Pepper - Recipes with Friends

This app does not organize and seems to be glitchy. In the 'recipes for you' section, I have made attempts to delete those recipes and they will not go away. I never added those to begin with. Also, when saving my own recipes, I have to save over and over again for them to save in the 'my collection' section. Quite annoying!

Good food recipes, but you can't organize anything. No calender to schedule a meal plan. The list is partnered with instacart, but, you can't just send ingredients from a recipe to ur regular shopping list. You actually have to type everything in, which is a lot of back and forth between recipes and the list. So to actually have an easy list experience with this app, you'll have to use instacart. Seems to be a great social app but not very useful as far as planning anything.

So far, I really love the app. I do think there's room for improvement though. For instance, I wish there were more difficulty levels, such as beginner, etc. I wish there was a feature to filter out based on ingredient, like NO pork or tree buts. You can search based on included, but you can't exclude ingredients. Also, I wish there was a questionnaire to get to know your tastes and skill level to recommend people to follow or recipes for you. Some things to consider adding in the future.

This app is a great concept, can't wait to see what it becomes. The ingredients should have a field to specify form-dried/fresh, diced/chopped. When I add a comma in the ingredient field, it sends me to a new line. You can add ingredients to each step, nice feature. But the list of ingredients doesn't scroll so I can't add all the items to the step. So I removed all ingredients from each step, but there's still an ingredient attached and I can't remove it because the box is already unchecked.

Used to be a great app that I loved but now can't even access my account. I had hundreds of recipes saved. After a update, it force logged me out. Now anytime I click the "Sign In" button it goes to the Sign up/create a new account page instead. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing seems to work and I'm extremely disappointed.

Some of the recipes look sensational, however, the app is very US-centric in that all measurements are imperial (lbs, fl.oz, etc) and Fahrenheit temperatures, with no apparent facility to easily convert to metric and Celsius as other cooking apps are able to do. I assume that any recipes uploaded by "rest of the world" users would cause the opposite problem for US users.

I really like this app, it has nice aesthetics and is easy to use. That said, I really regret there not being an option to switch my language to my native Dutch, as I tend to store my recipes in Dutch (despite preferring my general phone settings in English) I also can't edit my recipes later, which is unfortunate as I sometimes like to make adjustments later.

A good app to find new recipes, but I'm having difficulty adding my personal recipes. I tapped the "done" button while adding a new recipe and my recipe disappeared. I can't find it in my drafts.

This app I originally downloaded after I heard from a food influencer I follow Your Barefoot Neighbor. I really love how many options there are for different foods and drinks with simple directions. It's made planning meals for dinners SO much easier.

for finding recipes, it is great. For saving them, pasting rarely works, which defeats the "easy" part if I have to type everything in.

best app for saving TikTok video recipes. its simple to use and I love the list option. it helps me keep track of what I am making for the week.

This app is awesome, so helpful and helps keep my recipes organized. Love finding new recipes on the app. Highly recommend.

if you don't pay monthly for the app, the you can't look at the recipes that you saved for later, is that right?

not great, wanted to cancel before getting charged. never saw a way to cancel outright. got charged, need my money back. I did delete my acct. please give money back. very deceptive way to charge someone with no real explanation on how to make sure you don't get charged.

I cancelled my subscription within the trial. My PayPal account was charged after I cancelled. I've spent days with email exchanges to get refunded. The rep, who claims to be the CEO but won't provide his/her name, refuses to refund me stating I never cancelled and they never charged PayPal. I sent print screens with Pepper the app listed as the seller via PayPal. I've been accused of lieing, altering docs and creating fake accounts just to get a refund.

they want access to your contacts, and then they want money. it would be cool if they would tell you that it's a paid app

I like that there are so many recipes at your fingertips and different people's notes from that recipe

There is a great variety of recipes to choose from.

It's great to browse but saving things is a mess. The social feel of the app is pretty good and the UI is also decent. I just can't use an app that doesn't let me organize saved items.

not intuitive for me. I'll save a recipe but can't find it in my saved recipes. often, I don't have a photo when I'm typing in a recipe and therefore can't finish it. I won't be renewing.
