Biometrics is still not working.. I tried switching it on and off and logging in multiple times and nothing saves. It's probably due to the app taking you to a web login every time rather than actually logging in with the app. OVO claim they can't replicate this so 🙄 because I'm not the only person experiencing this issue. Also, when you try to edit the date of payment, you get an error saying you cannot edit the date before your first payment however I have been with OVO for a year or more..
Does a whole bunch of stuff except for the only thing that I have ever needed to do, which is to adjust my stupid fixed monthly direct debit amount so that I can stop being $400 in credit... lame (it says that you can change the amount in the Google Play app's description, but if it is so hidden in the app that I can't find how to do it then it may as well not be in the app - it's either a failure of design or it just isn't in the app)
I like the usage graphs, the joys of smart meters. The login totally sucks though, would be great if you could use auth tokens so I'm not taken into the browser and have 2 tabs opened up to login every time I want to use the app. It's easier to just login through the browser than use the app.
Even if you enable biometric login the app takes you out of it and into a web browser twice to login every single time you use it. You have to enter in your login details every time too. The app only asks for my biometrics on rare occasions and even when it does it'll still just take me to a webpage to log in. Not to mention their green background image is missing most times. Your website is fine on mobile so making a app this poorly just ruins an alright customer experience.
Can't rate an app I can't use. For past 2 days it goes into "wind turbine" mode after login and just keeps turning...and turning. And on the subject of login, why won't it remember me? Why do I have to enter my details every.single.time? I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Still wind turbines.
Poor Login experience. It keeps 'forgetting' biometric login. Forces you to enter a password. Opens up a 3rd party webpage so it can't be auto remembered. Generally seems like they want subtle barriers to dissuade you logging in and seeing what's going on.
It's a good app but having to login every time is hard work.
They changed the app so now I can't see my daily peak and off peak spend as clearly. The old format was better.
be careful to read the fine print. our bills skyrocketed after switching to OVO due to demand tariffs that they don't explain at signup. beware.

Great for tracking usage but they need to update so you can save log in details or stay signed in. Everything you open the app you need to put in your details again.
It won't let me load the app on my tablet. Seriously? And I have to sign in every occasion. It is almost like you don't want me to access my data. It is 2024, not 2004. Make you app user friendly, cross platform, and not having to sign in each time.
Updated review: the developer listened to feedback and responded, and acted on this feedback which I respect. Still not keen on Chrome login but once getting in the app it does a very good job of presenting your power stats. Thank you
Data doesn't update every day,, mostly weekends it's delayed. The summary shows cost and KWH, it would be good to see the KWH charged for and the free KWH itemised like below or some way to quickly see free vs charged kwh in the day, well and month views. Electricity Used Free 7kwh. $0 Cost 12kwh $4
The app works well... However, I have been unable to locate the EV part where I can take advantage of using the super off peak charge automatically with my Tesla or the Tesla app. There's nothing... Can you help?
very buggy app, another bug with the app is when you click help, it just reverts back to the original page. ovo not answering my email.
App itself is ok but I have to log in every time I use the app and is extremely frustrating.
it was a surprisingly good app for an energy company. nice work ovo. pitty not all companies can be this good at making apps.
EV plan is amazing, recent addition of enabling charging only during off peak hours completes the feature set for me. Well done guys
Ovo billed my credit card for $160 while my account was in credit, and didn't explain why. Struggling to get a response from them as to why this occured and to reverse the charges.
