As of Feb 2026, contact names are erased in main call log so I never know who is calling or texting me. This is my business line so it's important that this is fixed. This app also deletes any prior messaging from 30+ days so there is no message history to refer back on when retouching on a customer. *Edit - 2/12: All contact names in app within the last 30 days have been erased, not just the main call log. I will delete this review when corrected.

The app is awful. It's ridiculously slow and crashy all the time. Half the time it doesn't notify you of calls or texts. I had to set it up on my computer and just call everyone back once I get the missed call notification from their web version. It’s incredibly annoying. With how expensive it is, I don't think I'll be continuing with this company for much longer.

The app is working fine for the most part. However, the logo change is really annoying for one reason: the icon for Quo in the notification bar looks like a voicemail message icon. I keep thinking I have unread voicemails instead of Quo notifications, and it's really irritating. Would be nice if this icon was changed to look more distinct.

Latest update broke my ability to save comments. I'm on Android and same issue on both phones! On one phone the 'Send' comment button is grayed out and below the area on my phone that I can touch. On the other phone, I can't even see the button. All these unnecessary updates that break things - are not fun. What is their QA team doing? Additionally, was having issues with phone call quality. Sometimes can't hear the other person.

Great, feature rich app, that leaves a lot to be desired. Has ability to record all calls, but only within the app, not if call is forwarded to another phone through the menu, or if call forwarding is turned on. If you have the menu enabled there's no option to leave a message. Often times contact updates don't show up between devices. If you're on a regular call on your phone and an openphone call comes in through the app it still rings loudly. And it constantly drops calls...constantly.

We used this app for about a year and it worked pretty well with the occasional glitch. Their latest release, in addition to having some bizarre terminology and weird ergonomics, does not use the phone's proximity sensor on any of our staff's phones. This means that when you put your phone next to your ear, the screen doesn't turn off and your ear actuates functions on your phone. It's impossible to take a phone call and impossible to hang it up. This has been going on for weeks.

Texting is not free. When I signed up for Open Phone it said texting was included. Now I am told I have to pay upfront fees and a monthly fee for texting. This company lied by saying texting was included when it really wasn't. Also there is no refunding of money. I signedup for monthly, they changed me annual and will not correct the mistake. Don't use this app. I am very sad I did.

The app is promising but has major flaws, especially on Android where client info disappears (while still being present on iOS device, same account.) Thread mentions don't link properly, and and searching numbers should not pull up a similar phone number if the number is not found. This often results in calling the wrong customer. In our experience most of the issues take place on the Android app while the iOS app is more smooth.

*Update to my original review; Openphone did a full refund. Otherwise I did not have a good experience with the app for calls. Customer complained they couldn't hear me or I kept cutting out, second person could hear me fine but they were cutting out for me. When answering calls, it would connect but still often show that there was an incoming call as you were talking with the person. There are just too many glitches for me.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Does not work on Android or Windows devices. Devices do not ring, messages dissappear before your eyes, outgoing calls are dropped, etc... no amount of clearing cache, refreshing, signing in and out will allow this app to be used. I have no choice but to use this app for my job and it is basically unusable for me. These are common issues with this app that Openphone is aware of and they have yet to fix the bugs in their software. I am beyond disappointed with OpenPhone.

There is a lot to like about OpenPhone. It's super easy to use, the features are pretty solid, and they have some key integrations such as Zapier. However, the app is unreliable. Lots of bad connections and funky behavior such as it continuing to ring even after a call is answered, long pauses after answering before the connection is made, and randomly dropping calls in progress. Also, they've started making new features such as transfer only available if you pay a higher rate. I hate that game.

This app is moderately functional. I find it drops calls often and the connection is poor. With the latest update, I am no longer able to listen to my voicemail. I can only read the transcript, which is always hilariously wrong. The text box for typing texts is really small also. It's important for me to have a separate number for my business, so I'll give the app that, as it does provide me with a second phone number.

So far I have been very disappointed. Almost nothing works as described. It seems to offer a lot of nice functions (that I don't need). My calls cannot be answered, most outgoing calls do not work correctly with multiple attempts, text messaging is hit or miss. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. The incoming text alerts don't work most of the time. And forget about using your contacts. They have to be imported using an Excel spreadsheet or typed in one by one. THEN THEY DONT EVEN WORK.

I'm living abroad for an extended time and I wanted to save my US phone number that I've had since 8th grade. Hearing some ambivalent-sounding things about Google Voice, I sought out a company that's more actively managing their product and could help me with the transition. It's been nothing but a delight, they've handled the porting easily, and they've made what could have been an annoying process manageable and pleasant. Their customer service is prompt and knowledgeable. It's sort of astounding US carriers have overlooked this for so long, but it's their loss. Thanks to OpenPhone, I've got a great solution.

First off, if I go into the phone and choose to leave a rating through the settings and select that I don't like the app, it won't let me leave a review. strike one. They don't allow 5-6 digit phone numbers to text you, but that's not always true. strike two. App shows notifications, but when I click on them, the app won't show my latest messages or missed calls. strike three. this was good when I first signed up. I've been watching things go down hill since. 1* until it's all fixed!

Terrible customer support, glitch, and very expensive! Questions to company are greeted with a labyrinth of FAQs that don't address your needs. And at $180 per year, it is hardly a bargain. (Try Google Voice instead) Finally, the app is flawed. One can't hang up at end of call. It stays on until you restart your phone. All in all, just a costly mistake.

Not very user-friendly. If you dont have great service it doesnt work. Entering new contacts is confusing because where you go to put the name of the person or business doesn't line up properly. If you dont have your phone ringer all the way up, the app won't notify you unless you already looking at your phone even with all notifications on. The person on the other line hears a delayed response from my end so we are talking over each other. Recent call log doesnt always show numbers contacted.

Basically, the customer support is incredibly responsive and helpful, and you can tell a lot of work has gone into making the UI really snappy/user-friendly. For me I just wasn't able to use it because it kept either not showing text messages that people had sent me (i.e., they would say "did you get my text?" but it wasn't there), or wouldn't send text messages I sent to others. I'm totally sold on everything else, though, so going to try again in a few months to see if these issues have been addressed. If so I'm definitely switching over to OpenPhone!

It's great for being on the budget. For just $10 you can make your small business be more professional and have tons of great features. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the notification system for calls doesn't ring on the phone but as a notification instead and would be nice and easy if it just rang like a normal call. Unless that already is possible then I have no clue how to set that up. Other than that it's solid for the price.

This app has been a game changer for two small businesses I'm a part of. In one instance, it helped us make team communication easier, and calling from the company phone on the go and snap. In the other instance, it gave our business a dedicated phone number with an area code that matched the business address, greatly increasing inquiry calls. I couldn't recommend this service more!
