Useless. customer support is the worst. they claim to have solved the issue but didn't and then just ghost you. simply can't use the app all of a sudden. *edit 2: I added the ticket number and still no reply. so publicly they act as if they help you, but in reality 0 help.*edit3: two months later still no solution and helpdesk isn't answering anymore. horrible service. *edit4: untrue. mails from 23/1, 27/1, 3/2, 11/2 all haven't been answered by you after I told you the "solution" didn't work.
Over the past months, half of payments to merchants just give the 'something went wrong' message. Of course not mentioned in errors. Merchants themselves are starting to recommend using bank apps as seemingly they see it regularly. No problems when paying same merchant with bank app.
Terrible. After update I can't even login anymore. It tells me my phone number is already in use for a different account (duh) but doesn't allow an option for logging in as preexisting user. And to think that Belgium is trying to lead in the field of e-banking or electronic identities... Take notes from the Nordics.
The app has become totally useless with the latest update. It is now impossible to pay a contact remotely. Reverting to cash, as in the old days.
Horrible. It gives message that account is blocked. But thereafter no explanation on why it is blocked, what to do to de-block. Embarrassing experience.
all of a sudden my account is blocked (no explanation). I get two buttons: OK or contact Support. OK should reset and restart, but has no effect. Contact Support leads me to a list that does not contain my problem and no means to actually contact Support. Resolved after support reacted to this review, but had to reinstall and reinitialise the app as reset did not work.
sometimes it bugs when paying with the QR code. even though it's the latest version, but other than that it's fine
Works always without a failure. The only condition is a good network connection. 👌👍
2025-12: been working fine the last 2 years. bringing it back to 4 stars 2023-03; update: onboarding flow to updated app account fails with no explanation. Swapping between sms app and Payconiq app breaks the onboarding flow, have to restart the flow. And in the end I tried too many times, have to wait 24 hours, while WORST OF ALL the app refuses to function in the old way. What a poor poor user experience. Don't rely on this to pay, use a competitor!?
Paying contacts no longer possible. App looses the functionality I most frequently used.
This new "improved" app is just complicated frustrating mess. With the old Bancontact app all I needed to do was add my card and pay, simple. This new app forces me to jump a lot of hoops to open an account and give them my data, only to end up not even able to use it. When I try to add a card it tells me "payment failed". I guess I have no choice but to use a card reader to even pay small sub 25€ transactions... Simply annoying.
Update: I was able to link another bank's account. However, I was asked more identity documents. Fair. It took 3 months to verify details! Three! Unacceptable. I have been using this app flawlessly for years. Suddenly, it now requires Linking of Bank Account for 'all features'. ING banking app does not allow this operation. So, now I am stuck at a loop. Cannot use Payconiq just with my card.
I have entered 3 times a wrong code. That's on me for not remembering it. The pop up said to contact customer support. I went to the website, no way of contact other than the option complaints. However in the section FAQ it says to reset the app in the app settings. But I'm logged out of the app and there is no settings button to be found.
Not sure if the tech team reads the users' feedbacks. Like other people mentioned, the app is not working for some "not true" security reason. It says the 'USB debugging" under "developer options" needs to be off which. This was done but nothing works. You might want to have a look at it seriously or else people will start removing your app. I have reported another issue in the past (over a month ago) with the hope to get some feedback but it seems like you are too busy to reply!!!
payconiq used to be a great app until it was taken over by bancontact now it requires you to also link your bank card using an annoying external bank device,but it still also links to your bank account ? why ? if you want to pay a contact, you can only use the linked bank account, but if you pay in a store, you can use the linked card ? this is confusing also, the app goes slower than the old payQ app and the onboarding is complex, people get stuck in a loop and don't want to use it anymore
Usually does not work. Very often it simply sais "Transaction failed" without any explanation. Then I have to find my wallet, take out the card, and then the contactless payment goes without problem. instead of making it easier to pay, the application makes it more difficult. Pretty useless. I have to change to a bank that supports Google Pay...
In the beginning it worked fine and I loved using it because it was really handy. But suddenly more than a week ago it doesnt work anymore. It forgot my bankcard and when I want to create it again it keeps giving "This action is currently not possible because the server cannot be reached. please try again later" as pop up. I understand that sometimes things can happen, but not when it takes like forever to fix it. I hope it will be fixed soon, then I'll change my review...
Pay'nfull (is the real name of this) application since rebranding! Was working fine before! Most of the time the first transaction finishes with an error than if you want to retry it says other transaction is still in progress. If the WiFi is on it says offline, no internet connection! Amateurism! Update: Reinstalled the app but I cannot even add my bank card anymore. It always shows an error: "An error occurred. Authentication failed. Please try again." It is total trash!
Once again the app is not working after last update. Not easy neither to find the help desk or get in contact with someone that can help. Probably have to uninstall and go through the all installation again? If you wonder why people are getting aggressive.... is because that kind of thing happens every day many times. Finding something that works properly is getting VERY difficult.
Haven't been able to use the app in the two months that I have been using a new phone. I always get a "there was an error processing your data" message after the 2FA. Worked perfectly on my old phone until support reset my account, even thought I had no new details to provide. The reset did not fix my issue and I haven't heard back from support since. It's been well over two weeks at this point, and it also took them multiple weeks to address my initial report.
