Overall, it's a good launcher. If you use 3 button navigation, the 3rd button (right) won't do anything about 2/3 of the time, which is very annoying. I have to switch back to the Pixel Launcher, then relaunch Pear to get it to work again. Hoping that gets fixed SOON! Otherwise, I wish there was an option to adjust the space between the home screen icons and dock because that's wasted space (esp. if you don't want the arrow). I'd definitely buy the pro version if these fixes/updates are made.
I really like this launcher. It's been giving me exactly what I was looking for. However, I just updated the app today (February 5, 2025,) and there is a problem. All my folders in the app drawer have disappeared! 😞 I have tried restarting my phone, restating the launcher, and even deleting my folders and making new ones, but nothing seems to be working.
Best launcher I could find! No ads, no premium prompts, plenty of customization, and the option to make it look completely stock. You can make it just be a simple home screen with no search bar or anything, but if you prefer that stuff you can still add it. The customization is just great. This app has everything I could ever possibly need in a launcher. Only tiny complaint is more themes would be nice, and I'd like to remove the arrow at the bottom. Great work devs!
I really want to love this, but it is missing one critical feature for me. There is no way to sort folders in the app drawer. Folders appear in the order created. I really need my folders to be sorted alphabetically like the apps are. If you don't care about folder sorting, this launcher is a great choice. It offers a great balance between customization and performance. It is one of the fastest launchers I have used without feeling like I am missing a feature or customization.
Great launcher. I was able to make my new phone work just like my LG worked. One painful issue though is not being able to sort the app folders alphabetically after they're made. I ended up having to recreate all my folders alphabetically. A simple sort button would fix this but ideally being able to drag and drop apps and folders in the app drawer like Smart launcher does it would be ideal.
It's a launcher from the past. The settings and widgets selection look outdated. Even so, on basic use, it does the job enough and that's what matters the most while still looking modern enough today. Very customizable (changing icon and font size, etc.) and fast. It doesn't have some extra features that other launchers have because it's simple and lightweight. If you just need a light launcher while still looking pretty, decent and with customization, this is a very good one to consider.

Very nice and simple, I was able to remake my configuration with another launcher. I just needed a grid for my icons, remove their names, customize icon groups... pear launcher does it with simplicity. I'd suggest to fix the "all app" appearance triggering because it starts even if you touch the very bottom of the phone, a gesture that is reserved for selecting and browsing through all open apps, at least on a pixel :)
After using this as my sole launcher for a few days I noticed this app uses an INSANE amount of battery. My phone has a 15,000mah battery, that's at least three times the normal plus/max version of phones. This will use 30% of my battery overnight with the screen off. that's nearly 5,000mah of usage in 8 hours with the screen off. Uninstalled. Way too much battery usage. AND IT'S AN ADMIN APP? I don't remember giving this app admin privileges.
Nova refuge. Tried several launchers in early 2026 and landed here. I don't know why Pear isn't recommended more often. Seems pretty solid and has legit features in the free version. There are a few minor annoyances but so far nothing to prevent me from recommending this launcher. The app needs a little polish here and there. I will stick with this one for a while and update my review after I've been using the app for at least a few months.
Clean intuitive launcher with lots of useful features. Great options which are intuitive to setup & use, I cannot think of any improvement. Backups. Fewer permissions than most, no internet permission, no trackers reported by Exodus. The best I've used, (and I've tried many over the years). Android 16 on Pixel, and 13 on tablet. Still just as good as ever.
This is usable, but the app drawer swipe gesture often breaks and this doesn't have a proper "Follow system theme" setting. I like the "Stock" search bar in the drawer, but I hate that I can't put the exact same search bar on the desktop/dock. I switched to Octopi Launcher because it feels more modern and it has most of the features I use in Pear.
Looking at so many launchers to move to from Nova, it's reasonable, but the icons are still slightly small, even at 130%, if you reduce the percentage, they are really too tiny! In it's current form it's not good enough, but will keep it on the phone and see what developments are made.
Good enough so far, just buggy. I needed something to replace Nova Launcher, and this almost does, at least the way I use it. Issues: when dark mode is on, can't choose folder icon color on home screen, even if dark mode doesn't apply to folders. With dark mode off, can't change app search background color. It's white, making my icons and text invisible. Keyboard doesn't always appear on app search/home button shortcut. Can't scroll home screens from end to start. App groups break search box.
Good little launcher. Does what I need which is to be a basic launcher with folders. Bought the pro version to support development. To the developers, the thing that bugs me the most is folders can't be renamed after being created and there isn't a way to sort folders. All the apps sort by name if you have that set but the folders do not they are ordered by creation order. If there was an option to rename and reorder folders that would be awesome 👍
i lovee how smooth and fluid everything is. and the fact that i can hide my folders within an app (smart folder) makes my homescreen look clean and aesthetic. the free features are awesome. feature suggestion: It would be awesome to have an alphabet in the right side as an option for the app drawer when you launch it. makes everything easier. thanks!
Switched to pear launcher last night after sticking with my previous launcher for over two years. Already I love how much I can customise it and how good it looks! I love the option to choose the opacity for EVERYTHING as well as changing colours. The functionality is also perfect for me. So far there's nothing I don't like, I would rate this a million stars if I could.
Has potential, but lacks usability and consistency. I tried to separate all Google apps in a group called "Google" but I had no way to hide them from the main group without hiding them also in the Google group. Inconsistent: The main group has a "hide" option, while other groups have "select" options. Hiding from the main group hides in all groups. Another thing: you should not need to go to the desktop and enter many submenus in order to manage drawer app groups and folders. Also other bugs.
Clean and customizable launcher. Used Nova for a long time but this has everything I need plus a bit more. Wish you could organize the apps on any order but the app groups is a great feature to use for right now. Another thing would be able to hide apps in the app groups from each other so I don't always have to have an "All apps" group - similar to the folder setting.
Perfect customization and settings, but battery drain seems worse and has been glitching on S21+. I ended up switching back to One UI and the battery seems to be lasting longer and I stopped getting glitches with the app drawer and other panels freezing. Changing icons also makes them disappear on the home screen. If it was more stable it would be perfect. (Bought pro)
I used to use Zeam Launcher, then Lean Launcher when Zeam couldn't be installed anymore. Now Lean has some issues on recent Android versions, so I've had to go looking for a good, simple launcher that does what I want, and that I can remove the things I don't want. Pear is great. App grid sizes go up plenty high for smartphone-sized screens. App drawer does vertical scrolling. Reasonable file size. If you're looking to replace Lean or Zeam, this is what you're looking for.
