Wonderful app. I would really appreciate a setting to allow me to show the cat info first. Right now when I open the app it defaults to dog info, which is useless to me as I don't have a dog. Allowing users to choose which pet they want to be the default would be an excellent addition to the app.

I think most people reviewing this app like the idea, but haven't tried to use it. We travel often with our pets, and live in a disaster-prone area, thought this could be useful info. Every time I've tried to look something up, the app describes the symptoms and then says to call a vet. No meaningful guidance whatsoever. I think the Red Cross is more worried about their liability than giving good advice. Will be deleting and buying a vet tech emergency textbook.

Absolutely love this app and the quizzes that allow you to learn first aid skills. NO ADS WHATSOEVER! Very educational. Highly recommend installing this app! Protect your fur babies today by filling out the emergency vet information for your babies on this app. It's customizable! Big shout out to everyone at American Red Cross for creating this app for FREE! No in app purchases, either 😀

This app is very informative. Included within app is a variety of Important information about keeping your pet healthy. Gives advice on what to do in case of certain situations, many are listed & details are included. From what I can tell it's a free app without any ads thus far which I've been reading different aspects of the app 4 the last 45 minutes& have yet to encounter even 1ad.. That's a huge plus. No issues aside from being able 2 input my puppies age of 5 months they do not have that op

🐈 A great guide for cat and dog basic first aid! 🐕 While not a replacement for proper veterinary care, this app is very well done and easy to follow, full of useful info for dealing with a large variety of problems pet owners might face - with not just facts, but also videos to guide you in performing emergency first aid properly. It even has a place to put your vet's emergency contact number for quick reference, and quizzes so you can test yourself on what you've learned. Highly recommended!

This app is a great resource for owners to know what to do in between the initial injury/illness and getting the pet to medical services. I work in a vet clinic and I am super impressed and have recommended this app (along with the other emergency preparedness apps by red cross) to my coworkers/family/friends.

I am so impressed! I work as a 911 dispatcher and it always pains me that we aren't able to offer much guidance or resources when it comes to pet emergencies. I have shared this with my coworkers as a resource to utilize and pass along when we get those types of calls.

Comprehensive and complete explanation and corresponding images of each procedure. Nice job 👍🏻 Thanks Red Cross! ❌ I wish everyone with a pet would take this course. Maybe animal adoption centers should offer this service to people who adopt or foster.. maybe they slready do .. 🤔 All the best with the course!🙏🏻

I wish the app covered the amount of any given substance that may be dangerous given a dog or cat's size, health status, etc. I understand they don't want to discourage humans from seeking help when they should, though. One thing I do think should be changed: "tylenol/acetaminophen" is listed separately from "pain relievers," and since it comes later alphabetically, a human checking the list of toxic substances could stop at "pain relievers" and never see the information they need.

It's easy reading, with a lot of information about Pet first aid. I like the quizzes you can take, and if you make a mistake on it, you can retake it! I had no idea I could get this app!

Must have app for all of us with pets . It is the most useful app I have and the best of its kind. I learned what's my cats vital signs should be ans how to perform CPR if need arises. Also this app is for both dogs and cat medical emergencies.

Lots of good info, I like the quizzes because you need to have the info already in your mind in an emergency. The quizzes help me make the info ready when needed.

Could have a lot more information on What to do. Most answeres are " take the animal to your vet" that goes without saying to most people. A lot of emergencys occur on a weekend or holiday and many people in rural areas can be 100 miles or more away from the nearest 24 hour veterinary hospital Adding more indepth information would be helpful.

Great guide for cat/dog owners and sitters. Pretty easy to locate information, has a register area so people who find your phone have your pet's emergency info (like if you were in an accident, the first responders can see if your pet needs special Rx) and is a solid tool. Only works for dogs and cats though, so if it's a bird or hampster you wanted to know about, you're out of luck.

This is hands down the best pet app I've ever seen. Every pet parent should have this app. The amount of information and resources in it is astounding, and it's free. I literally tell everyone I know about it. I would give it more stars if I could.

Wow! Love this! I am a certified professional pet sitter... I have the Red Cross Basic First Aid books and CPR cd's for cats and dogs, but this is so handy to have basically the same thing on my phone now, plus the feature of adding pet info of your own.
