Login is a hassle. I'm having to enter my email address and look up my password every time I use it. Needs a memory there or a fingerprint option for logging in. Looks like I have the updated version... I checked. :) Lean and Green needs to have an option with the Flavors of Home added as well. I just started using this, and it's making tracking a nuisance. Might just have to go back to paper. lol
The app is good WHEN it works. My Android Samsung S25 phone has been having issues. I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. No success. The notification works inconsistently. For months I received NO notifications as to when I was to eat my next fueling. Finally, it started working again. NOW it stopped. So frustrating! It works on my iPad but not my Android phone. obviously I do not carry my iPad around! please fix this ongoing issue. Thanks
I know this is a new app and all, but as someone who is on the program because I am dangerously underweight — a lot of the wording and options don't apply to me, so I feel very unseen. Also, you should add the option for the app to remember users so they don't have to retype their password every time. On bad days that has literally stopped me from tracking what I should be.
I lome the app! It makes life easier than before to keep track of my meals and hydration. However, i have a few things that could improve. The app signs me out too often. I would like to be able to change the water requirement based on my doctor's recommendations. Also, i can't upload a photo. It just keeps sending me back to permissions. It would be awesome if the app allowed you to split the L & G meal. Also, i could not put in my steps goal per day.
When it works, it is very handy. Once again, I can't open the app. This time, it asks if I want to use biometrics. When I click cancel, I get a white screen with the Optavia logo.It asks me to sign in daily. Although not a big deal, it is annoying. I have added a meal, and it adds it 2 or 3 times. Some of this should have been worked out in Beta, I would have thought. Hopefully, the app will start working again.
Great program but the app is lacking. Doesnt link your fitness watch to track your steps. The flavors of home lean & green meals are not avail to select in the food tracking. There is a lot of manual entries I would also love to see an home screen that has your metrics on it once this progresses. % goal to steps,hydration, weight. It would be great if you could add your own meals & save them once you got to that part of the platform. Sticking with the program but probably tossing the app.
The app is OK. I like that I can track my meals, however, when the reminder pops up for the next meal, when I tap on the reminder it should open the app but it doesn't. Also, I have to sign into the app at least once a day. This is super annoying. I should only have to sign in the very first time and then never again, especially considering I'm using it all day long so the app isn't 'inactive'. Also, it would be helpful to have the little starter book included in the app.
The screen moves around. When you open it sometimes you can't see hydration or your can't see the area where you add your meals and/or fuelings, etc. You can scroll up & down but it doesn't help. You just have to close it & start again. I wish it quirks let you add other areas that you take measurements, for instance, I measure my knees, but I can't record it. Also, I don't like that it won't let you look back to previous days. There are other things, too.
This app is mostly useless. The only bright spot I've found so far is the weight tracker. To have to leave the app to edit your food order. The pdfs that contain information on snacks and condiments don't open in the app and don't open the proper app to read the data. There is a meal tracker but it has no time component to help schedule fuelings. I haven't bothered to check anything else out. I'm already disappointed.
I used this app for about a month and every time I added a fueling to the tracker, it was duplicated 10 or more times. It was very frustrating to use to track my fuelings. I would delete the duplicated meals and that was a long process because the app was slow to process. The weight tracker worked fine as did the food order tracking and link. But without being able to track my fuelings, this app is useless. I'd rather use another app or even a piece of paper.
It's better than nothing, but there are quite a few improvements that would improve usability. The app is slow to load. It has no timer function to remind the user of the next fueling. Also, the weight entry should be moved above the graph and the goals entries. I literally only use this page to enter my weight every morning. Having to scroll down just to find the right section to click wastes my time.
The app is great when it works. It helps me remember what times to eat, and I figured out how to stop multiple meal entries. I love the weight and water trackers, and the recipes under the Lean & Green. But today, I can't even open the app at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I have done several soft resets on my phone, and all I'm getting is a white screen with the Optavia logo in the middle.
Works on & off. The recent update somehow changed my starting date and is no longer tracking my progress even though I can see the history in there, and there's no way to tell it to use the correct data so it's recognizing me for a third of my progress which is very upsetting. It also locked me out from updating my order a full 24 hours early so I ended up ordering more than I intended when I wasn't done updating it yet.
I love the app for tracking my water and how many times I have eaten in the day. It would be better if there was a way to prompt me that it's time to eat, but my coach introduced me to a separate app that reminds me it is time. I would like the app better if all of the lean and green recipes were available. I find many on Pinterest, so that is helpful. Thanks for all you are doing to develop the app so far! Also, since the app is free and there are no ads, that's nice too!
Stop logging me out every five minutes. **Three months later: Still having to log back in to this app at least three times a day. It's every time a change is made to the app; roll out a larger update all at once and not every single day.. so frustrating. If this isn't going to be fixed, allow users to select a box like "Keep Me Logged In". Let us manually type times instead of enduring this rolling number thing. It's 2024, FFS. **SIX MONTHS LATER: still logged out constantly. Discouraging.
Horrible! Optavia needs to do better! I miss the old app in that it showed trends and had meal reminders. You were also able to adjust the times that you ate. This app is now useless except for the weight tracker and the recipe section. Those are the only two good things about it. Other than that, it's trash. Bring back the old version of the app. It's ridiculous that I had to download an additional app to give me notifications about meal reminder. This is not helping set people up for success.
It's OK. It functions, and I realize that they're adding some features, but honestly I don't use it much solely because the password requirements are overly tight and there is no option to save the password. I can for the account on my Chrome Browser but not for the app on my phone which is protected. I get some people want to enter everything every time, but I don't, I want to save it since my phone is protected anyway and the browser isn't.
So far so good. I like the recipe section and the option to adjust servings. I dislike that it takes me to the website for things, I'd prefer it all be in the app. Great base app Things to add/improve- An option to scan barcodes from food, it would show you what you can have, what it falls under (condiment, healthy fat, green, lean) Also maybe a section to keep track of body measurements and weight. Also a time to eat reminder and a water tracking.
Optavia is a great weight-loss system. This app, however, is so buggy & so poorly designed its actually more trouble than it's worth. Pen & paper would be better. Sometimes the Meal Tracker opens, sometimes not, & sometimes it will enter a single meal 2, 3 or 4 times. Also, "Tracker" is a misnomer. Each daily entry disappears @ day's end, so there's no way to actually keep "track" of your meal patterns or look at the notes you took. Kinda useless. A journal/notes app is easier, more efficient.
I really loved your previous app.! It displayed correctly on my phone. The new app does not display correctly. The information overlaps. Also, it doesn't consistently work. I was able to quickly log water one day by tapping on the buttons and today I had to manually type it in. I feel like my three stars are out of politeness and because I like the program.
