful for minimizing the distractions that come vying for my attention! I can choose a handful of apps to keep on my homescreen as text only. If I need another app I can just search it by name. There are other things I could do to really lean into the benefits but as of right now, I am content with the effects I've seen so far.
It's perfect for me. I've been looking for a launcher that makes my phone feel more like a flip phone and this does that but better. Having up to 8 apps on the home screen is all I really need for my super frequently used apps and then anything else I typically have to search for anyway and this makes that convenient with the auto pop up keyboard in the app drawer. Love it.
I'm a big fan of minimalist launchers in general, but this is my favorite so far. No user data collection, and no paywalled special features. I get a sleek, stripped-down home screen and a basic alphabetical list of all apps as my new app drawer. It does what I need it to do in order to help me use my phone less, while still liking the look of the UI. Great work!
If you are looking for a minimalist launcher, this is by far the best one. It's free to use with no ads at all, which is incredible. If you want extra features like widgets you can pay for pro, but not having pro doesn't diminish the quality of the app at all. I love this app, it has helped me stop scrolling through my apps randomly or opening them for no reason and saved me quite a bit of time. I really love how it opens the app you're typing in to search right away as well. Thanks developers!
Love love love this app. As a person who loathes clutter of any kind, I never liked having a screen full of icons. This app not only eliminates the clutter, it provides a much easier (for me) way to find what I'm looking for by using text instead of pictures. The customization options are simple, easy to understand, and minimal, as well. The fact that it has no ads is a blessing in this time of constant demands for my attention (and money!). Five stars is not enough. I give it all the stars.
PLEASE add a feature to be able to position the shortcuts on the home screen more specifically than just left, right, and center. I'd like to be able to make it fit a lot more with certain wallpapers, and it doesn't seem like this is something any other minimalist launcher does either without charging you some stupid subscription. Otherwise, my favorite launcher!
does what it says, isn't intrusive, doesn't cost money. i tried this and minimal launcher, this is a lot better imo, at the free version. there's a paid version and that's a lot more like minimal launcher and charges a monthly cost or a whopping $25, which i think is honestly kind of ridiculous. Not everything needs to be a subscription (and certainly not this).
So much better than I ever expected. This launcher has more than halved my daily screen time. The UI is easy to navigate, and cuts out all the wasted time looking through icons and even names with their search feature. If you're not used to it, don't turn it off! It's so convenient how it opens exactly what you need and nothing else. No more random app usage, just intended usage.
I genuinely really like this! it's what I've been looking for in a launcher through and through, and I'm glad they are so open about all of it! the only things I'd want are haptics and an option to disable auto-searching! Like going to the app drawer or long pressing on the home screen to open the associated menu, everything else is really great about it!
This has been my daily driver for several months now and for the most part, I love it. My only wishlist items: + More than 8 home screen items. I only need like one or two more, and it's not a huge deal, but being able to do 10 would be really nice + Some sort of calendar integration/widget for upcoming events would be really nice. My wife and I share family calendar items with each other and I sometimes feel out of the loop because I don't often go out of my way to check the calendar.
The simplicity of the interface of my phone is a huge stress relief I didn't realize I needed. I've had to switch phones a lot the last few years. I've grown tired of having a million app icons that just look cluttered and overwhelming. I switched to Olauncher shortly after ditching all my social media. I don't feel dread when picking up my phone anymore. I used the side accessory button and the option to open specific apps by sliding left or right. huge time saver. t
10/2025 Still a great app. I've uninstalled it and bringing it back is always a reminder, oh yeah, I would just check my phone. I have had this app for at least a year. I love this app! I was thinking I wanted to turn it off because I wanted to use one of my apps widgets. I turned it off and removed all my home screen apps to create a similar idea. I still became overwhelmed with the app menus extra information when I search to open an app. Went back to the tried and the O launcher.
I find that I'm spending less time on my phone. Having the names of the apps in a list instead of icons all over the screen keeps me focused. It causes me to think of which app I need at a particular time and scroll through the list to pull it up, instead of getting distracted along the way by other apps. This is the most useful app I've downloaded in a long time!
this is by far the best launcher on Android. it's completely free. it has no ads and above all it is incredibly effective and useful. The phone is a tool and this launcher allows it to work. that way. I'm spending way less time on my phone. I'm using it only when I need it. not when I want to be entertained. I wish every phone just had this, I find myself not scrolling ever. not to mention it's so functional, switching apps easily. simple search for apps. just use it seriously
So this launcher is almost everything I could have wanted in a minimalist launcher. I'd consider getting pro if what pro is was better explained. If it's ANOTHER subscription service, I don't want it and will never purchase it. For what I need, this base version is almost perfect and another subscription would go against part of what using this launcher is for. I've seen devs responses to people asking for weather widgets and understand it costs. I'm still not willing to pay a sub for just that.
