I absolutely LOVE the sock itself, but the app needs some major work. When I view the graph, the times do not match (i was just viewing August 27th, which I'm about 20 minutes into, and the graph was showing results up to 8am...) not only does the time not match up, if there is a low point on one of the graphs and I try to scroll over to it, it won't show me the correct numbers. Ugh. The app just needs some major work. The idea and sock itself are fantastic. Please fix these issues, ASAP!!!!!

The app for the most part doesn't work. The sound is the worst part it cuts in and out. We have un-plugged and plugged the camera back in. Exited the app and Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It's just completely horrible. I've actually woken up in the middle of the night and the app has completely stopped working. How is that safe? It's not. I wish we would have registered for a different monitor and didn't follow the hype. I love the idea. But if I could give it negative stars I would.

You have to restart the app every time you try to open it, otherwise it's just a black screen. That is annoying, but it does work once you restart it. My main issue is that the app continues running in the background, even if you've eared the cache. So, your phone battery drains quickly. To stop this, I have to go to settings and force stop the app to actually close it and save battery.

I've had this one for about a year. I didn't get to use it much due to not being able to connect which is what it's SUPPOSED to do. Even after trying all the things in the settings and "learn more" it has the worst time staying connected to the wifi and my phone. Unless I restart the whole process it only stays connect the first couple hours and only as long as I'm in 3 feet of the thing. It's sad these things don't work well. They're be really nice if they changed the all the bugs.

Edit: Over 2 (!) years later and the problems are still the same!!!!! We've switched to a standalone monitor and it always works. Unbelievably awful product. We moved to using it just as a camera/monitor and it feels like the camera is offline more often than it is working. Resetting doesn't fix much and when it does work, I have to force close the app after every use or the feed won't load when opened again. The best descriptors I have for this system are "unreliable" and "frustrating".

The sock gave us false alerts almost every night, so we stopped using it as the sock was causing us more anxiety and to lose sleep. Since then we've used the camera, which used to work ok (but no better than cheap alternatives), and then in the last couple of weeks, video live view just won't load, videos recordings were triggered but videos weren't available and then for the last 4 days the video isn't working at all (but the device is connected to our WiFi with good signal).

App crashed in middle of night, thankfully I woke up and realized, infant had been crying for who knows how long and I couldn't hear her, very upset. App crashes, camera is finicky and only connects half the time, constantly having connection issues, won't even work on my husband's phone. The sock is worth it and gives us great peace of mind, but we're installing a different camera and sound monitor today. Bummer!

I don't know what you've managed to do to the app in the last month, but it went from one of the best things I've ever used, to absolute garbage. I have so many connection issues since the last update. I have to disconnect the camera, stand in my kid's room while he sleeps and hope he doesn't wake up, and try over, and over, AND OVER again to connect the camera. Sometimes I get lucky enough for it to connect on the first try! ...just for it to tell me it can't perform the updates. Get it fixed!!

The sock is great, but the app can use definite work. When I first started using the app, I had to contact support because it was not saving the data after a week. That was fixed, and I haven't had a problem for a month. Now I have to uninstall and reinstall the app every night for the past 4 days because the data won't display correctly or not at all for the right day. It was all great until now.

The sock works well but the camera is a waste of money. The background sounds feature doesn't work half the time. So it's not reliable at night when I'm sleeping waiting to be awaken when my baby starts to fuss. They majority of the time when I wake up there is no background noise playing on my phone. Therefore, I have to set up another camera to use to monitor at night. For the price of the two products, there really shouldn't be any issues and this is just one of many issues I have ran into.

Plays a full volume jingle when the owlet is getting low on battery with no way to turn it off now. Mine is getting a little old and can't make it though the night without this happening so I have to keep the app uninstalled. Very annoying. How about a setting for this huh? To be clear, the owlet is awesome. And the base station doesn't do this so I just leave the app uninstalled and rely on the base station for notifications.

It worked great the first 3 months, then out of blue I have to keep reconnecting the camera up to 3 times a day. I've talked to support, and they just make me go through the same reconnecting steps over and over again. I really liked this camera at first but it really turned out to be a waste of money. For the past 4 days the camera won't connect AT ALL. And because of this I'm not sleeping. I am making the switch to Miku, hoping it will go better.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Base is extremely difficult to set up even if you have an iPhone. I had to contact customer support for over 2 hours and still no one could help. When base finally did pair with my home wifi it barely worked. Always loses signal and woke us up because the sock couldn't find the base. A waste of time, money and aggravation. Great idea, friendly customer service when available, horrible product and worse app.

This app is super buggy. Every night when we put our daughter's sock on, we turn the base station on and open the app to make sure it's connected to the base station and displaying readings. It often takes several minutes to connect to the base station. And sometimes I have to close out of the app and clear my cache multiple times before successfully getting it to load my baby's data. It shouldn't be this hard to get the information I need to make sure she's okay. It's extremely frustrating.

Yet another update has made it so that I can't connect to my Owlet. I have tried repairing the camera several times only for it to work for a minute, and then quit. We thought getting the best WiFi would help, but the Owlet still shows my WiFi as "Disconnected," or, "Poor." When I lay my son down for a nap, it would be nice to not have to risk waking him up with the obnoxiously loud "Ready To Pair," sound that occurs several times after several failed attempts.

I spent a lot of money on this product, the sock and camera. I was so excited, and really really was hopeful. I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1, simply because it worked pretty well the first 4 months. Then the sock stopped working properly, so we stopped using it and got rid of it. Then the camera promptly went out as well. Now for 3 months I've been having the worst time with the camera and I am ticked. It never connects or shows temp and is delayed when it does work. Very DISAPPOINTED.

Easily hands down the WORST app experience ever. It does nothing but freeze. This happens on my up-to-date Android phone, tablet, Chromebook, you name it... also on my wife's iPhone, thought not as much. This app and device is horrible. Also - FWIW, I work in IT, so I am no stranger to troubleshooting. All of the issues stem from the app development and the engineers that have no idea what they're doing. Don't buy the Owlet cam, it's worthless.

So the video quality is great, I love that I can use my phone and be at work to check in on him when he's napping. But when I open the app to check on him, sometimes the video doesn't load, so I have to close the app, open it again and then the video works. For what its worth you would think they could fix that. But if you dont mind open and closing the app every time you want to check on your little one and it logging you out sometimes, then your good.

Update: I have upgraded internet speed and the camera cuts out at least once or twice a week for a few hours at a time. There is no explanation for this. Also, I really wish it would run in a smaller box on my screen at all times as an option. Next, I would like to see notification improvements, I would like the option to make my phone actually scream at me when the temperature changes or the baby screams. This app gets 2 stars from me.

Update: app still sucks, still no movement or sound notifications from the camera. You know what's a bad idea? Releasing a monitoring camera and app that doesn't, you know, actually monitor the baby or provide audio/visual notifications. The video image is GREAT quality and very clear but it disconnects often and cannot record moments like when our baby first recognized us coming to get her up... our other camera did! We're no longer using the camera, but the sock is still great 6 months in!
