This app is pretty ok! I use it for completely random palettes as an art exercise and it works well! It helps that its super easy to use and is accessible to any artist. I feel as though it would be even better if things weren't locked behind a pay wall. I feel as you use the app more, the abundance of ads tend to get more annoying ( I know ppl need to make their money and all that),but I feel it can be a bit excessive at times and holds the app back from being great.
Amazing! Probably the most flushed out but still easy to use pallet generator Ive used. I love the color blind filters too, Nice touch! I think a bit more of a "hands on" tutorial would be usesful to new users to get the gang of the app, but its petty easy to figure out so it wouldnt NEED one, it would have been a lot more helpful when i first started. Overall, great work! 5 stars! ^^

Whoops It's me (Hamilton)
I'm trying to get just simple, monochromatic gradients, right? For example, black to red to white. But when I select the gradient option, it doesn't follow the colors I put in? So instead of dark red like I want, it makes a gradient from dark pinkish to red, and then from red to a far more vibrant pink. (Response to dev) I do have the 2 gradient stops turned on, but still face the same problem unfortunately :(
It's great if all you want to do is randomly select a color pallette. The moment you start locking colors though, you'll find that it doesn't matter what generator settings you use (except random). I have literally selected "complementary" and when I locked in green, all it gave were greens. No reds. The app is broken.
It's a really good app, it even gives you an option to pick colors to help with color blind people of different types. It does suck you have to pay premium for the image color picker thing but they do have to get their money. It does kinda suck on how it's $3 for the image color picker, but it's also to get rid of the ads which do also help them get money so I guess it's fair.
Perfect for digital and painting! I don't often give reviews, but I would give more than 5 ⭐ if I could. The app doesnt have disruptive ads but I bought the premium for the advanced features anyway. I wasn't sure of how to use the interface so I emailed support and within 10 min we had shot a few emails back and forth answering all my questions.
I really like the app but there is no easy way to export all palettes to be able to use and test them on Desktop. Maybe you could produce a pdf document or to show all the swatches on a website? It would make me very happy. As this app is great for experimenting, it would have been very nice, if you could easily experiment with the outcomes even further. I will give it 5 stars, if you add the feature to the app. It is great for creating random color palettes which follow basic rules of color theory. Paid version is a must in my opinion as the ads are very annoying but it's great that you can test the free version.
Ahm, I love the colors it produced before. Not too strict with the color harmonies, so the colors seems not to be too forced to fit in the selected harmony. I mean "complementary" is too much complementary. I think some of the color flexibility is gone unlike some three versions before, some time you add "Pastel". I love the Pastel setting, but I don't like what happened to the others, except Monochromatic. Also, I don't like the colors arranged in an alternating pattern.
A wondearful and simple color palette generator. I love all the different options. Though I'm not a fan of the new color wheel replacing color harmony. Having to pick a color harmony, pick the colors you want, and then add and delete colors if you want more added to the palette is clunky and awkward. The old method of being able to just pick a harmony then use the "generate a new palette," and lock the colors you want was a MUCH better and more reliable method.
Amazing app, but I wish there'd be options to change not only one color, but the whole palette you decided, and an option for CMYK too! The app is one of the best I've seen so far, but some things more would be great! [EDIT: Thank you for answering! I've never seen CMYK being named RYB before so that explain my confusion! ♥️ Amazing app nonetheless!]
Exactly what I'm looking for! Main features that is an instant buy for me: the color palette harmony generator (so complete, even with pastel 👌), ability to share via link and PNG (so useful to transfer to PC), complete customization in color choosing menu, and the color picker from images. The UI is so clean and intuitive as well, but at first I'm a bit confused with the undo redo function swipe, maybe an animated tutorial would help. Overall, one of my best purchase 👍👍
Love the app. I got so many really pretty color plates from it. Also the color blindness modes are unobtrusive and easy to switch between. Only 1 thing I wish were different. I wish that you could pick multiple modes like a patel gradient with triadic color harmony. But still over all well balanced app. Also the frequency and types of ads are unobtrusive and don't take away much. Still considering the premium option for the image color picker and no ads. 5/5
It's literally perfect for getting colors that work well together, mostly what amazed me was the fact it can help you mix contrast colors!^^ [Edit]: You asked what it would take to make it 5 stars, I'd say less ads but I'd rather have an app that supports yall then something to use for completely free, I've changed it to Five stars because I honestly and wholeheartedly enjoy your app and the time you've obviously put into it. 🧡
I really like this app because I have trouble making color palletes for characters but here I can change what type of colors I want and I can generate newer palletes. I love this program! It has helped me a lot and made character color pallete making easier! Definitely a must download for people who do character design.
It's a pretty simple a nice app! I jus like the fact that it's straight forward, I've been using it a lot more lately for character design and such and (personally) it doesn't give colours with the same values (as in, yk, lightness?) Which is something i struggle with when creating designs. 10/10 would keep using
It's a great app. I'd even say, the best android pallete app out there. The dev is like, so cool and also open to feedback and ideas. If I was asked, how this app could be even better, I'd say: – Global adjustments over all palette colors. Like brightness, saturation, color filter that affects all palette colors. And nothing else I could think of. and one more thing, google play text formatting is trash
TLDR - developer is amazing, patient, and understanding. * Pigments app is the best thing I've come across for training your eye to color patterns & figuring out palettes. Do yourself a solid and purchase Premium to access the picture palette tool. Make sure you check/confirm the purchase! * For transparency: Originally I did a 1-Star review. I was wrong, it wasn't the app. :) Google auto-forced a refund the same instant I purchased Premium, then fudged their own refund date on developer's end.
Pigments is a really useful app if you want to do color palettes for characters and/or backgrounds but there's small problems that take off the last star, first off the harmony feels little forced and when you use different types of visions the hex doesn't change with the color on the screen leaving you guessing which color it is but after that the app is great for artists.
Seems pretty good. A few issues. Color slider at the bottom of the picker should not go to the edge of the screen. It makes it difficult to select accurately near the edge. Maybe make it a circle instead of a line? It would be great if there was a way to paste hex codes from the clipboard. Additionally, there are a lot of icons and they are somewhat confusing.
I really like coloring books, but sometimes I get stuck on a page. This app makes is awesome for spurring creativity and possible color schemes. Pretty intuitive controls, great customization options. There's a good amount of ads, but it's not overwhelming. Totally worth it for how good the app is imo
