📖 Pangobooks has made it EASY for me to buy used books at a discounted price! You can also sell your surplus to make room another great read. You can browse for books using any criteria you want. You can search by title, author, or keywords! If you prefer a more open-ended browsing experience, you can search by genre. (PangoBooks also makes it easy for anyone to start a book reselling side hustle if desired!) However, this is definitely a go-to if you're mainly focused on buying books like me!
Good app for finding great deals on books. The UI is a little wonky, though. Example: you find a book you like, open up its page, and then want to see what else that seller has available. You click onto the Seller's page and then try to go back to the original book you looked at. Instead of going to the first book, you get put back all the way to the search results. it makes it hard to keep what you're looking at in order.
Loving this platform for reselling books. It's easy to buy and sell. They explain clearly how to print and label your shipments. The issue I have is the app can be glitchy. Menus come up blank, I have to restart app multiple times. Also I had an issue where a purchase didn't show up but I was charged. What happened is someone else checked out right before I did but the system let me buy still. I had to pull the thread to make sure I got refunded otherwise the AI Bot assumes I bought as a guest.
Pango is a great way to sell used books. You can use a computer to buy from Pango, but you can only list through the app. I would give it 5 stars, except the process for grouping your books onto "shelves" is awkward. Once you figure it out, you can make it work, but it could be more intuitive. I recommend this app.
personally, as someone who both buys and sells books on here, it's a great app. I've gotten many books in good quality with all the sellers being incredibly kind and helpful and have cleared out some of my old books just as easily as well. I'm incredibly grateful to have found the app because it makes getting the books I want affordable and easy while also allowing me to get some money back while making space on my shelves just as easily.
I've only bought books from multiple sellers, so my experience is as a buyer only. So far it has been running smoothly, and no problems with the app itself. I can also see when the seller has been active, when the books have been shipped and tracking. There's discounts, great communication and a vast variety of options. I've recommended this app to my friends because I love it and maybe a little addicted 📚
** The cart was easier to read/assess prior to this recent update. The different sellers are no longer as clearly differentiated which does not help when reviewing possible purchases ** I love this app. It is a great reader community. I have had a lot of success with the sellers. The books come as advertised, very often packaged so wonderfully. The app is easily navigable but I did prefer the prior "button esq" layout and format. This new stream lined appearance is not as easy to utilize quick
I hardly ever leave reviews unless I truly believe in something. I LOVE this app. It is the best community for buying and selling books and interacting with fellow book lovers. I can always find a good deal and the owners really give back to their community. As a teacher, the Pango Loves Teachers really means a lot to me! I can't emphasize enough, this app is the only book-buying app for me!
My go-to for buying books second hand. Sellers all post pictures of the books they are selling and after 15 orders from all different sellers everything looks exactly as pictured. I have also found a lot of signed and special edition books. Anytime a book I ordered did not ship within 2 days the customer service reps followed up with me and the seller which is great! Only negative is the app is slow to load different pages, if you want to see a sellers page you will often have to refresh.
Pango is so easy to buy and sell. They take care of the shipping charges with the buyer, and it's more than reasonable! As a seller, all you have to do is print the label provided and pop the book in the mail. I had one book that I bought that never shipped. Pango refunded my account before I even asked. They track every step in the process with the seller and provide excellent communication for tracking.
Don't waste your time. I was locked out of my account after they got all my info after making a sale. No problem before that. Very suspicious. app isn't android friendly either. support is apparently non existent and you'll be directed to a bot and told a human will reach out in 24 hours. That was after my 2nd attempt of contacting them on this. 1st time I contacted them yesterday I got no response. should've went with the competition but thought I'd give this a try instead.
It's always a great transaction. However, the app itself doesn't want to open a lot of times or will just freeze. One thing that bothers me is clicking on a book that says it's 3 dollars, for example, but when opened, it's 7 dollars... not cool. I don't understand why that happens, but overall, it's definitely worth searching on. You have to weed out the books that you are actually saving money on vs. just buying brand new once shipping is added.
I just discovered this app and I'm so glad I did. Super easy to use and the first "marketplace" where I felt comfortable enough to attempt to sell anything. The seller dashboard is clean and easy to navigate, and listing items is a breeze. Buying items is simple and fun. The only issue I have, and it just started, is a bug that closes the app when I try to click on notifications. Even that doesn't stop this from being a go to for me to find or sell books. Update: glitch was fixed the same day
I've only been using PangoBooks through the app, and it works pretty well! I only purchase books from it, so I'm not sure how well it works on the sellers side. Sometimes it can run slow so you have to be patient with certain parts. If you're looking through pictures of a book by a specific seller, the little dots under the pic don't always line up with the pic you've scrolled on. Other than that, it works well!
Great way to find used books! I have enjoyed purchasing books using the app. I do feel like it can be slow in responding to the user's requests. When toggling between searching titles or authors there is a lag in time when it responds. Also it seems to try to keep searching when you are at the end of the result list. Which gives you the idea more may appear. But it just keeps with the circle image at the bottom of the page. Not sure if that is due to app needing an update or what.
I want to love this app, I really do, as I believe in this emerging platform and it's growing potential. Otherwise I wouldn't have over 800+ books listed. The listing, pay outs, and messaging system could not be any more rudimentary and that is what I love so much about it. But the app itself runs so slow that it often times becomes a source of frustration. The camera glitches are the worst I've ever seen and it can be very time consuming. I really hope this is fixed in the near future.
Yes, awful, at least for an android. I don't understand why it's an app not made for different phones. Every time I open it, it says it needs to update (even though it doesn't), runs slow, hard to go between pages. I usually use the website to search for items. But I can't figure out how to list books on the website, so I use the app for that. Honestly, I only sell newer books now bc it's easier to take them to a used book store. I do like it for purchasing books I can't find locally.
Love the app! It's easy to use and the seller dashboard is intuitive and easy to navigate. It's also very easy to list books, keep track of orders, and convert shipping labels into QR codes. My one piece of feedback is this: if an order is processed without any issues and the customer fails to leave a rating, the system should automatically rate the seller 5 stars. Mercari automatically rates a seller after 3 days if the customer doesn't, and I would love to see this implemented at Pango Books.
Great app for selling and buying. Really easy process to list things. Very easy to buy things as well, lots of great deals on the website. Really nice to see other people buying paper books. Suggestion to improve the app is that the buttons can be really sensitive. Sometimes I click things and don't mean to. Also when you click your own listing, it records it as a new view.
I absolutely love Pango! My only complaints are that the app will take forever to load upon initially opening & sometimes it seems to kind of glitch and hesitate when you are trying to open a specific listing. It definitely has room to improve as far as loading times and numerous glitches. I still love Pango though and would recommend it to anyone. I would also suggest that they make it possible to delete multiple books out of your cart at once instead of having to go through individually.
