This app does "Account Logged Out" more often than my company teams re-authentication happens. It's a toothbrush app that does not need to be that secure. They need to figure out a way to keep the authentication tokens active. Why does it need to log you out, enable the biometrics if it needs to be that secure but making me re-login every week or so is dumb.

I have been using this app since 2019 and have always have connection issues. Lately (last month or so) the brush will not stay connected. At least once a day I have to clear the cache AND toggle Bluetooth to get it to work. Sometimes even that doesn't work. I have removed the brush from connections, cleared cache and user data, uninstalled/reinstalled the app and nothing changes. I have other devices that use Bluetooth and never have this issue. When this works, I like the brush.

Bluetooth connection only works a small percentage of the time. In order for it to work, I have to clear the Bluetooth and Sonicare storage caches almost daily, and, even then, am not always successful trying to connect. Went thru the 800 number and, while I got some help, I also received a lot of attitude from one agent (yes, I reported that).

After being harassed by the app to install a firmware update to my brush I finally gave in and opened the app (I do not use the app often). If you want to use the app you are forced to share all your info with Philips. If you decide you do not want to, you are stuck in an infinite loop between them explaining what info the use and a screen with an option slider. You can use the phone's home button to get out.

App is a major let down from how the box sells it. It has a neat diagram of your mouth and tells yu when it thinks youve done something wrong, but not what it thinks you could do better. And you cant see that data over time. all you can see is how often you brush. I can do that with a calendar and a pen. The only thing it really seems useful for is selling more heads.

Needs A LOT of improvement! The app does not pair with the brush handle via bluetooth. On the rare occasion it finds your brush handle, it will only track your progress if and only if you are standing upright the whole time (considering I tend to lean over the sink, this is a problem). I would definitely use the app if it worked consistently because it does help with the different brush modes (different time needed on sections of teeth depending on which setting you use- gum care vs. whitening, etc) on the 9700 model, but not worth the hassel just to brush my teeth.

I have a 7500 ExpertClean toothbrush and this app won't connect to it. More accurately, it only connects to the handle when it is unpaired. Then the app finds the handle, pairs up and connects. Afterwards it cannot connect. So I have to unpair and start all over. To make things worse, I cannot even contact support via the app. The app displays some support information and immediately replaces it with an alert telling me (guess what?) to connect the toothbrush.

User beware: If you ever change your email, the application will become a nightmare. The app doesnt have a "log out" or a way to edit your email. Months ago I had to switch to another email provider. I was able to update my account profile in the Phillips web site, but the app keeps using my old email address so it won't sync up the data with my account. Even worse, it always asks me to log in and gets stuck in the process, like it cannot understand that my phiilips account has a different email than the app has internally. It has become almost unusable at this point. Customer service has told me I have to remove and reinstall the app to change the email, which will wipe out my data, more than a year of usage. Unacceptable!

Did not record properly, says i missed more than half of my mouth when I absolutely didn't, I had it set for 2 min and for some reason it cut it short and then it complains about me not brushing long enough. It is extremely picky about what settings I had it on and had to change everything just to get it to accept that I had started that session. Annoying and worthless.

I like the idea of this app, but it's not as customizable as I would like and the fact that you need your phone open for every brush. I would like to see a way to change the length of time for each section(longer time) and customized brushing directions. I like to brush one side first rather than back & front. The other issue I have with it that you have to hold your brush s certain way for the app to detect it. I think I spend more time trying to angle my brush just so the app can detect it.

This app does not work, at all. I connect to my toothbrush with Bluetooth and then when I try to log into my account it gives me a server connection error. I try to create a new account with the same email and it recognizes that I already have an account but I can't log in so I can't use the app. I close it and open it to find a confirm code from text screen. I never got a text. I try to enter my phone number so it can resend and it crashes. GARBAGE APP!!!

I love the toothbrush and how it times my heushing with the app. I am not impressed by how the brush and app have syncing problems. I followed the FAQ instructions to clear data the first time it happened but it did it again the next day. That is too much effort for a daily habit. So, my 7-day data is not correct but I am able to see my daily data. I use other apps and devices that seamlessly sync using my phone's Bluetooth so this is only happening with this app.

The toothbrush is great but the app is a complete waste of time. You can set it up and get a "Success!" message. The next time you use it, it can't find the handle. You can uninstall the app and go through it again but it still won't find the handle afterward. Save yourself a lot of frustration and skip the app. My Withings devices have an app which works flawlessly so I know it's possible and I have the current model Samsung Galaxy. Philips should be ashamed.

Overall it works rather well. Tracks your brushing sessions, shows you where and how long to brush, and enforces good brushing habits. While the app is goods, it's slightly annoying it'll only track when the app is up. It would be nice if the brushes had their own memory to temporarily store non-transmitted data. Also, the brush doesn't always pick up what side of your teeth you are brushing. But these are just slight nuances and I'd definitely say Sonicare brushes are the best smart brushes.

Does a good job of leading you through a thorough brushing, and customizes the brushing pattern to your needs. It doesn't do some things that seem obvious to me, like prompting you when to switch from brushing the outside to the inside face of your teeth. If for whatever reason you don't get even coverage in your brushing, it doesn't let you go back and do the touch up, instead, if you reactivate your brush, it starts a whole new brushing cycle. Overall good though, and recommended.

The app is great and allows for easy tracking of brushing sessions and brush head use. However, sometimes the app struggles to connect to the brush handle, which takes away the tracking capabilities. Also, the app doesn't track the brushing sessions unless it's on and open, so you have to have your phone with you when you brush your teeth. It would be nice if the app could track the sessions without having to be open.

The app is a disappointment when comparing to the brush. First, the tracking of the brush location only works if you follow the exact path of the region. Then if you use deep clean, the timer is shorter when the app is running (20 seconds per region compare to 30). There is no way to continue brushing after time is up unless you want to start a new session. The toothbrush itself is good, but the app is a very big disappointment overall.

This works, but a lot of features could be improved. For example, you can only mark 3 areas to focus, there is no way to leave feedback for potential features, the main page only shows the last 7 days, it is very general on it tracking where you're brushing, and you can't tell it you want to redo spots outside of 1 or 2 modes.

At first, the brush would only connect temporarily, like about 30 seconds, and wouldn't connect again unless I power cycled my phone. After about a week, and giving the app a chance to connect each time I brushed, it suddenly started working like it was supposed to. I'm not sure how reliable it is, but may just be issues starting off. Sonicare ExpertClean 7500.

App works well enough at guiding my brushing and prompting me to cover everywhere evenly (which is more than enough reason to use it) but fails to record my sessions about 80% of the time. At the end it gives me the "you turned the handle off mid-brush" pop-up for a split-second before just dropping back to the main UI as though I never brushed at all. I can imagine that being a nightmare for anyone with OCD about the tracking being 100% "green."
