PixelLab - Text on pictures

When I don't need AI, this is the first app I open for image editing, every time. Super easy to use for layering and fine-tuning images, text, and simple vector objects. Perfectly smooth operation (no lag at all!), and beautifully high-res output. There's a gap or two in its toolbox, but I'll hop onto another app for a minute to get that missing effect, then come right back to PixelLab to perfect the final result. Also, I recently reported a bug, and it was fixed the same day! Truly exceptional.

I love this app! Posting this here because there's a bug. The app today has suddenly changed the screen size so that the bottom icons are totally unusable, since they're covered up by the navigation icons. I work in tech; I've tried the usual force quit & reboot stuff, to no avail. No clue why it is doing this, but for right now it's currently unusable.

The app is great all-around for graphic designers except for one problem, which I would like the developers to fix, importing custom fonts. I've tried many possible ways to import fonts into the app, but it is not working. I have tried accessing my file manager from the app to import some downloaded fonts, but it doesn't show any. It just shows blank. I will review my rate to 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 if this issue has been rectified. Thank you.

Can't add custom fonts anymore. This was the best app I could find that was free and would let me add words to designs. But now the feature for adding downloaded fonts doesn't work anymore. No matter what, it simply won't add the file. I'm now on the hunt for a similar app until Support finds a way to fix it. Still 3 starts because the rest still works amd what I've downloaded before is still there.

I really like the app. The app has a lot of stuff to make a logo, which some other drawing apps can't. The problem is that this app is not drawer-friendly. When I tried to zoom in on an image and click out, It keeps bringing me back to original size. I would like a UI change to make it more for artists (like adding a pinch-to-zoom function), and I would also like different brushes, but I tend to use the default brush.

I Love it. So much more than a text on picture Editor. In my opinion it's better and easier to use than Photoshop and it's free and mobile which is nice on the go! As a graphic designer I use it all the time. Even more than my computer programs and even when I use them I detail them with this. Been using for close to 3 years now. Amazing app. Great company. Keep it up!

The best app you're yet to download if you haven't. I would rate it a 10 if I could. I've liked this app ever since I downloaded it and haven't had a single regret. It's entirely free and ads would only pop up when your data is turned on. My only suggestion would be a "redo button" and a "clip tool" Thanks to the developers of this app

I've been using this app for at least a decade, and it's absolutely my go-to app for nearly any basic photo project. Play around with it, and I think you'll find it does more than you expect, and gives you excellent control over each operation. Right now my pixel 7A is giving it grief when Pixellab tries to access my own fonts, but if I could get that fixed, I wouldn't trade this app for any other!

I use pixelLab daily. Once you get used to the app, you realize just how powerful it can be. The control you have over every detail is unmatched by any other app I've tried. There are no annoying ads, except occasionally when you save your work, but I haven't had more than one ad in one session. Also, the developers were quick to address and fix any issues that previously popped up and I've not had any issues since. I wouldn't trade this app for anything! Great job guys!

Great app. But three main issues: 1. When you give a shape a color, the shape moves away from its original position. 2. When you want a small item to perfectly be in line with another item, the small item's selection lines and the circular mover at the bottom right are so big - they cover the horizontal & vertical alignment making it difficult to see whether the alignment is perfect. 3. When you crop or erase part of an image, the full image is still visible in the layers panel

Simple, intuitive UI, and good tools and output. You can pretty much do everything without any weird or wacky effects like other apps do. I wish they could do more, and even upgrade the UI since it's quite dated, and they could definitely add more tools like blend modes, and layer groups. With some additions, this app can honestly be a pocket Photoshop.

PixelLab is a great and powerful design app with amazing text and editing features. However, .plp project files are saved in the Android/data folder, which is not accessible on newer Android versions, making backup and transfer difficult. Also, custom fonts add successfully at first install, but later new fonts do not appear when added. Please fix these issues. Overall, very good app.

I love this app but the updated version ruins it all.. I can't insert custom fonts. This app even not allowing me to share my plp files so that I can backup them. Now that I even can't uninstall it as I will lose my data..This is very frustrating.The saved projects are not even showing in device folders.. please fix it.. I love this app so much..

it's a good and nice graphics design app, but need some additional features like having a personal login account whereby if you lost the phone you are currently using or maybe it got spoilt, you'll be able to see back all saved work when logged in on another phone 👌 Also image quality should also be added..... in order to come out clearer than the ones out now when printed out.

I LOVE IT!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THIS APP IS AMAZING!!! 📌(EDITED, as of 2 Days ago, there is a constant... An error has occurred while saving the image! When trying to save to Gallery🤦🏽‍♀️😟 12/25/2025 --- whatever has happened with the recent update, you cannot add text. The bottom portion is not showing and it's Blocked Off. This is pretty sad because I usually use this app every single day and I have not been able to use it for the past 2 or 3 days. ((( I had to take it from 5 Stars, down to 2 Stars.)))

I genuinely love the app but then I have suggestion for the dev team. Can you add a feature where designs can be saved as PDF file so it will be easier for printing. I've been using pixellab all my life but this particular thing holds me back a lot l. Whenever I want to design a printable design, I have to transition to Canva or Photoshop which I rarely use. Thank you

This is a great app. I have been using it for the past few years. But recently I have been experiencing some issues with the app. I am unable to add new custom fonts to the app. I am failing repeatedly. I have uninstalled the app and tried again. This also did not help. My old fonts are gone. Rather, I am unable to add new fonts. Therefore, I am drawing the attention of the pixellab team. Can you give me any solution?

This used to be a great app however all of their buttons have somehow magically moved underneath the navigation bar so you can't even access them. doesn't matter if you turn the orientation to portrait or landscape It just goes and hides the little buttons right underneath the navigation bar. can't even use this app anymore

Great app. However, it consumes so much space. it has taken close to 70GB on my storage and what's worse is that I can't even clear space from it, because it's impossible to. It just consumes as much space as it wants, yet, there's no way to clear space except the app is uninstalled or reinstalled. kindly fix this, please. Thank you

About: It's really an awesome photo editing software, i have been using this app since 3 years before. Suggestion: To make is app more brutal, please add blur tool, blending mode for images and also for text and fade mode or mask, it will help us to make projects more easier. Issue: Just 2 problems there are, first fix the issue of not showing .plp files (I had send a mail to you but you didn't response to that) and just add a redo button.
