I don't know why I expected something from the public school system to actually work. App refuses to save login credentials even though the option to save them is selected. After logging in, I can access NOTHING because there is a field trip permission slip that is impossible to sign. The app crashes after 3-4 failed attempts and says "ParentVue closed because this app has a bug". Won't let you bypass the permission slip and won't let you sign it. If I could give negative stars, I would.

DO NOT GET THIS APP!! It is TERRIBLE! I can't even get past the 1st step. When I open it & swipe left on the screen, this message pops up: "errorjava.io.IOException: imtw: UNAVAILABLE." AND nothing shows under "school districts near your location," even though I have no settings prevent it from seeing my location. The URL thing won't work either & I have tried every URL I can think of/find. IT WON'T EVEN LET ME DELETE IT!! Fix all that, then you'll have a WAY better rating & WAY more downloads.

The app is okay. The reason for this review is something changed in the last couple of weeks where it no longer saves my credentials on the login screen. extremely annoying as I have to go into my keypass app and pull out the username and password each time. it would be great if you could save credentials or use biometrics anything other than old-fashioned username and password.

Terrible. I have to use this to sign up for conferences and I can't even log in. The sign in works fine through the link from the school app but its doesn't have the full options. For the full options I have to use this specific app and I can't even access it. Trying to reset the password to see if that fixes it but it won't even send me the temp password to try that process. Been trying to log on for 30 minutes and am near tears. I can normally handle tech. Why is this so hard to use????

HORRIBLE! Just another example of a company pushing an app out and letting us be the beta testers. What's more telling is the lack of response from the developer. Right after logging in for the first time, I switched apps to check a notification I got. When switching back, the app crashed and closed. I reopen, navigated to the school calendar and looked a few months out. Once finished, I clicked the "Home" button, upper-right, and was immediately logged out. Tried again, same result.

Update 11/26/24: continues to be terrible I have not been able to get in the app to send emails to teachers for over 1 month. Just gives a blank page with student list when you try. Very frustrating when trying to communicate with teachers. The app is not intuitive or user friendly. Can be hard to find what you are looking for at times. Not easy to send emails to teachers. Constantly having issues and the app shuts down when trying to send emails or do much of anything in the app.

I've used this app for several years now, and it has always been reliable, but recent changes have caused the app to fail. It opens like normal and allows me to put in my login information, but when I hit login, it spins for a minute then goes back to the login like nothing has happened. I have uninstalled twice and reinstalled. I verified my login information on the website. At this point, I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Absolutely awful. Navigation is clunky, and constantly breaks. For example: tap on a teacher name in the calendar view for a day's schedule to send an email, then select Gmail to open the link: you get a new email to write, but an empty "to:" field. Go back to PV to try again, and the link is now broken; even the refresh links don't work. There's no other way to copy the email address from within the app. It feels like a cheap web app, not native, but like it's based on an early 2000s website.

I have not been able to send or reply to any email all year long. I can read them and type them but as soon as I hit send I get an error message. I have uninstalled the app multiple times and it hasn't fixed it. I have searched the error and cannot find any solution for it. The error message I keep getting is '<', hexadecimal value 0x3c, is an invalid attribute character. Line 11, position 237

Oct 2024 - terrible. I get notifications and press them and I always still have to log in. I don't understand if I have the app on my phone why it just automatically won't open to the thing I'm being notified about. Very frustrating and difficult to manage and there's so many subcategories it's not clear and the information that I seek is not as readily findable. This program is terrible but unfortunately, my kids' Middle School and High School use it. Update Nov 2025 - same! UGH!!!!

Won't save login credentials, even when boxes are selected for specifically that. 30-40 notification a day, even those preferences have been updated to not receive notifications. Can't bulk delete emails from inbox on app, so have to open each one to move to trash. Overall, just really clumsy and I have used it for about 10 years.

This app is such garbage. The navigation makes no sense. I just try to go back to the list of classes, and I'm brought ALL the way back out. It also logs me out while still using it. Teachers apparently can use it in different ways, so what is shown varies from subject to subject. Sometimes I have to look for "missing assignments", sometimes it's a 0% assignment. The app has great potential, but isn't there yet.

Message i get... App has a bug!! Developers please fix this. Going into another school year with an app that does not work! Horrible app. Teachers can't get my attachments. I get email before it comes through app. It's not user friendly at all. I prefer class dojo. Wish schools would move to another platform. Please FIX the issues already!! I can't send messages without an error message.

It is worse now..now I can't even get to my kids' info. I login and it closes the app. Please fix as I have two kids in high school and depend on this for alerts and grades. Same issue as Jon on here. Stuck in an endless loop of login, pick my student, back to login screen. Have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Contacted district. Nothing will make it work. It was working fine and I was getting alerts and everything during distance learning. Wish they would fix it.

This app is horrible, I only use it because it is used by my kids' school district. It crashes often, the email function almost never works properly- I've never been able to download an attachment, I'm often unable to send emails on it too. And this has been going on for 2-3 years now - on would think they would have sorted out these bugs by now!!

This app is not easy to use. Emails are impossible to send because it has errors of hexidecimal (<) that is not entered in the email text. Because of this, I am not able to send emails to the teacher through this app. If I look at my child's grades and then click a specific class, the session is lost and I get an error and can't see their grades anymore until I log off and try again.

App stopped sending emails to my yahoo, despite having all notification boxes selected correctly. Then messages directly in the app are now blank with zero text, so I can see sender/title, but no actual message. I've uninstalled/reinstalled with zero change. Why the 1 star rating? I've emailed the developer contact for over a week, including screenshots, with ZERO response. I'm fine if you have a glitch, it happens in tech, but the lack of customer service is appalling.

It won't even open the inbox to see new messages now. Just stays on loading then says app has failed. It also stopped sending notifications to my email when I have a new message. So now I can't see messages from teachers at all. Came here to see if there was an update and nothing. Not sure what I'm supposed to do since this is the only way messages are sent from the school now. This app always has problems but this is the worst I've seen. This needs to get fixed ASAP!

This app used to be great and it was easy to use especially for checking grades. The updates that took place during the fall semester of 2022 have made this app total garbage. It's so difficult to navigate through the grades and the different classes especially for my high schooler. I honestly prefer to just login on the computer. No idea why they made these changes but I wish they'd revert back to the way it was.

The app would not allow me to send an email I drafted in my browser. I only downloaded the app because the browser would not let me send the email. When I attempted to compose a new email, it would only allow me to select a from a list of teachers for the son I was not sending an email on behalf of. There are 2 buttons on the bottom of the compose message window that both are labeled trash but have different icons. Lots of issues with this app.
