There needs to be better app controls while casting. There is no "skip intro", "next episode" or "skip ad" while casting to a TV. I paid for ad free and it's still giving me ads. What an absolute scam Paramount+ is. I've also noticed shows under "keep watching" that I've never watched. No one else shares my account so I should be the only person able to access it

Poor catalog of movies and shows; Streaming issues (when no such issues with other streaming apps); Can't use it while abroad on holiday, even in countries where it's available otherwise. Poor service, poor apps. I got it on discount and I still think it's not worth even the discounted price - definitely doesn't worth the full price and I'll won't be renewing for sure - the only reason I'm not canceling it now is that I've paid the subscription up to the end of year, so to avoid "tech" issues.
Used to be okay, but now the more expensive "ad free" option is chock full of ads. If you complain, they claim these unskippable ads are for the benefit of the customers. Not sure which customers have been begging to be inundated with ads, but if you don't want to sit through more ads than actual content, you'll want a different streaming service.
Parental controls are very limited. There are only two options for kids age ranges. Both too low for teens. You can set up a pin number to watch shows based on age restriction, which is helpful. However, I want to be able to restrict my teens profiles from seeing 18+ content on their home page, not just have it locked by a pin. For example, I do not want "Naked Dating" being advertised to my teens on their home page. Netflix have the best parental controls. Also subtitles are poor on this app.
Great selection of content spoiled by a poor app experience. Most of the time, the app fails to remember where I left off and starts at the beginning. I downloaded content for a flight recently, but the video crashed in offline mode. Playback frequently buffers despite being on a gigabit connection, and no other streaming apps have the same issue.
Absolutely terrible experience on Shield TV. The interface is so slow and clunky, the forced previews exacerbate matters. It's like wading through mud to find what you want. When you do find something, the stream can take up to a minute to begin where I'm then presented with an unwatchable stuttery presentation. If I haven't given up on watching due to having a moderate level of standards, don't worry - the app will eventually crash itself out to the home screen. It's the worst.
Trying to watch Halo, and none of the foreign languages are subtitled. The only option is to turn on full SDH subtitles. It's amazing that the show has been published without subtitles for non-English languages. Having to turn on full SDH subtitles just to understand what's being said is like something from 1990s DVDs. Absolutely terrible.
some great content IF you can get the app to work properly! it is not compatible with TCL TVs. constant lagging, freezing, audio & visual out of sync and it likes to exit a show on a whim. I'm over paying $11pm for 4 episodes of the few shows I watch then to have them pause said shows for 3 weeks (twice its happened) wasting my months subscription! totally frustrated and over it.
Okay, basic options. Like every other streaming app, needs an "already watched" option to stop showing same 5 blockbuster/trending shows and hiding the ones you haven't seen. Also needs a playback speed adjuster. I can't watch people talk in slow motion sir. I have things to do.
Awful APP, so many issues. The latest is listing duplications of every episode of a season, so when on autoplay, you have to forward through the same episode of the show you just seen (NCIS season 12 & 13). Worse than that, season 14 has switched to another language entirely, despite correct settings/being set to English (and English being the only available option in settings anyway!). Utterly bizarre. No other shows, etc, just that season or that show. Support are useless, don't help.
Edit: 6 weeks later still the WORST APP EVER, got it to watch South Park, can't really watch anything every time I try it starts loading and after a minute says "Something went wrong. Please try again later " SOMETHING...what? who knows, the internet connection is fine. Everything else works fine. Like the idiot I am, I paid for a full year(cheaper) great deal I got. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. It's not worth it don't make the same mistakes I made. Avoid. Won't be able to watch anything anyway.
not worth what I paid for it. one of the worst apps I have come across for streaming. for some reason this latest iteration refuses to open without issues, stays stuck on the paramount screen and I have to close ,clear the Cache, force stop clear the cache again over and over before it decides to work. its an effing PITA. There's no rhyme or reason to it either, sometimes opening it from the app details works, other times from the play store and once in 15 times it just works. frustrating
Ordered this service for the high stock of paw patrol, only for none of the titles to even 'be available'. When one does play once in a while, it doesn't even play the next, it just goes back to the main menu. Stuff this I'm sick of trying to get it to work we'll just put up with having three seasons on Netflix. At least their platform works properly
Unable to unsubscribe. I go the the app, it says please return to app or platform where you subscribed. go to browser and it takes to you to app. logged in via PC and cant sign in and no password reset email sent. I understand the motive to make it difficult to leave the platform I just didnt expect it from a"mainstream" service like Paramount, but my mistake for thinking they have ethics.
As context, I have waited over a month before reviewing and followed the advice of their customer support. This is easily one of the worst media apps I have used. I am able to stream programmes when on a secure WiFi connection, but streaming elsewhere is a loss. Downloads don't seem to work at all. I have tried restarting and reloading the app, downloaded programmes on various connections and still hasn't worked. I won't be renewing, something to put down to experience.
uses an inordinate amount of data. I think im likely going to cancel this subscription and order through Prime as it uses 1/8 of the data. Too bad as I like your shows. good thing I have a 7 day trial. This is stupid. Update. no, I'm not calling you. Calling isn't going to make the app suddenly have more settings than just subtitles on or off. Or make it use less data. What a joke.
While the content on paramount+ is great, this app is one of the worst out there. They have no idea how to handle a lack of Internet connection, and if I ever *dare* to forget to disconnect my VPN (necessary for work), it simply deletes all my downloads. It also fails to present episodes in chronological order, with no sequence numbers, instead choosing download order, which is random.
Fails to open, Constantly stops working, can't view downloads unless you have reception to open the app first, uses data even to watch downloads. Useless App. 8mths later: nothing has changed. Still the worst app I have ever downloaded. If it weren't for the content I'd have deleted the day after downloading. Fails to open, fails to download, need wifi to open the app the watch downloads.
I do really enjoy the content on Paramount+, but that alone does not make me a happy customer. I subscribe to many other streaming services, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and YouTube, and all of them run just fine on my LG Smart TV. The Paramount+ app is very slow in loading, quite Lagging in response time and there are always issues with video and audio quality. I never have these issues with any other streaming service. Paramount+ Customer support was a waste of time. Beware of these issue
one of the crappest video streaming apps I've ever used. function of the app on mobile is horrible. the whole point of downloading shows is to watch them when you have no signal. the app does not open most of the time, You would expect the app to load & say"you have no signal - here are your downloads"..... but no, just "unexpected error" - AMATEUR I use the app for star trek content - and the difference in tech and utility is stark.
