The amount of times this app does not let me log in is frustrating. Sometimes it says update the app, check the app store and it is up to date. Other times it says the app needs to be restarted so I close it, clear cache and nothing. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled still nothing. Installed it on another device and same thing. Once you are in it doesn't work with Google play to pay at pump. The only thing that has worked was the carwash but if you can't get into the app then who cares.

Like other people said it's a spinning wheel of nowhere half of the time. I uninstalled the app, re installed, cleared storage and cache. NOTHING. I also get a message that "we are unable to load the app." Sometimes turning data off and on works. Seriously, because of the app it makes me not really use the car wash or pump at any Petro cause other places have at least a better working app. If I have to contact customer service for things like this, is that even considered good customer service?

every time I go to use the app it either closes down on me, or doesn't let me use my password. I haven't changed it and even saved it through finger print. It is very frustrating when I am trying to be quick in line and have lost points not being able to use the app!

the app constantly fails. Most of the time it tells me that it needs to restart; but still it fails to work after that. I've tried clearing the cache, updating, reinstalling, and restarting - nothing works. This app simply does not work. This seems like a scam, because I'm wasting my money refueling at their gas stations without the perks of their loyalty program. I can't even get a physical card to use instead of the app. What's the point?!?

When it works it's fine, but it's hit or miss if you can even log in. currently stuck in hey the app needs to restart loop. reinstalled / cleared cache / restarted phone / made sure app is up to date. Login issues happen often enough for a variety of reasons/issues. I buy a season pass for carwashes and it's tough to use if I can't even get in the app.

Terrible app reliability. Whenever I go to the gas station either to fill the gas or to do a car wash and try to use the options in the app most of the time it says oh sorry there's something wrong on our end it's not your fault. Imagine this, that you are standing in a queue in a car wash and they are 10 cars behind you and you simply cannot even log in. reloading your card crashes too

If you manage to open the app you are lucky!! Every couple weeks, or with every new update, the app will crash and it will either say something went wrong on our end, or the app needs to be restarted , or just won't login. Issue started again on Feb 5th and unfortunately carried into Feb 7th and for 2 2 days and counting, the app isn't working.

From last 2-3 days, I've been having trouble with the app. After the update, I'm experiencing repeated login issues, which is really frustrating 😕. The app tells me to update it, but it's already up-to-date in the app store. It also suggests restarting the app, but that doesn't fix the problem. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled it, but nothing's worked so far.How's that? Should I suggest some troubleshooting steps?

Worst app ever for a huge company like this. Unstable server, always log user out and user has hard time to log back in. Could not fetch my loyalty card, car wash card, and payment card every single time after being logged out. It's ultra frustrating and giving user anxiety especially when you line up 30min for a car wash, and when it's your turn, the app doesn't work. an app that doesn't make your life easier but brings you worrisome, anxiety and frustration.

Get your login issue fixed! From the number of reviews I see here with people having the same issue, it's very clear you have an extremely incompetent team working on the app! It's absolutely frustrating and ridiculous at this point that I'm questioning why even have the app installed when I cant use it. Even trying to fuel from the app doesn't work. It always shows your 0.1 km away from the station. Pathetic!

Useless and keeps shutting down. sometimes I have a serious thought that this app is causing more loss to the Petro Canada as a whole than the business it's making. Definitely not reliable as it keeps telling "Hey! the app needs to be restarted! We'll shut down, you can start it up again" why not.. just take it off entirely from Play store itself

It was never perfect but used to work most of the time, now won't let me log in , just shows " Hey, this app needs to be restarted! we'll shut down, you can start it up again". Already tried deleting it and re- installing it, cleared data, cache etc. Tried it on 2 other devices, S22 ultra & google pixel 10, it's the same. Time to find new coders guys. Pretty poor app for a big corporation. Lost tons of points. At this point we might as well look for other gas stations they all offer points.

2/6/2026 no improvement to the app whatsoever. they encourage you to use the app, but is down half the time. Still no improvement to the app. since the update, it's been so glitchy you never know if the app is going to work sitting in the line. It's has not been working for days now. It will not load even after uninstall, restarting. It kept saying something went wrong... Yes, something is wrong, please fix it.

The pay at the pump is nice when the app works, but it seems whenever I try to use it, it needs to restart and tells me every time I try to log in. On top of that, my points have been stolen twice already. So when I want to use the points, the app doesn't work, but someone else can easily steal my points at any point apparently.

2026 Update: still works like garbage (if it even works). I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app multiple times, but it still won't let me sign in. Works inconsistently and is not reliable. Having to repeatedly make adjustments to get it to work properly is incredibly annoying. I'd rather take my business elsewhere.

I can almost never sign into the app!! Password or fingerprints. Time against DN again!! I was ready to head to the car wash seeing there wasn't a line up. Having trouble logging in... and three cars pulled into the car wash line. Still couldn't log in. One of the worse apps ever and with an oil company that has a lot of resources too. Ridiculous.

I keep getting the "Hey, the app needs to be restarted! We'll shut it down, you can start it up again" error message. So I can't login even after uninstall, reinstalling, clearing cache, changing password. All of it. Total garbage app. And I've been hacked 2 or 3 times now despite changing my password numerous times. Time to reinvent your program and app I think. Or maybe it's time I start going to another gas station.

app crashes too often. I even restarted my phone. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. cleared the cached memory. don't know what else to try. all my cards are associated to the app. I don't carry the physical cards anymore. looks like I may have to. app is inconvenient, inconsistent . unreliable. developers please fix this.

This app is incredibly frustrating. It constantly signs me out on its own, and when I try to log back in, it just crashes immediately. Well 4 years later and zero improvement to this app. In fact, it's worse if that's possible. Error pop up says Hey, we have to close the app, try again. Cannot sign in. Have deinstalled and reinstalled and nothing works. Even tried the web version and it just spins. Requested a password reset and didn't even get the email! This company makes billions of dollars and can't put out a decent app. Time to switch stations. I'm done.
