All I want from the app is a giant list of every panel and their summaries. I will read every single one of those summaries (assuming a 3-day pass) and then work around the panels (and competitions etc) that I find interesting. The app just dumps me at the schedule, and wants me to click into every panel once filtered. I ain't doing that. Bring back the paper schedule please.
Its quite basic. Improvements - When you favourite its scrolls to top of page (v. annoying) - Have better filters for type: "Register", "Peruse", "Play", "Watch", "Meet", and "Listen" for easier nav - filtering by locale not helpful - Also, display on panels - Events to have 3 states - Not Selected -> Shortlisted, Scheduled - b/c seeing everything hurts brains. - Allow for notification per session, not globally - Stretch: Sharable with friends + panel outline for friend schedule + friends list
A lot of events didn't come up in search for related terms. I'd search for a game and find out later there were loads more things happening with those games/franchises. Ended up missing lots of things due to this. Has some good elements in the app but needs notable work.
Creating a profile wasn't possible as no email is sent until your badge is registered!!! So not a chance of pre planning your day prior to the event if you are picking up your badge. App riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, many entries for panels lacking information of who is featured in the event, even the countdown timer is for the END of PAX not the start.. hype should be for the event itself not it's close.
clunky app this year unfortunately. XP scanner has frozen multiple times and crashed the app. XP trophies should have hints according to the description which isn't there. The schedule resets to the beginning of the day each time you pick an item for your schedule, the list goes on. Yep its all QoL stuff and the PAX app is never perfect but this year has been the most annoying experience.
old app let me set notifications per event not just per schedule. some events I don't care much about and some I care a lot about and want to set multiple alarms. otherwise, I guess the app is straight forward and works well.
My only complaint so far is that the app didn't auto update for the 2025 version. Google play store page had "Uninstall" and "Open" buttons, but app opened the 2024 version that was on my phone. Had to u install to force the new one
i activated my badge on the previous update and didn't get the 2025 schedule wondering why I noticed the app was updated but I didn't have an update button and saw a review comparing about having to uninstall and reinstall to get the new update but now I can't even log into my account on the app please have a fix for this before pax next weekend I just keep getting login errors when it asks me to put in the code that's sent to my email edit it took me an hour but I fixed it so 3 stars now
App didn't automatically update to the 2025 schedule - had to uninstall and reinstall. Schedule section is unintuitive - the way it's categorised makes it difficult to understand at a glance what item is what (play vs talk) and what it's about.
I can't read white text on black background, and can't find a way to switch this to a light mode? This means the app is basically unusable for me :(
I like the new app, however I have found a bug that is frustrating to deal with. Sometimes when you add something to your schedule it sends you back to the start of the page.
adding event to schedule makes the list jump right to the start, horrible UX

every time I add something to my schedule, it scrolls all the way to the beginning again to show me an ad
Contains ads. No light mode option.
could have more helpful links or detail about the room / stall number that something relates to.
not the easiest app to use
worked well for the event.
