Fantastic. So useful. I check this app every time I'm about to leave the house. scince installing, I have definitely saved a lot of money on fuel. Driving, I might see cheap fuel, so I fill up. Cool. BUT....., There might be cheaper fuel just a little further down the road, and I won't miss it with this app. I've only had PetrolSpy for a couple of months but I've already saved hundreds of dollars. Saving $10 - $20 a tank is not uncommon.

Has been very reliable during multiple trips around Australia. But it doesn't have any facility to let them know when it is missing a servo. I recently filled up at one that didn't appear, and it was cheaper than those that did! Okay, I used the email listed here in the store, but you'd think there'd be a link in the app.

I was happy with the app until today when I clicked on one of the pop-up ads in error and it attempted to install some software on my phone. The software it was attempting to install had similar Graphics to software already on my phone (for PDFs) but it was not from the same developer. The messaging was designed to mislead me into thinking that existing software needed an upgrade.

The last few days I'm getting error messages, saying "Error retrieving search results" when searching for a location. If it does show a location, I'm often getting an error message saying it can't update, move map to reload - but then it doesn't. Is the app having some technical difficulties?

Occasionally, it mightn't be worth it to go out of your way in terms of distance, depending on how much petty you need. It is good to have that option though. Full tank is probably worth it. My XR5 uses Premium so... 😂 I was on OTR auto pilot. Just had to break the habit. Great App. Cheers 🥂

Great free app. I've always found the prices are accurate. The link to navigation is very handy if the cheapest fuel is at a servo you haven't been to before. Yes, there's an ad pop-up, but it's easy to exit from the ad back to the app (unlike some apps)

You would have to be made of money not to use Petrol Spy. However, be aware that it is not easy to comment on the status of a service station. So you may arrive at an outlet that only fuels trucks and that could result in an unintended hotel stay. Come on folks, pay for the app subscription and support an Australian team. That will pay for them and they will save you the price of subscription the first time you use the app.

I love this app and it's saved me a ton in fuel. Very easy to use. It's not perfect, and here are my suggestions. 1 - it's awful when your mobile reception is patchy. Times out. 2 - I'd pay to remove the ads. They wreck the experience as no prices will load until the add loads. 3 - price graph for other fuel types would be good. 4 - landscape support and android auto support would be amazing.

Super helpful ap in this fuel economy, has been using it for a few years. They need to make revenue somewhere, so there′s always an ad when you open the app. But from memory they′re never obnoxious videos, just silent stactic ads that you can click away after about 3 seconds, which is very fuss-free as far as mobile ads go. Their "fuel up soon, price about to go up" notification function can be helpful, but I don′t know about economical trends enough to tell if they′ve been accurate.

Wish I hadnt updated, it is now really frustrating and not as user-friendly. Now, when you select the area to check fuel the list view has changed. When you click on list, it cuts off half the screen and only lists prices for the half that remains, so that you don't get to see all the prices that you want.in my area, the cheaper prices are downsouth, so when it cuts off the bottom half of the screen, it no longer lists the cheapest prices. And half a screen only shows 3 at a time, not enough.

app becoming sluggish and forcing towards paid subscription. once was a great app. constantly getting no GPS location and I know it's an app issue and not my settings.

Great app, can you provide a dark mode view in the app? and is there a paid version to rid me of the ads?. Also the first time I open it, the map roads are missing, the second time they appear. I really want ad free and dark mode. don't know what's going on but I registered 2 weeks ago you sent a confirmation code today it doesn't work and gives a server error. pointless exercise.

It's accurate with at the pump. The pop up ads are very intrusive upon app start-up. The banner ad at the bottom is much less of an irritation

I find the handiest feature is it notifies me if petrol is about to go up in price so I can buy before it does. the app does have ads, but I have been using it a month and so far they haven't been disruptive. at this point I would pay for a reasonably priced version not because it's annoying unpaid but because the app has literally saved me money.

This app is way better than any Australian fuel tracking app, currently on the market. For starters, it covers the whole country in one single app (not an app for each state). It also seems to have the most accurate & up to date price information. I would like to see the ability to add your favourite fuel station, when you register with your own account details.

An absolute life-saver. Don't pay 40¢ a litre more than you have to when there's a better option down the road. I'll admit the ads are sometimes a tad obnoxious but I've seen a lot worse on apps that give me a lot less, and it's nice knowing the app is being run by real people and not the oil companies trying to squeeze us. Kudos to the many users that diligently update the stations every day!

Inherently good app but the interface is a bit clunky when dealing with lots of stations in an area or trying to find the best price on a route. Suggestions. 1. Allow a yearly subscription model to remove ads for those that are happy to pay. 2. Allow filter by station brand and probably a couple of other things in other comments. 3. Modernise the interface, font size, icons, etc. 4. Bit more tricky, but a Google maps integration or data source to find best prices along a plotted route.

I've been pretty happy with the app overall for the last few years, but the last few weeks I keep getting ads poping up in Chinese or Japanese which given that I don't speak either of these languages makes me reluctant to click on the ad to attempt to close, as there is no X button visible. My only option is to force close the app and reopen and hope for a different ad.

This is a 5 star app. Thanks 👍🙏 Could you implement a feature where you can see if a service station has a toilet available please. For example, green if they do, red if not. It seems to be more common that highway service stations are not having public toilets which is very frustrating when you only stop every few 100kms for fuel, coffee and a toilet!

Have been using "PetrolSpy" for about a year. I found the prices to be accurate. Easy to review servo prices in the surrounding location that I am in, as well as for the whole country, which is great when planning a long trip. Only one advert. pops up right on opening the app. and is easy to close
