Pretty good app. I like the idea of my own vpn. I wish it was pre-setup to work with more cloud providers. Yes, you can set it up yourself to work with whomever your cloud provider is but its much easier to do when they are preconfigured. Still, a good and useful app. Update: After playing with it, it's easy to set-up with many cloud providers. I also looked around online & found low end VPS boxes out there. I have an VPN running for about $2 a month. That I have more control over (logging).

The most annoying problem is that when I click to disconnect, the behavior is somewhat random. Most of the time it doesn't disconnect, it seems it needs to keep talking to the server to get disconnected that is a stupid thing in terms of software engineering. When I click the button to disconnect I expect the app to immediately kill the vpn connection; if it needs anything to do with the server, which it shouldn't, do it in the background.

It became literally impossible to disconnect recently. If you have your VPN turned on for more than 5 minutes and then try to disconnect, it starts "disconnecting" you forever, while the VPN is still on, and restarting the phone doesn't help. The only way to disconnect when it happens is to go to phone settings and force stop the app, which is very annoying to do every time

hi, so I installed this app today and idk from some hours ago when I connect it, it gets disconnected and when I disconnect, it gets connected but it doesn't work and says error occurred or internet connection problem, my friend said it might get fixed tomorrow so I hope so and I think it does but since u guys wanted a feedback too I told this just in case anyone was in problem like this! please fix this bug if it didn't get correct! bye

Sometimes, could not diconnect through the app and needs to be disconnected directly through the phone settings and that cause not connecting after press connect and needs the app fully closed and open again. Also, it sometimes automatically connect by its own after disconnecting from the app and needs to be re-disconnection and the app full closure. This issue specially occurs in my samsung device with Exynos chipset and in other devices, the app has better stability.

I've been using outline for almost a year now. And it was working great. But for the past week it stopped connecting. I installed the updated version hoping that it would work, but it's doesn't connect at all. I've tried so many keys but none of them connect.

The application is not transferable to other devices. If you downoad it from one site for a device could not do it again for another and it infers you to the website to make your own access key???!!!Keeps disconnecting and connecting again won't last for more than a few seconds.As probably know, here google and all related apps and programms are filtered, even google play store, can't updste anything, won't even work with vpns.

This app is great, I'm in Iran and I use it almost 24/7 with little to no issue, for all the people complaining about keys not working, this app is NOT a VPN, it's a connection to a configurated server which must be accessible in first place, I configed my own AWS server and bought a Domain to overcome the constant IP blocks and it works amazing.

However we're suffering extreme internet issues in Iran but outline is a well-designed app. It is worth mentioning that shadowsocks is no longer a good choice for our iranians. Thus outline will not help anymore. I also have a suggest in the context of UX design: it will be so helpful to add a disconnect button on the notification bar. Everytime I must open the app to terminate the connection.

Thank you for helping Persians to connect internet. It works in Iran but very slow. Of course it is not the issue of application , it is heavy restriction on our internet. Hope you guys make it more faster, especially for browsing websites via Firefox and Chrome.

I'm actually admire for this app , it's a really have great work and no any bugs or something like that , but , despite all of that , I close to implore you to add version for tv , and , yeah , this segment not so widespread among users , but some counties and there inhabitants are need this!

The VPN is very fast and light and it works perfect except for one part. It gets disconnected automatically after some minutes of being in the background. although I have allowed it to run without restrictions in my phone in Battery settings but it makes no difference. my phone is Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

App works, but there's big downgrade compared to shadowsocks app. You cannot forward LAN-traffic directly, cannot filter apps etc. There's only 2 button: add server and connect. Client for Linux (this the same ported app) doesn't work at all. Nice job with protocol, but client app is pretty bad.

I cannot recommend this product: 1. It is not a VPN but a Shadowsocks proxy. 2. I experienced frequent disconnections when switching between cellular and Wi-Fi connections. 3. The status notification is unreliable, often showing that you are connected when you are not. I suggest considering alternative options.

Totally useless. Before it worked at first, but then it keeps telling the user go download lantern, itself no use.... Then to add s server key one should use its download manager, to create server keys, which requires a small amount to contribute, but never they think how a user in a state of all filtered matters could send money. This is the first base. If this was feasible, who would need a proxy or an app to go around the sensored sites?

The new version it doesn't work correctly. Everything is alright until you want to add a server, the plus button it doesn't work at all and you have to change the language for it. After that there's no connect button. Please resolve these bugs.🙏

The connect and disconnect function should be removed from the circle.. meaning the circle should be free from any touch function; since I've mistakenly disconnected my connection to the servers many time just by touching the circle area. The app is otherwise great. Simple and user-friendly. Does as it is advertised.

Fantastic app. I self host an Outline server at my house to bypass public wifi restrictions when I'm out and about. The only place it doesn't work for me is at Costco and I believe it's because they block higher outbound ports which isn't the fault of Outline.

Very good VPN app that I highly recommend. Therefore, there is some efforts to do like smart proxy. Since we may not want everything going through the VPN connection especially for slow internet connectivity environment, adding this feature in order to allow user to filter apps they want to proxy is great idea. Overall, this application is really the best.

Servers fail to connect around 50% of the time. I found the speeds to be surprisingly fast despite no servers located in Australia (closest server is in Singapore). No Au based servers really limits what I can do on the net (IE: no access to devices on my LAN & local news unavailability).
